Abstract

Abstract

PT. Wartsila Indonesia, as the manager of the Lombok Gas and Steam Engine Power Plant (PLTMGU) has an obligation to maintain an Equivalent Availability Factor (EAF) above 90%. In 2024, EAF will be recorded at 96.97%, with a total outage of 3,726 hours due to Planned Outage (PO) and Force Outage (FO). For 2025, EAF is predicted to be 90.02% with a PO of 7,958 Hours. The planned duration of the PO for 32,000 hours of maintenance is 18 days or 432 hours. The total number of machines that will carry out maintenance of these 32,000 hours is nine Wartsila machines W20V34DF. This study aims to plan a 32,000-hour maintenance activity schedule using the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) method, and the Critical Path Method (CPM). The study successfully shortened the planned maintenance duration from 18 days (432 hours) to 15 days (345 hours), saving 87 hours per machine. This reduction in maintenance duration can increase EAF and anticipate FO by providing a UOH allocation of 274 hours. With this allocation, the EAF Prediction in 2025 increased to 90.66% beyond the initial prediction. These results confirm the importance of careful planning and management of maintenance schedules to maintain operational sustainability and improve power plant performance.

Abstract

The purpose of discussing the implementation of organic waste management policies in South Tangerang is to see the implementation of waste disposal policies managed by the Environmental Service successfully become something that is beneficial to society and the state. The empirical condition of the waste problem is a social phenomenon that until now has not been able to be resolved completely by the Indonesian Government. The population is increasing day by day. The increasing population of people in urban areas makes settlements in each area become dense, so that the availability of land / settlements to fulfill people's residences is decreasing. Waste problems are still in the spotlight and almost all Tangerang Selatan cities experience problems in waste management. Especially in urban areas, managing urban waste can be said to be fairly difficult and has many challenges in its management. The larger the area of an urban area, the more waste will be generated so that management is more difficult.  Waste management policies, especially food waste, can provide legal certainty in planning and utilization for the government, entrepreneurs, waste pickers, waste banks, communities, and the public. Policies in the form of programs to increase the role of the community by using the 3 R concept (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) are needed. Innovations continue to be developed where the main focus is to reduce waste and turn waste into renewable energy. Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2018 concerning the acceleration of the construction of waste processing installations into electrical energy based on environmentally friendly technology. a. that in order to increase the resilience of cities in maintaining public health and environmental quality, and to make waste a resource as mandated in Article 4 of Law Number 18 of 2008 concerning Waste Management, as well as to significantly reduce the volume of waste for the sake of cleanliness and beauty of the city, it is deemed necessary to accelerate the construction of Waste Processing installations into Electrical Energy Based on Environmentally Friendly Technology in certain provinces and districts / cities; b. that based on the considerations referred to in letter a, it is necessary to establish a presidential regulation concerning the Acceleration of the Construction of Waste Processing Installations into Electrical Energy Based on Environmentally Friendly technology.

Abstract

Business travel is an integral part of a company’s operations that ensures smooth workflow and supports organizational objectives. However, the management of business travel at PT XYZ, which currently relies on manual processes, often leads to inefficiencies and administrative challenges. With thousands of employees spread across Indonesia, PT XYZ faces significant obstacles in ensuring an effective and efficient travel management system. This study aims to develop a mobile-based travel management application that supports the company’s digital transformation efforts, particularly in human capital management. The development process adopts the Design Thinking approach to deeply understand user needs through five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Additionally, the Agile Scrum methodology is applied as a collaborative and iterative framework to guide the application development process. The research was conducted between April and June 2025, involving PT XYZ employees who frequently utilize the business travel service. The outcome of this study is a prototype application that automates the end-to-end travel process — from travel request and approval to execution and reporting — and is integrated in real-time with the company's information systems. The feature validation results show that all functional components of the application are considered ready for use, with an average usability score of 8.42, and a visual design quality score of 8.52 (on a scale of 1–10). In addition, the prototype achieved an average score of 81.63 based on Maze testing. Through the combined use of Design Thinking and Agile Scrum, this study delivers tangible contributions to improving efficiency, data accuracy, and transparency in managing business travel. The proposed application is expected to serve as a strategic solution for enhancing travel administration and supporting the digital transformation of human resource processes at PT XYZ. Moreover, the findings from this research offer a practical implementation model for human-centered digital innovation in corporate settings.

Abstract

depression is a prevalent and often overlooked mental health issue in the elderly, significantly impacting their quality of life. Among its multifaceted risk factors, hearing impairment stands out due to its high prevalence and profound psychosocial consequences. Concurrently, metabolic disorders are also common in this demographic. While the individual links between hearing impairment and depression, and metabolic disorders and general health, are known, their intricate combined effects on depression in older adults remain underexplored. Aims : this study aimed to investigate the differences in demographic characteristics, depression levels, and metabolic profiles between elderly individuals with and without hearing impairment, and to analyze the correlation between specific hearing impairment characteristics, metabolic parameters, and depression. Methods : a cross-sectional study was conducted involving 114 elderly participants (28 without hearing impairment, 86 with hearing impairment). Hearing status was assessed using pure tone audiometry (measuring bone conduction, type, and degree of hearing loss) and the Hearing Handicap Inventory for the Elderly Screening (HHIES). Metabolic parameters included total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL, and uric acid. Depression was measured using the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS). Mann-Whitney U test was used for group comparisons, and Spearman's correlation was employed to assess relationships between variables. Results : elderly individuals with hearing impairment were significantly older (p=0.008) and exhibited significantly higher GDS scores (p=0.049) than those without hearing impairment. Significant differences were also found in total cholesterol (p=0.028), HDL (p=0.003), and LDL (p=0.039). Spearman's correlation revealed significant positive associations between all hearing impairment characteristics (HHIES, bone conduction, type, and degree of hearing loss) and GDS scores (p<0.05). Conversely, metabolic parameters generally showed no significant correlation with GDS. Conclusion : hearing impairment is significantly associated with higher levels of depression in the elderly and is linked to distinct metabolic profiles. These findings underscore the importance of comprehensive screening for both hearing loss and depression in older adults, advocating for integrated geriatric care approaches.
