Abstract

In the current era of social media utilisation, User Generated Content (UGC) has become a pivotal factor in influencing consumer behaviour, particularly with regard to purchase intention. The present study investigates the influence of UGC on purchase intention in the family segment, with a specific focus on mothers as primary household decision-makers. Utilising a quantitative approach with 152 respondents fitting the family demographic, the study applies Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine the relationships among UGC, perceived usefulness, perceived trust, and purchase intention. The findings indicate that UGC exerts a substantial influence on both perceived usefulness and perceived trust. However, it is important to note that only perceived trust has a direct and mediating effect on purchase intention. Conversely, perceived usefulness, though positively influenced by UGC, does not significantly drive purchase decisions. Furthermore, UGC exerts a direct influence on purchase intention, thereby underscoring its persuasive power that extends beyond the realm of functional value. The findings of this study emphasise the pivotal role of trust in influencing purchasing decisions among family consumers, thereby underscoring its considerable potential impact on consumer behaviour. Consequently, marketing strategies should concentrate on generating credible, honest, and experience-based UGC to effectively target this segment.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the perceptions of students from outside the area at Udinus towards traditional food in the city of Semarang, as well as the factors that influence their perceptions. This research uses mixed methods where the results obtained are based on observations, interviews and questionnaires. This research was conducted on 87 students from outside the region at Dian Nuswantoro University who were selected purposively based on certain criteria. Research data was collected using interview guidelines, questionnaires prepared based on the problem formulation and research instruments. Research data was analyzed using thematic analysis, namely analysis that identifies, codes, and interprets themes that emerge from the data. The results of the research show that the perceptions of students outside the Udinus area towards traditional Semarang city cuisine vary, ranging from strongly agree, agree, disagree and disagree. There are several factors that can influence their perceptions, namely their cultural and culinary background, experience and frequency of consuming traditional Semarang city cuisine, knowledge and information about the cuisine, as well as social factors, such as friends, family and the media. Their perceptions also have an impact on their behavior in choosing and consuming traditional Semarang city cuisine, as well as their social and cultural integration on the Udinus campus. It is hoped that this research can provide additional input for the development of social sciences, especially in the field of culinary anthropology.

Abstract

PT. Digi Nusa Indonesia, a pseudonym for a State-Owned Enterprise in Indonesia, faces challenges in increasing its market capitalization beyond IDR Rp250 trillion due to macroeconomic challenges like a strong US dollar and high interest rates. With mostly foreign investors, it faces currency risks and relies on conventional hedging instruments, highlighting the need for innovative strategies. Bitcoin adoption offers a promising alternative, as shown by companies like Strategy and Metaplanet that used it to protect against inflation and currency risk, boosting market capitalization. This research analyzes Bitcoin's potential for PT. Digi Nusa Indonesia, regulatory challenges, and recommends the Hybrid Approach combining Lump Sum and Dollar-Cost Averaging, identified via FAHP-TOPSIS analysis. Regulatory reviews cover OJK POJK No. 27/2024 and Ministry of Finance No. 68/PMK.03/2022. The study presents a practical, compliant framework for integrating Bitcoin into corporate strategy, offering a model for firms aiming to enhance valuation and navigate complex regulations through innovative digital asset use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze interpersonal communication barriers caused by language ambiguity and emotional barriers, especially in the context of today's digital communication and social interactions. Semantic ambiguity occurs when a word or sentence has more than one meaning that allows for misinterpretation, while emotional barriers include psychological conditions such as stress, anxiety, and anger that affect how messages are received and interpreted. This research approach uses a qualitative descriptive-analytical method that allows for in-depth exploration of the meaning, dynamics, and factors that influence interpersonal communication. Data analysis was carried out thematically with a hermeneutic approach to understand the relationship of meaning in social and psychological contexts. Semantic Ambiguity Theory by Stephen C. Levinson is the main foundation in understanding the disturbance of meaning in verbal communication, which emphasizes the importance of situational context and shared knowledge between communicators. The results of the study indicate that language ambiguity is increasingly common, especially in the communication of the younger generation who often use informal language, abbreviations, and digital symbols, so that it has the potential to cause conflict when combined with emotional barriers experienced by the recipient of the message. The close relationship between semantic ambiguity and psychological barriers worsens the effectiveness of interpersonal communication, especially in the workplace, education, and social media. Therefore, this study emphasizes the need for an interdisciplinary approach that combines semantic and psychological studies so that communication strategies can be more adaptive, reflective, and humane in dealing with the complexity of contemporary communication

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the response of the Purba Sinomba Village community to the results of the 2024 Presidential Election, with a focus on the socio-political dynamics that occur in rural areas. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations of community political participation. The results of the study indicate that despite political polarization and dissatisfaction with the election results, the community tends to prioritize social harmony by respecting each other's choices, with the role of local figures such as village officials, religious leaders and youth leaders as important mediators in easing tensions. In addition, disinformation circulating through social media worsens the situation, especially due to the low political and digital literacy among rural communities. This study suggests the need to improve political and digital literacy to reduce the negative impact of invalid information, as well as strengthen the role of local figures in maintaining social stability post-election.

Abstract

This research analyzes the implementation of the Blue Economy program in Natuna Regency to improve the welfare of coastal communities and achieve SDGs in 2019-2024. Natuna has abundant marine resources. However, the welfare level of coastal communities is still relatively low. Through a qualitative approach, this research analyzes the Blue Economy program implemented by the government by eradicating IUU fishing, developing Integrated Marine and Fisheries Centers (SKPT) that provide production, processing, and marketing facilities for marine products, including the involvement of coastal communities in decision-making and program implementation. Thus, this research is expected to evaluate Blue Economy programs and provide new insights into how these programs can be optimized to achieve economic, social, and environmental sustainability goals in Natuna and other coastal areas in Indonesia.
