Abstract

Educational philosophy plays a dominant role in shaping educational theory and practice by providing an epistemic and ethical foundation. This study examines recent literature (2023-2024) to analyze how philosophical concepts, such as Kuhn’s paradigm shifts and culturally rooted approaches like Ubuntu and Ujamaa, influence curriculum design and teaching methods. Using the PRISMA systematic review method, this research identifies 35 relevant documents and conducts an in-depth analysis of 13 journal articles discussing the role of philosophy in education. The findings indicate that philosophy contributes to enhancing critical literacy, epistemic decolonization, and strengthening inclusive educational strategies. This study also highlights the challenges in applying philosophical principles in global education systems, which are still predominantly influenced by Western-based curricula. Through a comprehensive literature review, this research asserts that educational philosophy is not only of academic value but also has practical implications for improving the relevance and quality of education. Therefore, integrating philosophical thought into education can serve as an innovative solution for creating a more inclusive, reflective, and contextual learning system.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of implementing the Discovery Learning model on students' science process skills. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, involving two groups: an experimental class (n = 16) using Discovery Learning and a control class (n = 15) using the lecture method. The research instruments include achievement tests, observation sheets,  and interviews with teachers and students. The results indicate that students who learned through Discovery Learning experienced a significant improvement in science process skills, particularly in observing, classifying, predicting, and communicating learning outcomes. Statistical analysis using the t-test showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups, with tcalculated=3.17 = 3.17 greater than ttable=2.045 at a significance level of p<0.0. These findings highlight the importance of inquiry-based learning strategies in improving the quality of science education. The study was conducted over eight weeks, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of student progress.

Abstract

Pengembangan dan Implementasi Laboratorium Virtual Ekstraksi dalam Membangun Keterampilan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi (HOTS) untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan media laboratorium virtual pada topik ekstraksi guna meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) serta hasil belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas mahasiswa pendidikan kimia: kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan laboratorium virtual dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes hasil belajar, angket validasi ahli, angket respons mahasiswa, dan rubrik HOTS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan, dengan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,74 (kategori tinggi) pada kelompok eksperimen dan rata-rata skor HOTS sebesar 90,53 (kategori sangat tinggi). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa laboratorium virtual efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar sekaligus mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa Development and Implementation of Virtual Extraction Laboratory in Building High-Level Thinking Skills (HOTS) to Improve Learning Outcomes  Development and Implementation of Virtual Extraction Laboratory in Building High-Level Thinking Skills (HOTS) to Improve Learning Outcomes. This study aimed to develop and implement a virtual laboratory media on the topic of extraction to enhance higher order thinking skills (HOTS) and improve students' learning outcomes. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The subjects were two classes of chemistry education students: an experimental group using the virtual laboratory and a control group using conventional methods. Instruments included a learning achievement test, expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and a HOTS rubric. Results showed the media was highly feasible, with an N-Gain score of 0.74 (high category) for the experimental group and an average HOTS score of 90.53 (very high category). It can be concluded that the virtual laboratory is effective in improving learning outcomes and developing students' higher order thinking skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media virtual laboratorium berbasis proyek pada pengajaran Kromatografi Gas serta menguji kelayakan, efektivitas, dan respon siswa terhadap penggunaannya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE melalui analisis kebutuhan pembelajaran, desain dan pengembangan virtual laboratorium, standarisasi, uji coba, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah 68 mahasiswa, yaitu kelas PSKM 23A dan PSKM 23B Jurusan Kimia Universitas Negeri Medan. Instrumen penelitian mencakup rubrik HOTS, pretest-posttest, lembar validasi ahli, serta angket respon mahasiswa. Hasil validasi virtual laboratorium berbasis proyek berada pada kategori sangat baik, dengan skor (M= 3.595 ± 1,25) dari ahli materi dan media. Uji coba menunjukkan terbangunnya HOTS mahasiswa pada kategori sangat baik (M= 87,55 ± 0,121). Selain itu, hasil belajar mahasiswa meningkat dengan nilai n-gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 77,47% kategori sangat tinggi dan kelas kontrol 45,09% kategori sedang berdasarkan data pretest-posttest. Respon mahasiswa terhadap media virtual laboratorium memperoleh skor 80,61% (sangat positif). Terdapat korelasi antara keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa kelas eksperimen dengan rhitung 0.551 kategori korelasi cukup tinggi. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa virtual laboratorium berbasis proyek efektif dalam membangun keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa, sekaligus berpotensi menjadi alternatif sumber belajar digital yang relevan dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Development of Virtual Media for a Project-Based Gas Chromatography Laboratory in Building HOTS Skills to Improve Learning Outcomes This study aims to develop a project-based virtual laboratory media in teaching Gas Chromatography and to test the feasibility, effectiveness, and student responses to its use. The type of research used is research and development with the ADDIE model through learning needs analysis, design and development of virtual laboratories, standardization, trials, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were 68 students, namely PSKM 23A and PSKM 23B classes of the Chemistry Department, State University of Medan. The research instruments included HOTS rubrics, pretest-posttest, expert validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results of the project-based virtual laboratory validation were in the very good category, with a score (M = 3.595 ± 1.25) from material and media experts. The trial showed that students' HOTS was built in the very good category (M = 87.55 ± 0.121). In addition, student learning outcomes increased with an n-gain value of 77.47% in the experimental class (very high category) and 45.09% in the control class (moderate category) based on pretest-posttest data. Student responses to the virtual laboratory media obtained a score of 80.61% (very positive). There is a correlation between high-level thinking skills and increased learning outcomes for students in the experimental class with rcount 0.551, a fairly high correlation category. This finding demonstrates that project-based virtual laboratories are effective in developing higher-order thinking skills and improving student learning outcomes, while also having the potential to become an alternative digital learning resource relevant to student needs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pola integrasi kearifan lokal dalam penyelenggaraan pemerintahan desa dengan menitikberatkan pada praktik Tudang Sipulung dan sistem nilai Siri’ na Pacce. Kedua unsur tersebut diposisikan sebagai landasan budaya dalam proses musyawarah dan pengambilan keputusan bersama. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan melibatkan 25 informan yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif terbatas, serta analisis dokumen kebijakan desa.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tudang Sipulung berperan sebagai ruang deliberasi yang menjembatani nilai-nilai adat dengan mekanisme pemerintahan formal, sekaligus meningkatkan ruang partisipasi masyarakat dalam menyampaikan aspirasi. Nilai Siri’ na Pacce berfungsi sebagai pedoman etis yang menekankan martabat, empati, dan tanggung jawab sosial, sehingga mendorong aparatur desa menjalankan tugas secara berintegritas sesuai norma adat dan hukum formal. Integrasi tersebut menghadapi tantangan berupa potensi konflik kewenangan akibat adanya legitimasi kultural dan legal-formal yang berjalan bersamaan. Praktik Tudang Sipulung umumnya dimanfaatkan sebagai tahapan awal sebelum Musyawarah Desa formal, meskipun tingkat partisipasi aktif masyarakat masih terbatas. Selain itu, efektivitas tata kelola sangat dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan elit lokal dalam mengelola perbedaan kepentingan. Temuan lain menunjukkan rendahnya pemahaman generasi muda terhadap nilai adat, meskipun mereka lebih melek teknologi. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan model institutional bricolage untuk memperkuat integrasi kearifan lokal dan pemerintahan formal secara berkelanjutan. The Role of Local Wisdom in Village Public Policy Governance: A Phenomenological Study in Moncongloe Village  This study examines the integration of local wisdom into village governance by focusing on the practices of Tudang Sipulung and the value system of Siri’ na Pacce. Both concepts function as cultural foundations for deliberation and collective decision-making processes. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving 25 informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, limited participatory observation, and analysis of village policy documents.The findings indicate that Tudang Sipulung serves as a deliberative forum that bridges local cultural values with formal governance mechanisms, while also expanding opportunities for community members to express collective aspirations. Meanwhile, Siri’ na Pacce operates as an ethical framework that emphasizes personal dignity, empathy, and collective responsibility, encouraging village leaders to perform their duties with high integrity in accordance with customary norms and formal legal standards. However, the integration process faces several challenges, particularly tensions arising from dual legitimacy cultural and legal-formal which may lead to authority conflicts. In practice, Tudang Sipulung is often positioned as a preliminary stage prior to the formal Village Assembly to build initial consensus, although levels of active community participation remain uneven. Governance effectiveness is also influenced by the capacity of local elites to mediate diverse interests. Additionally, the study reveals that younger generations, despite higher digital literacy, demonstrate lower understanding of traditional values. Based on these findings, the study recommends the adoption of an institutional bricolage model to strengthen the sustainable integration of local wisdom within formal village governance systems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dapat menumbuhkan budaya kerja produktif guru di SMK Negeri 1 Bangkinang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah studi kasus kualitatif dengan melibatkan 10 partisipan yang terdiri dari kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan guru. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, dan studi dokumentasi, serta dianalisis dengan teknik analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menerapkan empat dimensi kepemimpinan transformasional secara konsisten, yaitu idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, dan individualized consideration. Implementasi ini berhasil menciptakan budaya kerja produktif yang ditandai dengan peningkatan kolaborasi antarguru sebesar 40%, pengembangan 12 modul pembelajaran baru dalam satu semester, peningkatan nilai uji kompetensi siswa sebesar 15%, serta peningkatan penyerapan lulusan di industri dari 65% menjadi 78%. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional efektif dalam menumbuhkan budaya kerja produktif guru SMK ketika keempat dimensinya diterapkan secara terpadu dan berkelanjutan. Kontribusi ilmiah terletak pada pengujian empiris model kepemimpinan transformasional secara utuh dalam konteks pendidikan kejuruan. Rekomendasi yang diajukan meliputi penerapan model serupa di SMK lain, pengembangan sistem mentoring, peningkatan pelatihan teknis guru, dan penguatan jejaring dengan industri. Transformational Leadership of School Principals in Developing a Productive Teacher Work Culture: A Case Study at SMK Negeri 1 Bangkinang This study aims to understand how the principal's transformational leadership fosters a productive work culture among vocational teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Bangkinang. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving 10 participants including the principal, vice principals, and teachers. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using interactive analysis techniques. The findings reveal that the principal consistently implemented the four dimensions of transformational leadership: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. This approach successfully cultivated a productive work culture characterized by a 40% increase in inter-teacher collaboration, the development of 12 new learning modules in one semester, a 15% improvement in student competency test scores, and an increase in graduate absorption in industry from 65% to 78%. The study concludes that transformational leadership is effective in fostering a productive work culture among vocational teachers when all four dimensions are applied in an integrated and sustainable manner. The scientific contribution lies in the empirical testing of the comprehensive transformational leadership model within the vocational education context. Recommendations include implementing a similar model in other vocational schools, developing a mentoring system, enhancing technical training for teachers, and strengthening industry networks.

Abstract

Literasi kesehatan pada remaja memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk perilaku hidup sehat jangka panjang yang berkelanjutan. Artikel ini merupakan tinjauan sistematis mengenai berbagai intervensi peningkatan literasi kesehatan remaja dengan mengikuti pedoman PRISMA. Proses pencarian literatur dilakukan melalui basis data Google Scholar dan PubMed untuk periode 2015–2025, yang menghasilkan 962 artikel, namun hanya 9 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa intervensi berbasis sekolah, digital, dan komunitas efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, serta keterampilan remaja dalam mengakses, memahami, dan menggunakan informasi kesehatan secara tepat. Program berbasis sekolah dinilai mampu menjangkau kelompok remaja secara luas, sedangkan intervensi digital dianggap lebih relevan dengan karakteristik generasi muda yang akrab dengan teknologi. Meski demikian, sebagian besar penelitian masih terbatas pada desain pra–pasca tanpa kelompok kontrol serta menggunakan instrumen pengukuran yang bervariasi. Keterbatasan ini menghambat generalisasi temuan, sehingga diperlukan penelitian lanjutan dengan desain eksperimental yang lebih kuat dan instrumen yang terstandarisasi untuk menghasilkan bukti ilmiah yang lebih valid dan dapat diandalkan. Strategies to Improve Health Literacy in Adolescents: A PRISMA-Based Literature Review  Health literacy in adolescents plays a crucial role in shaping long-term, sustainable healthy lifestyles. This article is a systematic review of various interventions to improve adolescent health literacy, following the PRISMA guidelines. A literature search was conducted through Google Scholar and PubMed databases for the period 2015–2025, yielding 962 articles, but only 9 met the inclusion criteria. The analysis showed that school-based, digital, and community-based interventions are effective in improving adolescents' knowledge, attitudes, and skills in accessing, understanding, and using health information appropriately. School-based programs are considered capable of reaching a broad group of adolescents, while digital interventions are considered more relevant to the characteristics of the technology-savvy younger generation. However, most studies are still limited to pre-post designs without a control group and use varying measurement instruments. These limitations hamper the generalizability of the findings, so further research with more robust experimental designs and standardized instruments is needed to generate more valid and reliable scientific evidence.

Abstract

Mutasi Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) merupakan instrumen strategis dalam manajemen sumber daya manusia yang berfungsi menjaga dinamika organisasi dan meningkatkan efisiensi birokrasi. Namun, dalam praktiknya, mutasi ASN di Indonesia kerap menimbulkan polemik karena tidak sepenuhnya dilaksanakan berdasarkan prinsip meritokrasi dan profesionalisme. Data Komisi Aparatur Sipil Negara (KASN) tahun 2024 menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 37% dari total pengaduan yang diterima berkaitan dengan pelanggaran sistem merit dalam proses mutasi dan promosi jabatan. Fakta ini menunjukkan masih lemahnya tata kelola mutasi yang berpotensi menurunkan kinerja, integritas, dan kepercayaan publik terhadap birokrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen mutasi pegawai di Badan Kepegawaian Daerah (BKD) Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah serta mengevaluasi efektivitas pelaksanaannya dalam mendukung kinerja organisasi. Penelitian ini berbeda dari studi sebelumnya karena tidak hanya menelaah kepatuhan administratif terhadap peraturan mutasi, tetapi juga mengkaji secara mendalam keterkaitan antara penerapan prinsip meritokrasi, transparansi, dan kinerja kelembagaan melalui pendekatan manajemen berbasis kompetensi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif, melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, dan analisis dokumen kebijakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses mutasi di BKD Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah secara umum telah berjalan sesuai prosedur, namun belum sepenuhnya objektif dan akuntabel. Hambatan yang muncul meliputi pemetaan kompetensi yang terbatas, intervensi kepentingan tertentu, serta kurangnya evaluasi sistematis terhadap dampak mutasi. Implikasinya, penguatan sistem manajemen ASN harus diarahkan pada transformasi kelembagaan yang menekankan akuntabilitas, kinerja, dan integritas agar mutasi benar-benar menjadi sarana pengembangan sumber daya manusia dan peningkatan kualitas pelayanan publik. Analysis of the Implementation and Challenges of Mutation Management at the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) of Central Kalimantan Province: Qualitative Findings and Policy Recommendations The mutation (transfer) of Civil Servants (ASN) is a strategic instrument in human resource management that functions to maintain organizational dynamics and enhance bureaucratic efficiency. However, in practice, ASN mutations in Indonesia often generate controversy because they are not fully implemented based on the principles of meritocracy and professionalism. Data from the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN) in 2024 indicate that approximately 37% of total complaints received were related to violations of the merit system in the processes of mutation and promotion. This fact reflects weaknesses in mutation governance that may undermine performance, integrity, and public trust in the bureaucracy. This study aims to analyze employee mutation management at the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) of Central Kalimantan Province and to evaluate its effectiveness in supporting organizational performance. This study differs from previous research in that it not only examines administrative compliance with mutation regulations, but also explores in depth the relationship between the application of meritocracy principles, transparency, and institutional performance through a competency-based management approach. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive design, utilizing in-depth interviews, field observations, and analysis of policy documents. The findings indicate that the mutation process at the BKD of Central Kalimantan Province has generally followed established procedures; however, it has not yet been fully objective and accountable. The main constraints include limited competency mapping, intervention from certain interests, and the lack of systematic evaluation of mutation impacts. These findings imply that strengthening the ASN management system should be directed toward institutional transformation that emphasizes accountability, performance, and integrity, so that mutations genuinely function as a means of human resource development and improvement in the quality of public services

Abstract

Tantangan yang dihadapi guru dalam mengajarkan mata pelajaran dasar-dasar kuliner di kelas X SMK Negeri 3 Kota Solok adalah rendahnya motivasi dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi teknik memotong sayuran, yang berdampak pada menurunnya nilai hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas X Kuliner melalui penerapan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Quizizz. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes pemahaman konsep dan angket motivasi belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada nilai rata-rata pemahaman siswa dari 72,15 menjadi 85,40, serta peningkatan motivasi belajar ke kategori sangat baik. Temuan ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan media Quizizz tidak hanya mampu meningkatkan partisipasi dan pemahaman siswa, tetapi juga sesuai dengan semangat Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan pembelajaran aktif, menyenangkan, dan berpusat pada peserta didik.  Implementation of Quizizz Learning Media on Vegetable Cutting Material at SMKN 3, Solok City  The challenge faced by teachers in teaching culinary basics in grade X of SMK Negeri 3 Kota Solok is the low motivation and understanding of students regarding vegetable cutting techniques, which has an impact on decreasing student learning outcomes. This study aims to improve the understanding and motivation of Culinary students in grade X through the application of interactive learning media based on Quizizz. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research instruments include a concept understanding test and a learning motivation questionnaire. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the average score of student understanding from 72.15 to 85.40, as well as an increase in learning motivation to the very good category. These findings indicate that the use of Quizizz media is not only able to increase student participation and understanding, but also in accordance with the spirit of the Independent Curriculum which emphasizes active, fun, and student-centered learning.

Abstract

Human Computer Interaction (HCI) adalah bidang multi disiplin ilmu yang berfokus pada interaksi antara manusia dan sistem komputer, khususnya dalam sistem informasi kesehatan seperti sistem pendataan pasien. Artikel ini mengkaji HCI dalam konteks sistem pendataan pasien melalui pendekatan filsafat ilmu, yang meliputi 3 pendekatan yakni ontologi, epistemologi, dan aksiologi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu studi pustaka dengan menelaah literatur jurnal nasional dan internasional terkait HCI, sistem informasi kesehatan, dan filsafat ilmu. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa secara ontologi, sistem pendataan pasien terdiri dari entitas pengguna, perangkat keras, perangkat lunak, antarmuka, serta data medis. Secara epistemologi, pengetahuan diperoleh melalui usability testing dan validasi data. Secara aksiologi, HCI memberikan manfaat berupa peningkatan efisiensi layanan, akurasi data, dan perlindungan privasi pasien. Dengan pendekatan filsafat ini, HCI dalam sistem pendataan pasien dipahami sebagai suatu sistem yang tidak hanya teknis, tetapi juga bermakna dan etis. Human-Computer Interaction in Patient Data Management Systems: An Ontological, Epistemological, and Axiological Perspective Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is a multidisciplinary field focused on the interaction between humans and computer systems, especially in health information systems such as patient data management systems. This paper examines HCI within the context of patient data management systems through a philosophical framework that includes ontology, epistemology, and axiology. The methodology employed is a literature review, analyzing relevant national and international journals related to HCI, health information systems, and the philosophy of science. The findings indicate that, from an ontological perspective, a patient data management system consists of entities such as users, hardware, software, interfaces, and medical data. From an epistemological viewpoint, knowledge is acquired through usability testing and data validation. From an axiological standpoint, HCI brings benefits in terms of enhanced service efficiency, data accuracy, and patient privacy protection. With this philosophical approach, HCI in patient data management systems is understood not only as a technical phenomenon but also as a meaningful, valuable, and ethical system.
