Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan metode active learning tipe Quiz Team dalam meningkatkan minat dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Terara pada tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Terara pada tahun pelajaran 2015/2016, sementara sampel penelitian terdiri dari kelas VIIB sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 38 orang dan kelas VIIA sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 40 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah tes hasil belajar dan angket respon siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 73,29 dengan nilai tertinggi 90 dan nilai terendah 45. Sementara itu, kelas kontrol memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 52,25 dengan nilai tertinggi 80 dan nilai terendah 25. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa respon siswa terhadap metode pembelajaran tipe Quiz Team adalah 34,68 (dalam kategori tinggi), menunjukkan bahwa siswa merespon baik terhadap metode tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 5,64, sementara ttabel sebesar 1,668. Karena thitung > ttabel, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran tipe Quiz Team efektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan prestasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran fisika. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah agar para guru di SMP Negeri 1 Terara mempertimbangkan penggunaan metode pembelajaran aktif tipe Quiz Team dalam pembelajaran fisika. Selain itu, penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor lain yang berpengaruh terhadap minat dan prestasi belajar siswa. The Effectiveness of the Quiz Team Type Active Learning Method in Increasing Interest and Achievement in Learning Physics  This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using the active learning method called Quiz Team in improving the interest and academic achievement of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Terara in the academic year 2015/2016. The research utilizes an experimental research method. The study population consists of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Terara in the academic year 2015/2016, while the research sample consists of class VIIB as the experimental group with 38 students and class VIIA as the control group using conventional teaching methods with 40 students. The sampling technique employed is cluster random sampling. The research instruments used for data collection are learning achievement tests and student response questionnaires. Based on data analysis, the experimental group obtained an average score of 73.29 with the highest score being 90 and the lowest score being 45. Meanwhile, the control group had an average score of 52.25 with the highest score being 80 and the lowest score being 25. The questionnaire results indicate that the students' response to the Quiz Team learning method is 34.68 (categorized as high), indicating that students responded positively to the method. Based on the hypothesis testing results, the calculated t-value is 5.64, while the critical t-value is 1.668. Since the calculated t-value is greater than the critical t-value, it can be concluded that the Quiz Team learning method is effective in improving students' interest and academic achievement in physics. The recommendation from this study is for teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Terara to consider the use of the active learning method called Quiz Team in physics instruction. Additionally, future research is expected to consider other factors that influence students' interest and academic achievement..

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi penerapan model PBL dalam pembelajaran sub-pokok bahasan kalor serta mengukur sejauh mana model tersebut dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus, meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, evaluasi, dan refleksi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan mengukur hasil belajar siswa melalui tes pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model PBL berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada sub-pokok bahasan kalor. Persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa pada siklus pertama adalah 63,16%, sementara pada siklus kedua meningkat menjadi 85%. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar metode pengajaran yang beragam, seperti model PBL, diterapkan secara lebih sering dalam pembelajaran, terutama pada mata pelajaran yang memerlukan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Model in Improving Science Physics Learning Outcomes on the subject of Calor This study aims to investigate the application of the PBL model in learning the sub-topic of calor and to measure the extent to which this model can improve student learning outcomes. This study uses a classroom action research method which consists of two cycles, including the stages of planning, implementing, observing, evaluating, and reflecting. Research data was collected by measuring student learning outcomes through multiple choice tests. The results showed that the implementation of the PBL model succeeded in increasing student learning outcomes in the sub-topic of heat. The percentage of student learning completeness in the first cycle was 63.16%, while in the second cycle it increased to 85%. Therefore, it is recommended that various teaching methods, such as the PBL model, be applied more frequently in learning, especially in subjects that require problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran Quantum Learning dalam pembelajaran fisika pokok bahasan besaran dan satuan serta menganalisis dampaknya terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek siswa kelas VII MTs. Nahdatul Mujahidin NW Jempong yang berjumlah 27 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data utama yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua teknik, yaitu tes dan non-tes. Tes disusun dan dilakukan untuk menilai tingkat kemampuan kognitif (prestasi belajar) siswa sesuai dengan siklus yang ada. Tes dilaksanakan pada akhir siklus I dan siklus II. Hasil penelitian diperoleh temuan pada siklus I, rata-rata ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar fisika siswa sebesar 63,16, dan pada siklus II rata-rata ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar fisika siswa sebesar 85. Peningkatan hasil belajar pada siklus II tersebut adalah signifikan secara statistik, dengan peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II mencapai 21,84. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Quantum Learning secara efektif membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep fisika dengan lebih baik..  Implementation of the Quantum Learning Learning Model to Improve Physics Learning Outcomes  The purpose of this study is to implement the Quantum Learning learning model in learning physics on the subject of units and units and to analyze its impact on improving student learning outcomes. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with class VII MTs students as subjects. Nahdatul Mujahidin NW Jempong, totaling 27 students. The main data collection technique used in this study was carried out using two techniques, namely tests and non-tests. Tests are arranged and carried out to assess the level of cognitive ability (learning achievement) of students according to the existing cycle. The test was carried out at the end of cycle I and cycle II. The results of the study showed that in the first cycle, the average classical completeness of students' physics learning outcomes was 63.16, and in the second cycle, the average classical completeness of students' physics learning outcomes was 85. The increase in learning outcomes in the second cycle was statistically significant. with an increase from cycle I to cycle II reaching 21.84. This shows that the application of Quantum Learning effectively helps students understand physics concepts better.

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir analitis menjadi hal yang penting bagi peserta didik, terutama dalam menyelesaikan persoalan-persoalan dalam pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) yang membutuhkan kemampuan analitis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi  kemampuan berpikir analitis peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal berbasis masalah pada materi tekanan kelas VIII dan mengkaji pola keterkaitannya dengan eksplorasi sains. Penelitian dilakukan di SMPN 1 Ponorogo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan desain naturalistik. Sampel terdiri dari 9 peserta didik yang dipilih melalui teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Profil kemampuan berpikir analitis peserta didik berbeda berdasarkan gaya belajar. Peserta didik dengan gaya belajar visual cenderung menjelaskan apa yang diketahui melalui penjelasan langsung dan rinci. Sementara itu, peserta didik dengan gaya belajar audiovisual lebih cenderung membentuk pola penalaran yang lebih sederhana dan melakukan generalisasi. Peserta didik dengan gaya belajar kinestetik cenderung menerapkan konsep yang berbeda dan unik namun tetap memiliki keterkaitan dengan permasalahan. 2) Terdapat keterkaitan antara kemampuan berpikir analitis peserta didik dan gaya belajar pada eksplorasi sains. Keterkaitan tersebut mencakup aspek experience, reasoning, modalitas, dan mindset dari peserta didik. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan teoritis dan praktis bagi para pendidik dalam menentukan pendekatan dan strategi pencapaian kompetensi analitis pada pembelajaran IPA sesuai dengan gaya belajar peserta didik di sekolah. Analytical Thinking Skills in Solving Problem-Based Questions in terms of Learners' Learning Styles  The ability to think analytically is important for students, especially in solving problems in Natural Sciences (IPA) lessons that require analytical skills. This study aims to identify students' analytical thinking skills in solving problem-based questions in class VIII pressure material and examine the pattern of their relationship to scientific exploration. The research was conducted at SMPN 1 Ponorogo. The research method used is qualitative with a naturalistic design. The sample consisted of 9 students who were selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, observation and documentation. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative methods. The results of the study show that: 1) The profile of students' analytical thinking abilities differs based on their learning style. Students with a visual learning style tend to explain what is known through direct and detailed explanations. Meanwhile, students with an audiovisual learning style are more likely to form simpler reasoning patterns and make generalizations. Students with a kinesthetic learning style tend to apply different and unique concepts but still have a connection with problems. 2) There is a relationship between students' analytical thinking skills and learning styles in scientific exploration. This linkage includes aspects of experience, reasoning, modality, and mindset of students. Thus, the results of this study are expected to provide theoretical and practical insights for educators in determining approaches and strategies for achieving analytical competence in science learning according to the learning styles of students at school.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran Guided Discovery untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa di SMAN 1 Lembar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 23 siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Lembar, terdiri dari 11 siswa laki-laki dan 12 siswa perempuan. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar observasi siswa dan guru, lembar tes evaluasi untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep, serta angket motivasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada siklus I, pembelajaran Guided Discovery belum mencapai hasil maksimal dengan presentase kelulusan klasikal sebesar 43,47%. Evaluasi pemahaman konsep siswa mencapai 64% (Baik), sedangkan evaluasi pemahaman guru mencapai 94,28% (Sangat Baik). Namun, pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dengan presentase kelulusan klasikal siswa mencapai 85,71%. Evaluasi pemahaman siswa mencapai 91% (Sangat Baik), dan evaluasi pemahaman guru mencapai 98,57% (Sangat Baik). Dengan demikian, penerapan pembelajaran Guided Discovery terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMAN 1 Lembar. Implementation Of Guided Discovery Learning To Improve The Motivation And Understanding Of Mathematics Concepts The purpose of this study was to describe the application of Guided Discovery learning to increase students' motivation and understanding of mathematical concepts at SMAN 1 Sheet. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is conducted in 2 cycles. The subjects of this study consisted of 23 students of class XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Lembar, consisting of 11 male students and 12 female students. The research instruments included student and teacher observation sheets, evaluation test sheets to measure conceptual understanding, and motivational questionnaires. The results showed that in cycle I, Guided Discovery learning had not reached maximum results with a classical passing percentage of 43.47%. Evaluation of students' understanding of concepts reached 64% (Good), while evaluations of teachers' understanding reached 94.28% (Very Good). However, in cycle II, there was a significant increase with the percentage of students' classical passing reaching 85.71%. Evaluation of student understanding reached 91% (Very Good), and evaluation of teacher understanding reached 98.57% (Very Good). Thus, the application of Guided Discovery learning proved to be effective in increasing the motivation and understanding of the concepts of class XI IPA 3 SMAN 1 Sheet.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model Project Based Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah statistika matematika siswa SMK Negeri 2 Mataram. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dengan masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tiga kali pertemuan. Prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas pada setiap siklusnya terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak (RPL) yang berjumlah 36 orang di SMK Negeri 2 Mataram. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X RPL yang menerapkan model pembelajaran project based learning. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes dan lembar observasi siswa dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I, kemampuan pemecahan masalah berada pada kategori cukup dengan pencapaian sebesar 50%. Sementara itu, hasil observasi aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan pencapaian sebesar 88,57%. Pada siklus II, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan pencapaian sebesar 83,3%. Sedangkan hasil observasi aktivitas siswa tetap berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan pencapaian 88,57%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Project Based Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan kepada para guru agar dalam proses pembelajaran dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning guna meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Application of the Project Based Learning Learning Model to Improve the Mathematics Statistics Problem Solving Ability of Students of SMKN 2 Mataram  The purpose of this research is to describe the application of the Project Based Learning model in improving the problem-solving abilities of mathematical statistics students at SMK Negeri 2 Mataram. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of three meetings. The classroom action research procedure in each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The population in this study were 36 students of class X Software Engineering (RPL) at SMK Negeri 2 Mataram. The research sample is class X RPL which applies the project based learning learning model. The instruments used in this study were tests and student and teacher observation sheets. The results showed that in the first cycle, the ability to solve problems was in the sufficient category with an achievement of 50%. Meanwhile, the results of observations of student activity were in the very good category with an achievement of 88.57%. In cycle II, the results showed that the ability to solve problems was in the very good category with an achievement of 83.3%. While the results of observations of student activity remained in the very good category with an achievement of 88.57%. Thus, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning learning model is effective in improving students' problem solving abilities. Therefore, it is hoped that teachers can apply the Project Based Learning learning model in the learning process to improve students' problem-solving skills

Abstract

Olah raga lempar cakram merupakan cabang olah raga atletik yang diperlombakan diolimpiade. Olah raga menggunakan cakram yang terbuat dari logam. Tidak tersdianya pasilitas memadai menyababkan olah raga hanya disampaikan secara teori. Dampaknya keterampilan siswa menjadi rendah. Dibutuhkan alat yang dimodifikasi sebagai alat bantu sehingga proses belajar tetap berjalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi efektivitas penggunaan alat bantu termodifikasi dalam menumbuhkan komptensi lempar cakram dan kterampilan psikomotorik siswa pada proses pemebalajaran lempar cakram. Penelitian ini merupakan pendidikan tindakan kelas. Variabel yang diukur dalam penelitian ini kompetensi kognitif dan keterampilan psikomotorik siswa. Variabel yang mempengaruhi alat bantu termodidikaasi cakram. Efektivitas alat bantu diukur berdasarkan ketuntasan belajar dan respon siswa. Instrument dalam penelitian berupa lembar wawancara dan tes pilihan ganda. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dideskrifsikan dalam tabel dan grafik. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan ditemukan penggunaan alat bantu termodifikasi cakram efektif dalam menumbuhkan komptensi kognitif dan psikomotorik siswa. Ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I sebesar 83% dan pada siklus II 90 %. Hasil belajar siswa laki-laki lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan siswa putri. Berdasarkan data ketuntasan belajar penggunaan alat bantu termodifikasi efektiv dalam menumbuhkan kompetensi kognitif dan psikomotorik siswa The Use of Modified Tools in Growing Students' Cognitive and Psychomotor Competence in Discus Throwing Learning  Discus throwing is an athletic sport that is contested in the Olympics. Exercise using discs made of metal. The unavailability of adequate facilities causes sports to only be delivered in theory. The impact of student skills is low. A modified tool is needed as a tool so that the learning process continues. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of using modified assistive devices in developing discus throwing competence and students' psychomotor skills in the discus throwing learning process. This research is a classroom action education. The variables measured in this study were students' cognitive competence and psychomotor skills. Variables affecting disc modified assist devices. The effectiveness of the aids is measured based on the mastery of learning and student responses. Instruments in this study were interview sheets and multiple choice tests. The data obtained is then described in tables and graphs. Based on the research that has been done, it was found that the use of modified discs was effective in growing students' cognitive and psychomotor competence. Mastery learning in the first cycle of 83% and 90% in the second cycle. The learning outcomes of male students are higher than female students. Based on the mastery learning data, the use of modified assistive devices is effective in developing students' cognitive and psychomotor competence

Abstract

This study aimed at bolstering students' scientific literacy in biotechnology through the implementation of Experiment-Based Learning and Creativity Worksheets (LKPD). Utilizing a classroom action research framework, the investigation was conducted over two cycles, incorporating planning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection phases. It involved 30 students and used observational sheets for monitoring teacher and student activities, along with multiple-choice and essay questions to assess students' scientific literacy. The findings revealed a notable enhancement in both teaching methods and student learning outcomes, facilitated by the LKPD usage. Specifically, teacher performance improved from achieving 80% of the set criteria in the first cycle to 90% in the second, upgrading their rating from 'Good' to 'Very Good'. This improvement was paralleled by a rise in students' average scores from 85.33 to 90.58, indicating a heightened engagement with and comprehension of biotechnological principles. The employment of LKPDs proved critical not just for expanding knowledge but for the practical application of scientific concepts, as demonstrated by an average literacy score of 88. Furthermore, an uplift in the average scientific literacy score from 76.59 in the first cycle to 84.89 in the second emphasizes the significance of LKPDs in enhancing students' grasp of scientific theories. Overall, the interventions across the cycles successfully elevated the caliber of teaching, enriched the student learning experience, and significantly improved science literacy, thus contributing to an enhancement in educational quality

Abstract

The synergy between educational philosophical streams and the thoughts of Ki Hajar Dewantara is crucial in developing the concept of the "Merdeka Belajar" curriculum in Indonesia. This literature study aims to explore the fusion between relevant educational philosophical streams with the vision and principles advocated by Ki Hajar Dewantara in the context of developing the "Merdeka Belajar" Curriculum. The method used is descriptive analysis through a literature review drawn from relevant and credible academic texts to trace Ki Hajar Dewantara's thoughts and comprehend the fundamental concepts of educational philosophy underlying it. The findings from this analysis indicate that the synergy between educational philosophy and Ki Hajar Dewantara's thoughts within the "Merdeka Belajar" Curriculum holds immense potential in transforming Indonesia's educational system. By integrating philosophical principles and embracing Ki Hajar Dewantara's ideas, educators can create a curriculum that nurtures individuals with broad perspectives equipped with the skills and values necessary for thriving in the 21st century. The integration of these values in the "Merdeka Belajar" Curriculum can foster an inclusive, progressive learning environment oriented towards character development and individual potential. The application of synergy between educational philosophical streams and Ki Hajar Dewantara's thoughts in the "Merdeka Belajar" Curriculum can reinforce the essence of holistic and continuous education. Recommendations include the necessity of developing concrete strategies to integrate educational philosophical values with Ki Hajar Dewantara's principles in every aspect of the curriculum, providing training for educators to implement this approach, and conducting further research to evaluate the effectiveness of the "Merdeka Belajar" Curriculum implementation inspired by this synergy

Abstract

The Baliem Valley in Papua, Indonesia, presents unique socio-cultural and educational challenges. Predominantly influenced by its diverse ethnic compositions and traditional practices, the region faces significant educational disparities, especially between its rural and urban areas. This study aims to develop an integrated educational model that respects and incorporates local cultural values, thereby enhancing the educational framework and outcomes for the Baliem Valley's populace. Methodologically, this research employs a literature review and content analysis approach, analyzing existing studies and data regarding socio-cultural dynamics and educational challenges in the region. The sources span scholarly articles, government reports, and credible online databases, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the context. The findings reveal a critical gap in educational resources, with rural areas particularly disadvantaged regarding infrastructure, teacher availability, and access to educational materials. Economically, a high percentage of families below the poverty line further exacerbates educational access and quality, resulting in high dropout rates. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of cultural relevance in education, suggesting that integrating indigenous languages and local knowledge into the curriculum significantly enhances student engagement and learning outcomes. Based on these insights, the study recommends several strategies to improve education in the Baliem Valley: (1) developing curricula that reflect local cultures and languages, (2) enhancing teacher training to foster an understanding and appreciation of local traditions, and (3) increasing community involvement in the educational process to ensure that educational reforms are culturally congruent and locally supported. Conclusively, this research emphasizes the necessity of a culturally integrated educational model that not only addresses infrastructural and economic challenges but also respects and preserves the rich cultural heritage of the Baliem Valley. Implementing such a model could substantially improve educational outcomes and support sustainable development in the region.
