Abstract

The rising popularity of sports in Indonesia contributed to rapid advancement in the domestic sportswear sector, leading to heightened market competitiveness. Brands need to utilize successful digital marketing strategies, including influencer marketing, to maintain competitiveness in this dynamic environment. This study seeks to examine the impact of influencer marketing on consumer purchase intention for local sportswear products, with brand awareness serving as a mediating variable. The study utilized a quantitative methodology using a cross-sectional survey with 200 participants selected via purposive and snowball sampling methods, focusing on individuals familiar with local sportswear brands involved in influencer collaborations. Data were analyzed utilizing SPSS and SmartPLS. The findings demonstrate that influencer marketing significantly enhances brand awareness (0.680) and exerts a notable direct influence on purchase intention (0.378). Moreover, brand awareness substantially affects the correlation between influencer marketing and purchase intention (0.365), indicating that influencers stimulate transactional desire by initially fostering brand familiarity. The structural model exhibits substantial explanatory power, explaining 70.7% of the variance in purchase intention. For local enterprises, these findings indicate that choosing trustworthy and relevant influencers is crucial for cultivating genuine relationships and augmenting consumer trust. In conclusion, the study indicates that cultivating brand awareness is an essential approach for effective influencer marketing. Future research could investigate further mediating variables, such as content quality or customer demographics, to yield more profound insights into the determinants of local sportswear consumption.

Abstract

Roblox has emerged as one of the most influential user-generated digital ecosystems, in which multimodal resources visual design, spatial organization, avatar customization, interface affordances, and linguistic interaction play a central role in the construction of identity and the negotiation of power. This study examines how power relations and identity positions are discursively produced across three highly popular Roblox user-generated worlds: Brookhaven RP, Adopt Me, and Bloxburg. Drawing on Multimodal Critical Discourse Analysis (MCDA), informed by social semiotics and critical discourse theory, the study analyzes screenshots, spatial configurations, and in-game chat interactions to uncover ideological meanings embedded in these environments. The findings demonstrate that hierarchical relations are reproduced through spatial zoning, access restrictions, monetized affordances, and avatar aesthetics that index wealth, status, and social legitimacy. Linguistic interactions further reinforce symbolic domination through gatekeeping, commands, and exclusionary practices. Collectively, these multimodal resources construct narratives of consumerism, meritocracy, and social stratification that shape how young users understand agency, belonging, and value in digital spaces. This article contributes to English Studies by conceptualizing Roblox worlds as multimodal texts requiring critical literacy, and to Information Technology by foregrounding how platform affordances structure discourse production and social relations.

Abstract

Marketing communication is a form of communication aimed at introducing, establishing, and creating interactions between companies and their business partners and consumers. This study aims to analyze the implementation of marketing communications carried out by the Commercial and Business Development Division at the Employee Cooperative of PT. Len Industri based on the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) approach. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, where data is obtained through direct observation and interviews with relevant parties, as well as a review of supporting documents in the form of digital marketing content and business activity reports. The results of the study show that marketing communication activities are carried out through the integrated use of digital and conventional media, including the use of social media, direct delivery of information to cooperative members, and the use of promotional media placed within the company environment. The success of these marketing communication activities is supported by the availability of various internal communication channels, the proximity of the communication targets, the majority of whom are employees of PT. Len Industri, and the existence of business units that continuously generate promotional activities.  However, obstacles were also found, such as limited content production tools, a lack of resources focused on marketing, and a lack of consistency in messaging across communication channels.

Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) serves as a vital instrument for assessing regional progress by integrating health, education, and living standards. As a strategic buffer zone for Indonesia’s future capital, Tabalong Regency’s pursuit of enhanced human development is of particular importance. This study analyzes the longitudinal evolution of Tabalong’s HDI from 2010 to 2024, quantifies the relative contributions of its core components, and proposes evidence-based policy interventions. Employing a quantitative approach with time-series and cross-sectional data from official statistics, the analysis employs multiple linear regression and t-tests. The findings indicate that Tabalong maintains the third-highest HDI in South Kalimantan, driven overwhelmingly by per capita expenditure (99.6% contribution), with education indicators as secondary contributors, while life expectancy exhibits a markedly weaker influence. Statistical tests confirm significant differences in all component means between regencies with medium and high HDI. The discussion contextualizes these results within contemporary scholarship on regional development and inequality. The study concludes by advocating for an integrated policy framework emphasizing strengthened community health services, equitable and quality education, environmentally conscious pedagogy, and economic diversification through agricultural productivity, MSME empowerment, and sustainable tourism. These measures are essential for fostering inclusive and resilient human development in alignment with national strategic planning.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of smart tourism technology has significantly transformed tourist–destination interactions, particularly in urban heritage destinations seeking to enhance service quality and competitiveness. Despite growing adoption, empirical evidence explaining how smart tourism technology influences tourist satisfaction, considering individual capabilities, remains limited. This study aims to examine the effect of smart tourism technology on tourist satisfaction, with tourist experience as a mediating variable and digital literacy as a moderating variable. The research was conducted in Malioboro, Yogyakarta, one of Indonesia’s most iconic urban heritage destinations that has implemented various smart tourism initiatives, including digital information systems, cashless payment services, and smart mobility solutions. Using a quantitative research approach, data were collected from 250 domestic and international tourists through structured questionnaires. Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was employed to test the proposed relationships among variables. The findings reveal that smart tourism technology has a significant positive effect on tourist satisfaction. Tourist experience is found to partially mediate the relationship between smart tourism technology and tourist satisfaction, indicating that technology enhances satisfaction primarily through enriched experiential value. Furthermore, digital literacy significantly moderates the relationship between smart tourism technology and tourist experience, suggesting that tourists with higher digital competence gain greater experiential benefits from smart tourism services. These results confirm the expected relationships and highlight the importance of aligning technological innovation with user capabilities. Practically, the study provides valuable insights for destination managers and policymakers to strengthen smart tourism strategies by improving both technological infrastructure and digital literacy programs, thereby supporting sustainable destination competitiveness.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the food and beverage sector play a crucial role in the national economy and have shown rapid growth in the digital era (JDIH BPK RI, 2008; Indonesian SMEs, 2023). The widespread use of internet-based delivery services facilitates product distribution but simultaneously increases the consumption of single-use plastic packaging, which poses serious environmental challenges (Databoks, 2021; Waste-free, 2021). Plastic waste constitutes approximately 17% of total national waste (National Waste Management Information System, 2020), highlighting the urgency for innovative and sustainable solutions (Ministry of Environment and Forestry, 2021). This study aims to design environmentally friendly packaging for MSMEs in the food and beverage industry by integrating user needs with sustainability considerations. The research employs a design thinking-based innovation approach that includes stages of problem exploration, concept development, and product testing (Lewrick et al., 2020). The focus is on developing primary packaging solutions for soupy foods and cold beverages distributed through online delivery platforms. The findings reveal that eco-friendly packaging materials can effectively reduce reliance on single-use plastics while maintaining usability and convenience (Fischer et al., 2019). Moreover, the right packaging design not only promotes environmental sustainability but also enhances the competitiveness of MSMEs in the market (Louw & Kimber, 2007). In conclusion, implementing eco-friendly packaging innovations represents a strategic and effective approach to minimizing plastic waste impacts while ensuring the efficient and sustainable distribution of food and beverage products.

Abstract

The internet network configuration at the Akademi Komunitas Negeri Aceh Barat uses MikroTik CCR2116-12G-4S+ router devices with two Internet Service Provider (ISP) connections, implementing the load balancing method Per Connection Classifier (PCC), failover, and time scheduler. MikroTik CCR2116-12G-4S+ is a high-performance Cloud Core Router ideal for multi-ISP load balancing like PCC and failover setups in this research. Its ARM-based architecture eliminates CPU bottlenecks in 10G environments. The PCC method is used to distribute network traffic based on connections consistently to maintain internet access stability. The failover mechanism is implemented through routing settings and gateway checks to ensure service continuity during ISP disruptions. Meanwhile, the time scheduler is used to manage network policies based on operational hours. The study results show that the combination of these methods is highly effective in improving connection stability, bandwidth utilization, and reliability of the multi-ISP network, making it suitable for application in network environments with high internet access demands, such as higher education institutions.
