Abstract

SMP Negeri 48 Samarinda is one of the model schools of the Sekolah Penggerak in Samarinda . The school has a routine program which must support the vision and mission of the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile. Based on these values, the school holds activities related to strengthening the field of technology. The school collaborates with the East Kalimantan ICT Volunteer Academy (Artika) to carry out the activities of this program. The activity was carried out with lectures and resource persons from Artika, East Kalimantan. Participants in this activity were students from SMP Negeri 48 Samarinda . This activity aims to provide an understanding of current technological literacy, namely digital technology. This activity, which runs for only one day, is expected to provide additional knowledge to students and is in accordance with the values running in the school program.

Abstract

The use of graphic design in communication is becoming increasingly important in this digital era. Visual communication skills are not only needed in the professional world, but also in everyday life. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve the visual communication skills of MTs Sunan Ampel Jember students through graphic design training using the Canva application. The training was held in three interactive sessions involving students and teachers as participants. The training material includes the basics of graphic design, designing posters and creating attractive presentations using the Canva application. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in the understanding and application of graphic design concepts by participants. Participants are able to create attractive and informative designs for various purposes, both in academic and extracurricular contexts.

Abstract

Computer networks are a form of communication that allows computers to exchange data using computer network protocols. Teaching and learning activities require computer devices to anticipate developments in information technology. This can provide positive or even negative developments for students. Understanding this need requires maintaining the quality of the content and protection against negative things. Information technology development is needed to be implemented in the junior high school level environment, namely opening up the information era by providing a positive understanding of information technology. Computer network training for junior high school students in Mataram City reflects a response to increasingly rapid technological developments, which require the younger generation to have a good understanding of computer networks and information technology in general. This training will also raise awareness of the importance of digital literacy from an early age. By holding this training, it is hoped that students can gain basic skills that are important to face future challenges, as well as encourage their interest in the field of technology. The training activities that have been carried out run smoothly and the enthusiasm of the participants can be seen.

Abstract

In Indonesia, general elections are a fundamental democratic process to elect leaders, both the President and Regional Heads, such as Governors, Mayors, and Regents. The selection of suitable and qualified leaders determines the success of a nation, state, and region in welcoming Golden Indonesia 2045. This community service program aims to provide healthy and responsible election education to permanent voters registered and verified by the KPU, especially novice voters with the right to vote. This community service proposes the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with SPIRE (Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relationship, and Emotional) criteria as an effective tool for selecting suitable and ideal leadership candidates, both President and Regional Head, among novice voters in grades XI and XII SMA. AHP-SPIRE is a multi-criteria method that allows structured and measurable decision-making based on consideration of various important factors for presidential, Governor, Regent, or Mayor candidates. Ultimately, novice voters, especially students in grades XI and XII, have better decision-making techniques based on the expected criteria.

Abstract

The development of information technology has changed the paradigm of obtaining information and communicating, making online presence essential for business success, especially for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Google My Business (GMB) is a digital platform that increases the online visibility of business owners. Kedai Nyihah, a recipient of the Student Entrepreneurship Program (PMW), faced obstacles in utilizing digital technology due to limited knowledge and resources. This research uses intensive training methods to create and manage GMB profiles, strategies for responding to customer reviews, and utilization of additional features. The results of the training showed an increased understanding of Kedai Nyihah owners in managing GMB, including profile creation, image addition, and interaction with consumers. The training helped Kedai Nyihah increase its digital presence, attract more customers, and strengthen its position in the market. The GMB optimization training was effective in increasing Kedai Nyihah's visibility and sales, setting an important example for other SMEs regarding the adoption of digital technology to compete in the digital age.

Abstract

Phishing attacks are among the most common and damaging cybersecurity threats, exploiting human vulnerabilities such as a lack of awareness and digital literacy. This study aims to identify effective strategies for increasing awareness of phishing attacks through digital literacy among teenagers. The research was conducted at SMK Darussalam Makassar using a descriptive quantitative method and involved 227 respondents. The findings indicate that 80% of respondents agree that digital literacy plays a significant role in reducing the impact of phishing. Digital literacy, which includes understanding technology, identifying threats, and taking protective measures, has proven effective in protecting students from phishing attacks. Based on the Protection Motivation Theory (PMT), awareness of phishing threats and the effectiveness of protective actions increase students' motivation to protect themselves. This study recommends the development of sustainable digital literacy programs, policies to reduce unnecessary internet usage, and the blocking of access to harmful websites. By improving digital literacy, the community, especially teenagers, will be better prepared to face cyber threats and safeguard their personal information.

Abstract

The graphic design mentoring program using Canva for class X of SMKN 1 Kramatwatu Banten has 149 participants from all majors. It aims to improve students' abilities in the field of graphic design. Through this training, students are expected to be able to utilize digital technology to produce creative and innovative works that are relevant to current industry needs. The method used in this program is lectures that provide material directly to partners by resource persons. This program also involves direct practice sessions guided by experienced instructors to ensure a deep understanding of the design features and techniques in Canva. Based on the results of the activities, this training and mentoring are known to be effective in improving participants' graphic design skills. This is evidenced by the results of the pre-and post-test questionnaires for the activities to determine the results of the Community Service that has been carried out. The results of this mentoring program show a significant increase in students' abilities to create attractive and professional graphic designs. In addition, students also showed an increase in creativity and confidence in expressing their ideas through visual media. Overall, this mentoring has succeeded in improving students' competence in graphic design and preparing them to face challenges in an increasingly competitive world of work.

Abstract

This workshop was held at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in the Luwu Regency area with the main aim of improving teachers' skills in using digital media in learning to support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. In this workshop, teachers are given practical skills and innovative pedagogical strategies to utilize technology in the learning process. It is hoped that teachers will be more creative and effective in teaching to increase their students' motivation and learning achievement. This activity is carried out through three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. This activity was carried out with the District Ministry of Religion Office. Luwu, Head of Madrasah MIN 1, MIN 2, MIN 3 and MIN 4 District Luwu accompanying speakers implemented the community-based independent curriculum from lecturers. The material provided is differentiated learning design in the independent curriculum and the use of digital media in learning. The evaluation results indicate that, in general, the implementation of the activities has proceeded according to the plan. This conclusion is based on the assessment of various aspects, including the content, presentation methods, relevance of the material to the needs of teachers, and the impact on participants' understanding of the application of digital media, with an average aspect score of 82.8%.. This activity also recommends carrying out similar activities regularly, adding more specific material related to the independent curriculum such as creating teaching modules and differentiated learning design. Teachers need assistance in creating digital media that is directly put into practice for the next workshop.

Abstract

The use of social media in society is a common thing nowadays, regardless of profession, position, rich or poor, but social media has become a supplement in daily activities, with the development of information and communication technology (ICT) in people's lives today, making society now unable to resist, let alone avoid, its development and of course positive and negative problems will arise and create awareness for society, so there is a need for education and strengthening understanding of literacy for the public so they don't get trapped in cyberspace, therefore it is very important to understand literacy. Digital in Society: Ethical, Safe and Comfortable Use of Social Media. The aim of the service is oriented towards understanding digital literacy activities among the community, so that these activities provide education to the community regarding the importance of understanding digital literacy in the ethical use of social media and the impact of using social media in life in today's digital era with efforts to strengthen and educate digital literacy and raising awareness about good understanding of Netiquette, with activity stages from preparation, survey, determination, activities and reporting providing steps and efforts in organizing Digital Literacy assistance activities in community life in general with an ethical or netiquette orientation towards the community in the use of digital media.

Abstract

This community service activity is focused on the implementation of education and training on high-flow electrical installations by utilizing lecture and discussion methods. This training is organized systematically to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the technical and safety aspects of overhead electrical installations. The overhead electrical installation is one of the important components in the railway system. This activity aims to improve basic understanding of railway orientation, especially related to overhead electrical installations. This activity was carried out online through the zoom application on May 21, 2024 and was attended by participants from the Balai Teknik Perkeretaapian Kelas II Palembang. Participants showed high enthusiasm during the training. This can be seen from the participants' activeness in discussion and question and answer sessions. The tangible results of this community service activity show an increase in participants' understanding of overhead electrical installations which is reflected in the post-training evaluation. The knowledge gained during this activity is expected to be applied in daily work activities in each participant's duty area to support improved performance and operational safety in the railway sector.
