Abstract

This research explores the impact of customer experience and engagement on the continued intention to use the service, highlighting the mediating role of customer satisfaction. The study was conducted among users of Chatbot Sabrina at Bank BRI Regional Office Padang, employing a quantitative approach with a survey of 210 respondents and analysis using structural equation modelling. Results show that both customer experience and engagement significantly enhance satisfaction, which subsequently drives the ongoing intention to use the chatbot. Customer satisfaction also mediates the relationship between experience, engagement, and continued use intention. Adopting the Service-Dominant Logic perspective, this research underscores the importance of value co-creation through customer-chatbot interaction as a critical source of competitive advantage. The findings emphasise the need for strategies focused on experience and engagement to boost satisfaction and loyalty among chatbot users, providing practical insights for financial institutions implementing this technology.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Village Development Planning Meeting (MusrenbangDesa) as an instrument of participatory democracy in Tamansari Village, Wonorejo District, Pasuruan Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies with various village stakeholders. The results indicate that although the Musrenbang has been implemented according to procedure, community participation in the planning process still faces various structural and cultural obstacles, such as low human resource (HR) capacity, a strong patron-client culture, and the dominance of local elites in the decision-making process. Participation tends to be symbolic and formal, and does not fully represent community aspirations. MusrenbangDesa has the potential to be an inclusive democratic forum, but it needs to strengthen the capacity of organisers, effective socialisation, and better transparency and accountability mechanisms. These findings have implications for strengthening village development governance to be more participatory and responsive to community needs.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Marriage Management Information System (SIMKAH) in delivering digital marriage card services at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in Tanggetada District. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The research was conducted at the KUA office and involved key informants such as the Head of KUA, SIMKAH operator, administrative staff, other KUA personnel, and members of the local community. Both primary and secondary data sources were used in this research. The findings indicate that the use of SIMKAH for digital marriage card services in Tanggetada District has not yet reached optimal effectiveness. Several issues were identified, including delays in issuing the digital marriage cards, limited access to the system among the public, and a lack of public understanding of how SIMKAH works. These challenges are particularly evident among individuals who are unfamiliar with digital technology or have not received sufficient information about the system.

Abstract

This study explores laundry business development strategies through a comprehensive and innovative approach at JM Laundry in Payakumbuh City. Qualitative methods were used to identify the business environment through a SWOT matrix, design innovative value through the blue ocean strategy, and visualise the strategy through business model canvas mapping. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with the owner, employees, and customers of JM Laundry. Data analysis was performed using triangulation techniques—data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that identifying the business environment, creating innovative value, and modelling the current business facilitate JM Laundry in describing a strategic business model through the design of a new, applicable business model canvas. JM Laundry can optimize its reach into the dormitory, hotel, and apartment segments; utilize nanotechnology washing machines that can recycle used washing water; leverage AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things) technologies; utilize subscription-based services; optimize the use of specialized applications; and offer additional services such as Laundry Plus Cafe, which provides a promising point of differentiation. The practical implications provide the laundry business with an innovative and sustainable business strategy model, thereby enhancing its competitiveness in the future.

Abstract

The MBG program is part of the national strategy to address malnutrition and stunting among school-aged children. This study aims to analyse the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) policy at Kuntum Insan Cemerlang Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT KIC) in Bondowoso. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using Edward’s policy implementation theory, which includes three dimensions: planning, implementation, and monitoring. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, utilising source triangulation to ensure data validity. The findings reveal that the planning stage was conducted through effective coordination between the Nutritional Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) and the school, covering target setting, food distribution logistics, and identification of student needs. At the implementation stage, the program has operated relatively effectively, positively influencing student attendance and the cultivation of healthy habits. However, technical constraints such as limited transport capacity and food distribution schedules that are not fully aligned with the school timetable pose ongoing challenges. In terms of monitoring, while both field inspections and online evaluations are conducted, the effectiveness of oversight remains limited due to budgetary constraints and institutional capacity. This study recommends strengthening local governance mechanisms, enhancing human resource capacity, and optimising the monitoring system to ensure the sustainability and improved impact of the MBG program for students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the Strategy of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Surabaya City in Preventing Violations of the Code of Ethics. Based on field observations regarding the leader's strategy in preventing violations of the code of ethics, it still experiences problems. This type of research uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques through documentation, observation, and interviews. The determination of this research informant through purposive sampling consists of the Head of the Violation Prevention Division, who is responsible for preventing violations of the code of ethics. This study uses data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of results. In this study also used two types of data sources, namely primary and secondary data. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study prove that the leader's strategy in preventing violations of the code of ethics has not been running as expected. In addition, violations were also committed by the Surabaya City Election Supervisory Agency in following up on existing violations. This is the main factor inhibiting the success of the Surabaya City Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Strategy in Preventing Violations of the Code of Ethics.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyse the phenomenon of religious commodification from the perspective of economic sociology, focusing on the case of Hajj Furoda as a form of commercialised worship practice. Religious commodification refers to the process by which religious symbols and rituals—including the pilgrimage to Mecca—are treated as marketable commodities within a capitalist system. A qualitative descriptive method was employed through literature review, drawing on various sources such as academic journals, books, government regulations, and media reports related to the implementation and controversy surrounding Hajj Furoda in Indonesia. The findings reveal that Hajj Furoda reflects a shift in the meaning of pilgrimage, from a spiritual obligation to a premium product within the religious industry. This phenomenon generates ambivalence in society: on the one hand, it is seen as a practical solution for fulfilling the fifth pillar of Islam more quickly; on the other hand, it raises concerns about unequal access, the commercialisation of religious teachings, and potential regulatory violations. From the perspective of economic sociology, the Hajj Furoda case illustrates a complex relationship between religion, the market, and the state—where spirituality is increasingly shaped by the logic of profit and social status. This study underscores the importance of ethical scrutiny and regulatory oversight of religious practices that have been absorbed into capitalist systems.

Abstract

This study examines the expansion strategy and preparations for the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of CV Khawla Atelier through a comprehensive approach. Qualitative methods were used to analyze macro-level external factors through PESTEL analysis, identify the business environment through a SWOT Matrix, identify product-market growth opportunities through the Ansoff Matrix approach, and assess IPO readiness through an examination of financial, legal, and governance aspects, as well as corporate structure. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with the CEO, Production Manager, Finance Manager (internal), the Cooperative and SME Office of Payakumbuh City, and customers (external). Data analysis utilised triangulation techniques—data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings emphasise that an in-depth analysis of macro-level external factors, a comprehensive identification of the business environment and product-market growth potential, and an assessment of the current IPO readiness level provide CV Khawla Atelier with a better understanding of how to develop effective expansion strategies and prepare for an IPO more effectively. CV Khawla Atelier needs to optimize the drafting of formal employment contracts and wage structures, implement an inventory management system, optimize digital-based promotion and sales, add casual fashion models while maintaining ethnic and traditional elements for young people, patent its works through intellectual property registration, and improve production management and corporate management to accelerate the company's transformation into a legal entity (PT) as a prerequisite for conducting an IPO. Effective business strategies offer opportunities for the fashion business to grow and gain a competitive edge in the future.

Abstract

This research examines the monitoring and capacity-building efforts conducted by the UNODC under the GLO.ACT program to address human trafficking in Afghanistan from 2018 to 2024. Human trafficking in Afghanistan is a matter of international concern due to the high level of vulnerability caused by conflict, poverty, and weak legal protection systems. This research is based on an analysis of the implementation of the GLO.ACT program in Afghanistan, using a conceptual framework on human trafficking and the theory of International Organisation Implementation with a qualitative approach through a literature review. The findings indicate that the UNODC implemented the GLO.ACT program in Afghanistan through a management approach, which included periodic monitoring and evaluations of the program’s progress. Additionally, capacity-building initiatives were undertaken to enhance the effectiveness of anti-trafficking measures. However, significant challenges, such as political instability and resource constraints, hinder the program’s overall effectiveness. This research highlights the importance of collaboration between international organisations and relevant countries to ensure the program’s sustainability and strengthen efforts to combat human trafficking.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of administrative order in improving public service quality at the Nambo Village Office, Nambo District, Kendari City. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study's results show that, although the Nambo Village Office has made efforts to implement administrative orders through a structured system, staff training, and the use of technology in data management, several challenges still affect public service quality. These challenges include complex procedures, long processing times, limited human resources, and a lack of transparency in budget management. On the other hand, the quality of public service at the Nambo Village Office is generally good, with adequate facilities, reliable service, and a commitment from the office to provide fast, efficient, and transparent services. However, there are issues with inconsistent staff responsiveness, limited facilities, and technical challenges that affect the public's comfort. Therefore, this study recommends improvements in efficiency, transparency, and the enhancement of professionalism and responsiveness of staff to improve the quality of public service at the Nambo Village Office.
