Abstract

Risk management has become a strategic component of public sector governance, including higher education institutions, to support accountability and effective internal oversight. Nevertheless, many Indonesian higher education institutions still rely on manual and fragmented risk management practices, leading to inconsistent documentation, limited monitoring, and weak risk-based decision making. This study aims to design and develop a web-based integrated risk management information system, namely SMART-RISK, to enhance the effectiveness of internal oversight at Politeknik Negeri Medan. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, which consists of define, design, development, and dissemination stages. Data were collected through a literature review and user perception questionnaires involving 18 institutional work units and analyzed descriptively. The results show that SMART-RISK successfully integrates core risk management processes, including risk identification, assessment, prioritization, monitoring, and reporting within a centralized web-based platform. The system is equipped with a risk dashboard and role-based access control to support data security, accountability, and ease of use. Initial user evaluations indicate positive acceptance of the system’s functionality and interface, suggesting that the system is suitable for institutional risk governance. This study concludes that SMART-RISK has strong potential as a digital solution to support risk-based internal oversight in vocational higher education. Further research is required to implement the system in full operational settings and to empirically assess its impact on risk management maturity and institutional performance.

Abstract

The subsidized housing sector in Indonesia, implemented through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) program, plays a crucial role in improving access to adequate housing for low-income households by offering affordable prices and long-term financing schemes. However, the realization of subsidized housing in Bekasi Regency has declined sharply, from 20,004 units in 2022 to 13,908 units in 2024, representing a decrease of 30.5 percent. This trend indicates a weakening of purchase intention, suggesting that affordability alone is insufficient to sustain demand. This study aims to examine the effects of subsidized housing price, perceived flood risk, infrastructure quality, and building quality on housing purchase intention within the FLPP program in Bekasi Regency. A quantitative explanatory approach was applied using primary data collected through structured questionnaires from 100 respondents consisting of residents and prospective buyers of FLPP housing. Multiple linear regression analysis was employed to assess both partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables. The results indicate that subsidized housing price, infrastructure quality, and building quality have positive and significant effects on housing purchase intention. Conversely, perceived flood risk has a negative and significant effect, indicating that higher flood risk perceptions reduce buyers’ willingness to purchase subsidized housing. These findings suggest that purchase intention is influenced by a comprehensive evaluation of affordability, environmental safety, and physical housing conditions. Therefore, improving flood risk mitigation and infrastructure quality, alongside maintaining affordable prices, is essential for enhancing the sustainability and effectiveness of subsidized housing programs.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of the National Health Insurance (Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional/JKN) program socialization, service accessibility, service quality, and health workforce competence on the utilization of capitation funds at the Mayamuk Public Health Center, Sorong Regency, Indonesia. It also investigates whether health center characteristics, community characteristics, and internal policies moderate these relationships. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey method. The study population comprised JKN outpatient participants within the service coverage area of the Mayamuk Public Health Center. Samples were selected through probability sampling based on predefined inclusion criteria. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the support of SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that JKN program socialization, service quality, and health workforce competence have a positive and statistically significant effect on the utilization of capitation funds. In contrast, service accessibility does not demonstrate a significant effect. Simultaneously, the independent variables collectively exert a significant influence on capitation fund utilization. However, health center characteristics, community characteristics, and internal policies are not found to moderate the relationships between the independent variables and capitation fund utilization. These results indicate that the effectiveness of capitation fund utilization in public health centers is primarily determined by institutional and human resource factors rather than by accessibility or contextual moderating factors. Therefore, policy interventions should prioritize strengthening JKN program socialization, enhancing service quality, and improving health workforce competence to optimize capitation fund management, particularly in resource-constrained regions such as Sorong Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at MI Al-Azhar Menganti Gresik through the application of Kinperma (Mathematical Multiplication Wheel) media in multiplication learning. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which was implemented in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 23 third-grade students in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observations of teacher and student activities, learning outcome tests, and student response questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. The findings indicate a significant improvement in both the learning process and student achievement. Teacher activity increased from 83% in Cycle I (good category) to 93% in Cycle II (very good category), while student activity improved from 93% to 98%, both categorized as very good. Student learning outcomes also showed substantial progress, with classical learning mastery increasing from 48% in Cycle I to 87% in Cycle II. In addition, student responses toward the use of Kinperma media improved from 81% (good category) to 90% (very good category), reflecting increased motivation, interest, and understanding of multiplication concepts. These results demonstrate that Kinperma media effectively facilitates concrete, interactive, and student-centered learning aligned with the cognitive development characteristics of elementary school students. Therefore, Kinperma media is feasible and effective as an alternative instructional medium to enhance mathematics learning outcomes, particularly in multiplication materials at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in the lower class of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah requires the use of real media so that students can understand the concept of abstract calculation operations, especially in the material of summing numbers 1 to 10. A lack of understanding of concepts and student learning outcomes shows the need for innovation in learning media that is in accordance with student development. One of the concrete media that can be used is the Counting Tree media. This medium allows students to learn by manipulating objects directly. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Counting Tree media in improving the ability of summation counting operations of grade I students of MI Al-Azhar Menganti Gresik. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (PTK) design with a mix-methods approach. The research subjects consisted of 25 students in grade I. The research was carried out in two cycles which included the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques include observation of teacher and student activities, learning outcome tests, and student response questionnaires. The results of the study showed an increase in teacher and student activity with the category of very good. The completeness of student learning outcomes increased from 64% in the first cycle to 94% in the second cycle. The reason is that the Counting Tree media is effective in improving the ability of addition calculation operations and creating more meaningful mathematics learning for low-grade students.

Abstract

This study examines the individual and synergistic effects of digital technology application, represented by information technology capital expenditure (Capex IT), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance on corporate valuation, measured using Tobin’s Q. The analysis investigates whether technology investment and sustainability performance operate as complementary strategic drivers of firm value. The empirical results indicate that Capex IT exhibits a consistently positive and statistically significant influence on corporate valuation, suggesting that technology-related investments enhance operational efficiency, competitive advantage, and market expectations of future growth. In contrast, ESG performance demonstrates a negative and significant relationship with Tobin’s Q across several baseline model specifications, implying that ESG initiatives may not yet be fully priced by the market or may involve short-term costs that outweigh perceived benefits. However, when ESG is decomposed into its environmental, social, and governance components and included simultaneously, the aggregate ESG effect becomes positive and significant, indicating that a more balanced and integrated sustainability structure contributes to value creation. Moreover, the interaction term between Capex IT and ESG Score reveals a positive and significant effect on firm value, providing strong evidence of a synergistic relationship. This finding suggests that digital technology investment enhances the effectiveness, transparency, and market relevance of ESG initiatives. Overall, the results highlight the role of technological capability as a critical enabler that amplifies the value relevance of sustainability performance, offering important implications for managers and investors seeking to integrate digital transformation and ESG strategies to strengthen long-term corporate valuation.

Abstract

Generation Z (Gen Z) is a generation that grew up in the digital era with intensive use of social media, including Instagram. As the largest user group, Gen Z consumes a wide range of influencer-generated content, including motivational content that may affect psychological well-being, particularly self-esteem. However, empirical studies specifically examining the influence of motivational content from Instagram influencers on Gen Z’s self-esteem remain limited. This study aims to analyze Gen Z’s interest in motivational content on Instagram and to examine changes in self-esteem before and after exposure to such content. A quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed. The sample consisted of 150 university students in Banjarbaru City selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) administered via questionnaires. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test was used to analyze differences in self-esteem scores before and after treatment. The results indicate a significant increase in self-esteem following exposure to motivational content on Instagram. The average post-treatment self-esteem score was higher than the pre-treatment score, confirming the positive impact of motivational content. In addition, although most respondents reported only occasional exposure to motivational content, the majority expressed liking and interest in such content. These findings suggest that motivational content on Instagram contributes positively to enhancing Gen Z’s self-esteem and may serve as an effective medium for psychological empowerment.

Abstract

The need to better understand the elements influencing consumers' online purchasing decisions has arisen as a result of the intense competition among online merchants brought about by the rapid expansion of digital business. Although earlier research has emphasized the significance of promotional tactics and high-quality digital material, empirical results about their relative efficacy and the function of trust in online buying situations are still contradictory. With customer trust acting as a mediating variable, this study attempts to investigate the impact of digital content quality and online promotion on online purchase decisions. Using survey information gathered from 150 online shoppers who had made purchases via digital platforms, a quantitative study methodology was used. Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to examine the data in order to evaluate the measurement and structural models. The findings show that while consumer trust has a substantial impact on online purchase decisions, online promotion has a big beneficial impact on both. On the other hand, neither customer trust nor online purchase decisions are significantly impacted by the quality of digital material. These results imply that promotional incentives and trust-building strategies are more important than content quality alone in influencing consumer purchasing behavior in fiercely competitive digital marketplaces. Practically speaking, the findings suggest that in order to improve purchase outcomes, digital companies should prioritize clear and appealing promotional techniques while also building customer trust.
