Abstract

A beautiful green environment certainly makes the home environment beautiful. But lush trees and greenery also pose a problem if the litter is left scattered. Banana stem waste also adds to the waste in the environment. In addition to looking dirty, it can also invite the presence of insects, other animals that can be dangerous such as snakes. Residents can use dry leaf waste and banana stem waste into a valuable product. Dried foliage can be turned into compost, while banana stem waste can be processed into delicious chips. So the solution taken is to provide training on how to process environmental waste such as dry leaves, twigs and others into compost. The next training is to make chips from banana stalks. Then provide training on how to choose packaging and create attractive labels. Finally, the training determines the selling price of the product produced. The results of the training are compost products and chips as well as packaging for compost and chips that can be used by themselves or to start entrepreneurship to increase family income. In addition to products, residents' knowledge is increasing about choosing good packaging and how to determine the selling price of products.

Abstract

The issue of determining dual citizenship for children from mixed marriages is still often debated as a matter of human rights and also justice for the parties involved. This research uses normative juridical methods. The results of the analysis show that children from mixed marriages have dual citizenship up to the age of 18 with limited registration mechanisms. Ownership of dual citizenship actually needs to be protected by each country. Indonesia itself recognizes dual citizenship up to the age of 18 years plus an extension of the legal period until the age of 21 years. For the protection of human rights, the author recommends that regular socialization and citizenship services be carried out for children from mixed marriages in a thorough and comprehensive manner.

Abstract

This research focuses on the legal enforcement against members of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) who commit the crime of insubordination. Insubordination, defined as defiance or resistance against superiors, is regulated under Articles 105-109 of the Military Criminal Code (KUHPM). This study examines the judicial process in Military Court III-19 Jayapura, specifically related to cases of soldiers disobeying orders from superiors through violent actions. Using normative and empirical legal research methods, this study aims to illustrate how legal mechanisms are applied in military violation cases, particularly in acts of insubordination. The analysis is based on court rulings where the offenders, low-ranking soldiers, were tried and sentenced according to the KUHPM. The results show that while there is a consistent pattern in sentencing, disparities in punishment remain due to various factors such as the severity of the offense and the discretion allowed within the military judicial system. This study recommends clearer guidelines to minimize differences in sentencing and ensure fairness in military justice.

Abstract

Learning resources are basically used to make it easier for students and teachers to carry out the process of teaching and learning activities. During initial observations at SMAN 3 Pekanbaru, researchers received information from subject teachers that students' understanding of history lessons was still lacking. To make it easier and quickly improve students' understanding of learning, it would be better if learning resources were packaged in a concise form with clear material content and arranged using language that is not too rigid and easy to understand. It is even more practical if the learning resource is not too big and easy to carry, for example a pocket book. This research aims to develop teaching materials as a learning resource based on pocket books as an effort to increase students' understanding of history, especially regarding the Japanese occupation of Indonesia. The development method used is Research and Development (RnD) which involves planning, development and evaluation stages. The main finding of this research is that it shows that pocket book-based teaching materials are effective in increasing students' understanding of material about the Japanese occupation in Indonesia. The implication of the results of this research is that teaching materials are so important to help students improve their understanding of learning materials. The advantage of this pocket book is that it makes it easier for students to study anytime and anywhere. Apart from that, this pocket book-based teaching material also has shortcomings, namely in terms of writing size and color.

Abstract

The United Nations Security Council is a forum created by the United Nations based on the United Nations Charter which contains good and noble goals for the creation of peace and harmony among countries in the international region. The United Nations Security Council with all the specificities given by the United Nations makes this association an international law enforcer for countries that violate international customs and norms. However, not in line with the purpose and function of the establishment of the United Nations Security Council, often the Security Council shows a political-legal attitude that is contrary to its duties and functions, the use of veto privileges that should be used for countries that violate the provisions of international humanitarian law is instead used to exert political emphasis in order to achieve a global domination. Then the question is about the practice of legal provisions applied by  the United Nation Security Council in imposing international sanctions against countries in conflict and the legal responsibility of the UN Security Council against countries that violate the provisions of humanitarian law in armed conflicts. This study aims to find out and observe the provisions of international law applied by  the United Nation Security Council (UNSC) in imposing international sanctions against countries in conflict, as well as to know, study and analyze the responsibility of the UN Security Council in imposing sanctions against countries that violate the provisions of humanitarian law in armed conflicts. Furthermore, this study uses a normative research method with Primary Legal Materials in the form of expert interviews and secondary legal materials in the form of international legal agreements and international regulations. That in terms of practice, the UN Security Council needs to carry out its duties and functions in accordance with the regulations stipulated in the UN Charter and prioritize the principles that are upheld in the midst of the United Nations by always adhering to its legal responsibilities.
