Abstract

This study aims to determine how social media is utilized Facebookas a digital promotional tool at UD. Tahu Murni in Gunungsitoli City, and to identify factors that hinder the effectiveness of such promotions in increasing sales. The background of this study is the increasingly rapid development of information technology that encourages micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to utilize digital media as a more efficient promotional strategy and reach a wider market. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of business owners and several consumers. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis methods. The results of the study indicate that the use of Facebook as a promotional medium by UD. Tahu Murni has not been optimally implemented. The promotional content uploaded is still simple, inconsistent, and has not utilized strategic features such as paid advertising (Facebook Ads), customer interaction, and social media analytics. The main inhibiting factors in optimizing promotions through Facebook are the business owner's limited digital knowledge, limited time, and the lack of a workforce focused on digital marketing. This study recommends that business actors improve their understanding and skills in social media management, utilize digital promotional features optimally, and develop attractive and consistent content strategies to reach more consumers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Procedural Justice on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) through Perceived Organizational Support (POS) among hotel employees in Makassar City. The research is motivated by the declining extra-role behaviors of employees, which affect service quality, allegedly driven by perceived procedural injustice and low organizational support. Using a quantitative approach and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were collected through questionnaires from employees of three- to five-star hotels. The results reveal that Procedural Justice has a positive and significant effect on both POS and OCB, directly and indirectly. Moreover, POS functions as both a mediator and a moderator, strengthening the relationship between procedural justice and OCB. The R² and Q² values indicate a high explanatory and predictive relevance, while the Goodness of Fit Index confirms the empirical adequacy of the model. These findings support the Social Exchange Theory (Blau, 1964) and Organizational Support Theory (Eisenberger et al., 1986), asserting that fairness and organizational support foster reciprocal relationships that motivate employees to engage in voluntary, extra-role behaviors. This study contributes theoretically by extending the application of social exchange theory within the hospitality context and provides practical implications for hotel management to enhance procedural justice and organizational support as strategies to improve employees’ organizational citizenship behaviour.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy on financial behavior and financial management in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pasar Village, Gunungsitoli District. The background of the study indicates that MSMEs have a crucial role in the Indonesian economy, but many MSMEs still face challenges in financial management due to a lack of financial literacy. This study used a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 158 MSMEs in the area. The results of the analysis indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant influence on both financial behavior and financial management of MSMEs. MSMEs with higher levels of financial literacy tend to exhibit healthier financial behaviors, such as the ability to manage expenses, create budgets, and save. Similarly, good financial literacy significantly improves MSMEs' abilities in planning, recording, reporting, and evaluating business finances. Multivariate analysis confirmed that financial literacy simultaneously significantly influences both aspects. The high coefficient of determination (80.7% for financial behavior and 83.7% for financial management) indicates that financial literacy is a dominant factor in explaining variation in both dependent variables.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of competence, reward systems, and training on the performance of executive officers in Sharia Rural Banks (BPRS), with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The primary focus is to assess the extent to which these factors influence executive performance within the context of Islamic microfinance institutions. Employing a quantitative, explanatory design, primary data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using structural equation modeling–partial least squares (SEM–PLS) with SmartPLS. The study population consists of executive officers of BPRS in Indonesia. Using purposive sampling, 121 responses were obtained from multiple BPRS across several regions. The results show that (1) competence has a positive effect on performance; (2) job satisfaction positively affects performance; (3) the reward system influences performance primarily through job satisfaction (partial/competitive mediation), while its direct effect on performance tends to be negative; and (4) training does not exhibit a significant effect on performance, and its indirect path via job satisfaction is not significant. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening competence and redesigning reward systems in alignment with executive expectations to enhance job satisfaction and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze trends, developments, and directions of scientific research related to decentralization and performance evaluation between 2015 and 2025. Using a bibliometric approach and data from the Scopus database, this study evaluates scientific publications based on the number of documents, country contributions, institutional affiliations, keywords, and collaborative networks between authors. The analysis shows that the number of publications fluctuates, with a significant spike in 2024. China is the country with the highest contribution to publications, while contributions from Indonesia remain very minimal. In terms of affiliations, Chinese universities dominate scientific production in this field. Network visualization shows that collaboration between researchers remains low and fragmented. The most dominant keywords are decentralization, blockchain, and performance evaluation, which form several research clusters that show links to financial management and public policy topics. These findings indicate the need to increase the involvement of Indonesian researchers and strengthen global collaborative networks on the topic of decentralization and performance evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the production process in increasing the production capacity of red bricks at UD. Alwin, located in Hilinaa Village, Gunungsitoli District. The focus of the study is directed at the production stages starting from clay processing, molding, drying, to firing, as well as improvement efforts made to increase production capacity. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the production process implemented by UD. Alwin is still dominated by the use of manual tools and traditional methods. This has an impact on limited production capacity and high dependence on weather conditions, especially in the drying stage. The main obstacles faced are weather factors, limited labor, and minimal modernization of production equipment. However, the synergy between the owner and employees in identifying problems and formulating solutions is a major strength in maintaining business continuity. Overall, improvements in the production process have been proven to have a positive impact on increasing production capacity, although not optimal. Thus, this study concludes that the increase in red brick capacity at UD. Alwin is greatly influenced by the effectiveness of production process management. The recommendations given are the need for innovation in the use of appropriate technology, improving workforce skills, and more efficient work time management to support business desires and competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze human resource (HR) management planning, identify obstacles, and formulate efforts to support the digitalization of school management. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation techniques with the principal, vice principal, teachers, and administrative staff. The results showed that HR planning at SMK Negeri 2 Gunungsitoli was carried out through three main steps: (1) needs analysis and preparation of technology-based teacher formation, (2) competency mapping and identification of information and communication technology (ICT) training needs, and (3) empowerment of teachers and staff through workshops, mentoring, and discussion forums. Obstacles faced included limited digital literacy among teachers and staff, unequal network access, and resistance to changes in technology-based learning methods. Efforts made by the school included providing digital literacy training, optimizing available devices and networks, utilizing offline learning applications, and creating a work culture that is adaptive to innovation. This study concluded that targeted HR planning, infrastructure support, and continuous competency development are important factors in realizing effective digital transformation in schools. These findings are expected to be useful for SMK Negeri 2 Gunungsitoli, other educational institutions, and further researchers in developing digitalization strategies for school management.
