Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to discuss the implementation of understanding Arabic cultural literacy in the formation of the personality of grade VIII students at MTs Nasyi'in Sidoarjo. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, which involves interviews, observations, and documentary studies. The sample in this study is a grade VII student of MTs Nasyi'in. The results of the study show that factors such as family environment, school, and community play an important role in the formation of students' personalities. Through learning activities involving moral values, students show an attitude of tolerance, manners, and help. Moral education applied in schools not only aims to increase students' knowledge, but also to shape their character to be in accordance with Islamic values. These findings emphasize the importance of collaboration between families, schools, and communities in creating an environment that supports the development of positive personalities in students. It is suggested that the next researcher may be able to develop a moral-based education curriculum sourced from Arab culture with appropriate methods. Abstract

Abstract: Inclusive da'wah communication has become an urgent necessity in multicultural societies to ensure that the Islamic message of rahmatan lil 'alamin (a mercy to all creation) is universally embraced. This study aims to explore the patterns of inclusive da'wah communication through the perspective of modern da'wah management, focusing on adaptive strategies that address the challenges of cultural, linguistic, and religious diversity. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, this research examines the implementation of inclusive communication strategies within da'wah communities in multicultural regions of Indonesia. The findings reveal that inclusive da'wah communication requires three key elements: 1) Cultural Empathy, the ability of preachers (da’i) to understand and appreciate the local values of the community. 2) Cross-Cultural Collaboration to involves synergy between local communities and religious leaders to deliver dakwah messages contextually, and 3) Utilization of Digital Technology, serving as a medium to extend the reach of da'wah while preserving the essence of Islamic values. Furthermore, the study highlights that data-driven da'wah management approaches significantly aid in designing targeted and relevant da'wah programs tailored to community needs. In conclusion, inclusive da'wah communication not only enhances the effectiveness of da'wah in multicultural societies but also serves as a model for fostering social harmony and strengthening national identity. This research provides both theoretical and practical contributions to the advancement of modern da'wah management in the globalization era. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe and interpret the multicultural education values in Sinau Bareng sessions with Cak Nun and Kiai Kanjeng, as well as the process of instilling these values to foster religious moderation. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and audiovisual documentation analysis. The data analysis utilized a descriptive method, involving data collection, organization, explanation, and interpretation. The findings indicate that the multicultural education values embodying religious moderation in Sinau Bareng include: (1) tolerance, (2) equality, (3) democracy, (4) justice, (5) harmony, (6) mutual understanding, (7) mutual assistance, and (8) deliberation. These values have a significant positive impact on daily life within the Majelis Maiyah community and society at large. However, as this study employs a qualitative case study approach, its findings are limited in generalizability. The results are specific to the context of Sinau Bareng with Cak Nun and Kiai Kanjeng and may not be directly applicable to other situations or groups. Abstract

Abstract: In this modern era, gold investment has become a popular choice in Indonesia, as shown by the Katadata Insight Center survey which stated that 58.5% of respondents chose gold as their main form of investment. In line with technological developments and ease of transactions, cashless gold buying and selling is becoming increasingly common, including in the form of sharia products offered by financial institutions such as Bank Syariah Indonesia and Pegadaian Syariah. However, this transaction caused controversy from an Islamic legal perspective, considering that gold is a usurious commodity that must be traded in cash. This research uses a qualitative literature study method with secondary data from literature and the MUI website. Stages include data collection, fatwa analysis, and drawing up conclusions. The focus of this research is to examine the concept of DSN MUI fatwa no. 77/DSN-MUI/V/2010 concerning non-cash buying and selling of gold and analyzing the legal basis based on 'urf. This fatwa was born based on the principle of legal istinbath which takes into account the Al-Qur'an, hadith, ushul fiqh rules, and relevant fiqh rules, especially those related to the concept of 'urf (tradition). However, this fatwa is still a matter of debate among ulama because of the potential for usury, speculation and gharar in non-cash gold buying and selling transactions. In this way, it is hoped that it can provide a more comprehensive understanding of the legal validity of these transactions in the context of sharia economics in Indonesia. Abstract

Pesantren tradisional merupakan salah satu institusi pendidikan tertua di Indonesia yang memiliki peran penting dalam pembentukan karakter dan keilmuan umat Islam. Di era globalisasi yang ditandai dengan kemajuan teknologi dan perubahan sosial yang cepat, pesantren tradisional dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan dan peluang. Abstrak ini mengkaji konstruksi sistem pendidikan pesantren tradisional di era global, mengidentifikasi paradoks yang muncul, serta menilai relevansinya dalam konteks modern. Paradoks utama yang dihadapi adalah bagaimana pesantren dapat mempertahankan nilai-nilai tradisional dan kearifan lokal di tengah tuntutan untuk beradaptasi dengan perkembangan zaman. Di satu sisi, pesantren harus menjaga identitas dan nilai-nilai yang diwariskan oleh para ulama terdahulu, sementara di sisi lain, mereka perlu mengintegrasikan teknologi dan metode pembelajaran modern agar tetap relevan dan kompetitif. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi literatur dan wawancara mendalam, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa banyak pesantren telah berhasil mengembangkan kurikulum yang menggabungkan pendidikan agama dan pengetahuan umum, serta memanfaatkan teknologi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Meskipun demikian, tantangan tetap ada, terutama terkait dengan resistensi terhadap perubahan dan keterbatasan sumber daya. Abstrak ini menyimpulkan bahwa relevansi pesantren tradisional di era global terletak pada kemampuannya untuk beradaptasi tanpa kehilangan esensi dari nilai-nilai yang dipegang teguh. Dengan demikian, pesantren dapat terus memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk generasi yang berakhlak mulia dan berilmu pengetahuan luas, siap menghadapi tantangan global tanpa melupakan jati diri lokal.

Abstract

The study of Quranic exegesis (tafsir) in Indonesia has undergone a significant transformation, reflecting the dynamic interplay between textual authority and socio-cultural contexts. The transformation of tafsir in Indonesia is not merely a scholarly pursuit, but also a reflection of the broader socio-political and cultural landscapes that shape the interpretation of the sacred text. This transformation is evident in the various approaches to tafsir, ranging from traditional methods to modern contextual analyses, which reveal the underlying epistemological frameworks and ideological stances of the interpreters. This research employs a qualitative approach with critical analysis to explore the evolution of interpretative authority and the shifts in hermeneutical strategies within the Indonesian context. The study concludes that the dynamics of Quranic textual authority in Indonesia are the result of a complex interaction between tradition, innovation, and socio-political forces.

Abstract

Abstract This reseach will explain the crossing of Arab and Javanese cultures that occurred in the Alawiyyin ethnic Basyaiban family which has a long history, a unique process that is different from other Alawiyyan people, as well as a strong influence on the culture that developed in Magelang. This article attempts to explain the process of cultural mixing that occurred in the Basyaiban family in Magelang from Hadramaut to Magelang. The researcher uses the historical method which consists of four stages, namely: heuristic, verification, interpretation and historiography. The concepts used in this study are the genealogical concepts and theory from Hall, namely: Representation and Cultural Identity in compiling this paper. The findings from this study indicate that, first: the Basyaiban family in the process of cross-culturalism was strongly influenced by the Javanese sultanates, namely the Cirebon Sultanate and the Ngayogyakarta Sultanate. Second: By mixing Arabic and Javanese culture, the Basyaiban family gained its existence in the social elite for 126 years. Third: The Basyaiban family succeeded in bringing out its hybrid identity in many aspects such as marriage, religion, education, food and housing. Keywords: Arab Javanese, Alawiyyin, Basyaiban, Magelang Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap persilangan budaya Arab dan Jawa yang terjadi pada etnik Alawiyyin keluarga Basyaiban. Mereka mempunyai sejarah panjang dan proses yang unik dalam akulturasi yang berbeda dengan kaum Alawiyyan lainnya, serta pengaruh yang kuat dalam budaya yang berkembang di Magelang. Artikel ini berusaha menjelaskan proses dari percampuran budaya yang terjadi di keluarga Basyaiban Magelang semenjak dari Hadramaut hingga Magelang. Peneliti menggunakan metode historis yang terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu: heuristic, verifikasi, interpretasi dan historiografi. Adapun konsep yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah konsep genealogi dan teori dari Hall, yaitu: Representasi dan Cultural Identity dalam menyusun tulisan ini. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, pertama: keluarga Basyaiban dalam proses persilangan budayanya sangat dipengaruhi oleh kesultanan Jawa yaitu Kasultanan Cirebon dan Kasultanan Ngayogyakarta. Kedua: Dengan mencampurkan budaya Arab dan Jawa Keluarga Basyaiban mendapatkan eksistensinya di elite sosial selama 126 tahun Ketiga: Keluarga Basyaiban berhasil memunculkan identitas hybridnya dalam banyak aspek seperti pernikahan, keagamaan, pendidikan, makanan dan tempat tinggal. Abstract

Perkembangan manusia telah mengalami peningkatan yang begitu pesat, tidak terkecuali dalam bidang pendidikan. Pendidikan juga merupakan salah satu aspek yang digunakan dalam sektor Pembangunan guna menentukan Tingkat kemajuan suatu bangsa. Namun kenyaaan dilapangan menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia masih rendah dan masih memerlukan peningkatan dari berbagai aspek. Oleh karena itu Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui definisi dari urgensi manajemen mutu pendidikan, serta mengungkap beberapa fakta mengenai urgensi manajemen mutu yang ada disatuan lembaga pendidikan formal. Juga Solusi dalam menghadapi keadaan tersebut. Adapun Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, menggunakan sumber data sekunder, teknik pengumpulan data yakni metode Library Research yang mana seluruh data dari makalah ini didapatkan dari beberapa buku- buku atau tulisan pustakaan yang ada relevansinya dengan judul makalah ini. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Analisis teks Hasil pembahasan yakni devinisi urgensi manajemen mutu dilembaga pendidikan formal,terdapat beberapa urgensi manajemen mutu pendidikan yang harus segera mendapatkan penanganan yakni mencakup, peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, kepuasan stakeholder, akreditasi dan pengakuan, efesiensi dan efektivitas pengelolaan dan pembelajaran berkelanjutan. Solusi dari permasalahan yang di timbulkan oleh urgensi manajemen mutu pendidikan tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan metode evaluasi yang objektif, meningkatkan komunikasi dengan stakeholder melalui pertemuan rutin, mengalokasi sumber daya yang memadai, menerapkan teknologi informasi dan sistem manajemen yang modern, dan mendorong budaya pembelajaran berkelanjutan di antara staf dan siswa dengan mempromosikan sikap terbuka terhadap umpan balik, refleksi diri, dan pengembangan diri. Abstract

This study aims (1) To find out how to internalize the values of religious moderation in learning Islamic Religious Education. (2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the internalization of religious moderation values in Islamic Religious Education learning. (3) What are the implications of internalizing the values of religious moderation in learning Islamic Religious Education. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method with a type of field research located at Smk Semen Gresik. The subjects of this research include school principals, teachers and students. The data collection technique uses interview, observation and documentation methods. The results of this study show that (1) Internalization of religious moderation values in learning Islamic Religious Education at Smk Semen Gresik through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The internalization of the values of religious moderation can be done by methods: a) Teaching method, b) Exemplary method, c) Motivation method, d) Habituation method, e) Rule enforcement method. (2) Supporting factors: a) high commitment from the principal, teachers, staff, and other stakeholders. On the other hand, the availability of facilities and infrastructure to support the learning process. b) extracurricular activities. c) the competence of educators in campaigning for religious moderation. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are that students are not wise in sorting and choosing information, hoax news, and content on radicalism issues, as well as the lack of a collection of literacy reading materials. (3) The implications of internalizing the values of religious moderation include obedience to rules such as obeying school rules that apply at school. And respect for others such as being friendly with anyone and not underestimating others, being reverent with teachers, and not preceding teachers when walking, as well as familiarity with friends and teachers. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to explore the integration model of Abid Al-Jabiri's epistemology in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning to develop critical thinking at the university level. The research employs a library research method, utilizing primary data derived from Muhammad Abid Al-Jabiri's works related to the epistemologies of bayani, burhani, and irfani. Secondary data are drawn from journals and books discussing Muhammad Abid Al-Jabiri and their relevance to this research. Data analysis uses content analysis by selecting data that aligns with the core themes of the study. The findings indicate that the integration of Muhammad Abid Al-Jabiri's epistemology in PAI learning at universities can foster students' critical thinking through an integrative-holistic model. The learning stages include: Bayani Stage (Authentic Learning): This stage facilitates a foundational understanding of Islamic teachings through religious texts and evidences. Burhani Stage (Critical-Contextual Thinking): This stage emphasizes reasoning based on Islamic evidences analyzed through rational intellect, involving empirical data or social issues arising in the community. Irfani Stage (Spiritual-Emotional Learning): This stage prioritizes spiritual experiences as a source of knowledge. Through this integrative-holistic learning model, PAI instruction at universities can effectively enhance students’ critical thinking while deepening their comprehensive understanding of Islamic teachings.
