Abstract

This research aims to describe the teacher's explanation in constructing the meaning of learning containing the living environment in Indonesia. This research uses descriptive explanatory method. The research was conducted by observing and analyzing classroom learning discourse in elementary schools labeled Adiwiyata or school whose learning is related to the living environment education. The results of the study show that the teacher's explanation contains an explanation of the object, concepts, and procedures; the explanatory strategy used by the teacher is a knowledge-transforming with a reference to the social and cultural context of the society that consists of (1) religiosity (2) dependence between humans and the environment, (3) human values to preserve nature, (4) social and cultural ethics as basic human characteristics. Verbal or linguistic strategies show the teacher's awareness in using language with metaphors and expressions to motivate. Through a verbal strategy it is known that the teacher's explanation is done efferently and aesthetically. The teacher's explanation constructs the meaning of descriptive and procedural knowledge. Descriptive knowledge is knowledge that makes the learner knows or understands. Procedural knowledge makes the learner is able to. The role of teacher explanation is supported by the government's active role in environmental sustainability programs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of metacognitive awareness among high school students in using the Inquiry learning model with the help of the Pictorial Riddle. This study used a quasiexperimental study involving students of class XI IPA as an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group applied the Inquiry learning model assisted by the Pictorial Riddle, while the control group applied the STAD learning model with information discussion by forming a small group. Kolmogorov Smirnov's one-sample test and homogeneity were used to select the experimental group and the control group. In this study the measurement of students' metacognitive awareness used the MAI (Metacognitive Awareness Inventory) questionnaire. The number of questions consists of 37 items, of which the questions are divided into three factors which are included in the knowledge of awareness, and five other factors related to the regulation of awareness. The data on the value of metacognition awareness used to measure student’s metacognition awareness were obtained from the MAI questionnaire given to students, both the experimental class and the control class before and after the study, the data obtained were analyzed using the ANAKOVA test, the result show that the model is corrected for the score after MAI treatment, the probability value is 0,000 which is smaller than 0.05 (p = 0,000 <0.05), which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted and there is a significant effect on the Pictorial Riddle-assisted Inquiry learning model on student metacognition.

The rise of nausea and demands in the student body is the basis for the solvency of the student body by forming the competence outside the school's learning materials. This learning application certainly leads to the creation of its superior generation with its distinctive interest traits affecting the profession. By using qualitative research methods and using a descriptive approach capable of describing online learning containers capable of increasing students' external potential. Thus, E-BASEKOLAH becomes one of the solutions that provides the potential to match students' interests. This alternative solution is a generation that able to create self-employment after the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Student worksheet science based on process image is a printed material that presents a series of images of objects (objects, events, or phenomena), the images in the series between each other always appear to be relatively different in terms (state, position, shape, Combinations) which as a whole illustrate a coherent stage of events in a unified whole. A student worksheet is able to facilitate students in reviewing the material independently, so that materialised learning the science of student centred learning. The purpose of this study is to examine the use of student worksheet based on the image of light concept process for practical and effective junior high school student learning. This research design uses one group pretest-posttest design. The result of the research shows that learning activity is increasing up to reach 83,18%, and respondent gives a positive response with 'good' criterion. N-gain increased understanding of the concept of light by 0.628 on moderate criteria and supported with retention of 99.6%. The use of student worksheets based on the image of light concept process is practical and effective for improving students' understanding, as well as knowledge can be stored for longer in student memory.

Abstract

Current technological developments have influenced the field of education in both individuals and groups. Technological advances alone can support science thought processes in students. Likewise the teacher, it is recommended to be more innovative in the application of technology in learning science. The purpose of this study is the influence of the use of google form assisted video media on improving junior high school student learning outcomes. This type of research is experimental research with Post-test Only Design design. The selection of samples from 9 classes is done by drawing homogeneity tests. Data analysis techniques used in this study are statistical analysis techniques in the form of normality tests and hypothesis testing (t-test). Based on the results of the t-test analysis conducted where Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) learning outcomes are 0.027 and Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) retention of learning outcomes is 0.012 so it produces a value of less than 0.05 where it answers the hypothesis if there is a significant effect on learning outcomes and retention of student learning outcomes in Solar System learning using video forms assisted by Google forms. This study concludes that the Google form-assisted video media has a significant influence on student learning outcomes and retention of student learning outcomes, while also increasing student activity in learning science.
