Abstract

Acid mine drainage (AAT) is water formed at mining sites with a low pH (pH<6) as a result of opening up a potential for rock acidity, causing problems for water quality, and rocks containing sulfide minerals. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) and aluminium sulphate ((Al2SO4)3) at optimum doses on neutralizing pH and reducing metal content in AAT. This study used a variation of the dose of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) of 0,5; 0,75; 1; and 1,25 grams and the variation of the dose of aluminium sulphate ((Al2SO4)3) of 1; 1,75; 2,5; and 3,25 grams with a contact time of 30 minutes. The initial concentration of TSS acid mine drainage was 430 mg/L, Fe was 26,92 mg/L, Mn was 7,69 mg/L, and pH was 3,8. The results showed that the doses of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) and aluminium sulphate ((Al2SO4)3) had an effect on Ph, TSS, Fe, and Mn. TSS removal efficiency was 96,89%, Fe was 99,74%, and Mn was 95,19%.

Abstract

The research was conducted at the stockROM owned by PT Multi Harapan Utama (PT MHU) which is managed by PT Mitra Terminal Kaltim. In the process of receiving to shipping coal, factors that cannot be avoided. The amount of coal loss from weighing to barge in May was 1,955 tons with factors that caused the loss, namely in the process of weighing, transporting, stacking, and crushing coal and loading on barges, taking test samples and operator negligence. Referring to the reference coal price of the Ministry of Energy and Resources (ESDM) in May 2023 PT MHU has the potential to experience a loss of Rp. 5.251.062.510.

Abstract

The research was conducted in pit 15 of PT Multi Harapan Utama. In the process of mining activities in pit 15 in May 2023 in seam 14, 14X, 14XL, 15U, 15U1, and 15U2. There are several activities that result in coal losses, the amount of coal loss is 685 tons so the mining recovery is 98.74%. Coal loss in pit 15 occurred due to incomplete coal mining, coal re-cleaning, scattered coal not directly transported to the stockpile, waterlogged loading points, coal weighing, and distance of coal survey data collection.

Abstract

Clayey silt is one of the soils that cause many problems in infrastructure. The nature of clay depends on the dominance of the minerals it contains, this can give different behavior between clayey silt in one place and clayey silt in another place. This study aims to determine the behavior of clayey silt material in landslides on Sultan Sulaiman Road, Sambutan sub-district of Samarinda and find relationships between its physical properties including plasticity index relationship with water content and swelling. USCS classification results are included in the silt (ML) group. From the test results of moisture content ranged from 26.3% - 36.3%, Atterberg boundary tested resulted in a soil plasticity index of 28.7%, 17.3%, 14.7%, 14.7%, 13.8%, 2.6% and has an average of 15.3%. The average development percentage obtained is 1.7%, so the expansive degree of development potential is still in the low category, while the resulted of the landslide development pressure test are 135 kPa, 130 kPa, 66 kPa, 64 kPa, 39 kPa, 35 kPa with an average result of 78.2 kPa, also included in the low development potential group.

Abstract

Blasting activities carried out in mining activities always produce effects that will have an impact on the surrounding area of the blasting site, from some of the blasting effects that exist one of which is soil vibration, so that at the research site in Pit Jongkang which is close to the village with a distance of approximately 300-400m it is very important to measure the level of vibration leading to the village so that the results of the vibration caused by the blasting process are obtained. Based on the results of the analysis obtained the effect of the explosive charge on the vibration of the soil that is the more the explosive charge of the resulting vibration will be greater. And with the holes that explode simultaneously, the vibration caused will be large so that the use of delay time is needed to minimize the presence of holes that explode simultaneously so that the resulting vibration does not exceed the 2 mm/s vibration limit. For recommendations on the maximum amount of explosive charge so that the vibration caused does not exceed the PPV standard, namely at a distance of 300 m, and 400 m by 36 kg, and 64 kg, perdelay. With the use of the recommended surface delay is a pair of surface delay 42 ms and 67 ms in the echelon cut circuit pattern, because it slightly efficiencies the time and the resulting PPV does not exceed 2 mm/s.

Abstract

Pada pit G-H PT Borneo Indobara terdapat Sungai ditengah pit yang dapat sewaktu-waktu banjir, Jika terjadi banjir akan membanjiri pit yang masih aktif melakukan penggalian dan banyak aktifitas sehingga beresiko menimbulkan kerugian berupa kerusakan alat bahkan berpotensi menimbulkan korban jiwa. Untuk mengurangi resiko ini diperlukan embankment. Pembentukan embankment dilakukan dengan mendesign embakment dan melakukan analisis geoteknik untuk memastikan keamanan lereng tambang agar dipastikan saat terbentuk tidak terjadi longsor pada lereng tambang. Setelah dilakukan kajian geoteknik dengan melakukan cros section pada 3 segmen didapatkan data Pada section line 1 memiliki Pof : 0% dan FK > 1.246 pada segmen 1 aman, Pada section line 2 memiliki Pof : 0% dan FK > 1.428 menandakan pada segmen ini aman, dan Pada section line 3 memiliki Pof : 0% dan FK > 0.577, pada segmen 3 perlu dilakukan perbaikan dengan mengurangi lebar embankment, setelah dilakukan perbaikan pada segmen 3 didapati dengan mengurangi lebar embankment menjadi 15 didapati bahwa naik menjadi > 1.249 dengan Pof 0% dengan design yang telah direvisi aman untuk di bentuk. Abstract

In planning a project, it is necessary to have an activity schedule that can be used as a guide by implementers in carrying out their activities in the field, this shows that scheduling is very influential in the implementation of a project. Good project scheduling can make a project run effectively and efficiently, but in reality it is not always the same as what was planned. In this case, it can be seen in the implementation of the construction of the Marriage Hall and Hajj Pilgrimage Building in Dumoga Utara District in Bolaang Mongondow Regency. In the construction process for the construction of the Balai Nikah and Manasik Haji Building, North Dumoga District in Bolaang Mongondow Regency, there were delays caused by several factors in the field, resulting in a delay of 25 days which was originally planned to be completed in 120 days but in the field the project was completed in 145 days. Because this happens, an analysis of project scheduling is carried out in order to find out what causes delays in the project. From the results of the analysis obtained, the cause of the delay is in the foundation work item. Factors that cause delays are unfavorable weather, lack of labor, and contractors.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the adsorption pattern of heavy metals. Adsorption tests were conducted on Fe and Mn in Acid Mine Drainage (AAT) samples containing Fe 13.006 mg/L and Mn 30.590 mg/L at various time and adsorbent mass variations. The experimental results showed that the composite mass of 5 grams could reduce the iron concentration to 99.35%, but the adsorbent mass of 2.5 grams is more efficient because it succeeded in reducing the iron concentration to 0.1484 mg/L within 30 minutes, thus meeting the quality standards set. The adsorption pattern in this study is described through the adsorption isotherm curve which has a correlation coefficient (R2) close to 1. Based on the analysis results, Fe adsorption followed the Langmuir isotherm pattern with R2 = 0.998, while Mn adsorption followed the Langmuir isotherm pattern with R2 = 0.997. The analysis showed that the correlation coefficient in Langmuir isotherm was higher than Freundlich isotherm for both Fe and Mn, indicating a very strong level of correlation in the Langmuir model. The adsorption mechanism observed in this study is characterized as chemical adsorption. The adsorbent exhibits an adsorption capacity of 1.286 mg/g for Fe and 1.031 mg/g for Mn under the optimal conditions of a 2.5-gram mass of adsorbent for 30 minutes.

Abstract

Salah satu sektor utama yang memegang peranan penting di Kabupaten Kulon Progo adalah sektor Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM). Di wilayah ini, tercatat ada 159 UKM yang mengemban peran penting dalam perekonomian lokal. Saat pandemi COVID-19 melanda, UKM-UKM ini menunjukkan kerentanannya terhadap perubahan ekonomi yang tak terduga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah model matematika yang dapat mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pertumbuhan UKM selama masa pandemi. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode regresi linier, analisis korelasi, dan strategi pengelompokan (clustering) untuk memahami dampak faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi pada perkembangan UKM. Penelitian ini menggunakan Data primer omset dan pengembangan aset, manusia-mesin-pasar, lokasi dan kondisi UKM serta data sekunder diperoleh melalui survei institusi yang meliputi data kebijakan, infrastruktur daerah untuk kegiatan UKM, serta kondisi eksternal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama masa pandemi, UKM di Kulon Progo mengalami penurunan produktivitas dan aktivitas yang berdampak pada pendapatan. Hasil regresi Y = -42.581.486 + 9717.983 x1 + 4.075.092 x2 + 8.481.358 x3 dengan x1 menunjukkan jumlah jam kerja, x2 jumlah pelanggan, dan x3 lama usaha. Analisis karakteristik UKM di Kulon Progo yang telah dikelompokkan menunjukkan bahwa setiap kelompok memerlukan pendekatan pemasaran yang unik untuk bertahan dalam kondisi yang tidak stabil ini.

Abstract

PT Indominco Mandiri is a company engaged in coal mining, which is located in Teluk Pandan, East Kutai, East Kalimantan. The main activities of mining, consist of stripping overburden, disclosure, loading and carrying coal from the pit to the Coal Crushing Plant. The mining system used is an open mine using the strip mine method. Therefore, the activities are greatly impacted by weather, including rainfall. In 2023, the pit will be expanded so the water discharge that entering the pit will be increase. With huge water discharge, a larger mine drainage capacity is also needed. Therefore, it is necessary to calculate the capacity of a good mine drainage system. Based on calculations and analysis of rainfall data for 2013-2022 using the Gumbell method, the planned rainfall was 112.85 mm with a return period of rain 5 years and a hydrological risk 85.6%. The Mononobe formula was used to calculate rainfall intensity and obtained rate at 17,15 mm/day which is included in heavy rain. The research location is divided into 4 rain catchment areas, 3 areas are inside the pit while an area is outside the pit. The area of ​​rain catchment area I is 79.5 Ha with a runoff water discharge is 2.82 m3/second, rain catchment area II is 76.3 Ha with runoff water discharge is 2.70 m3/second, rain catchment area III is 112 ha, 4 Ha with a runoff water discharge is 3.98 m3/second, rain catchment area IV covering an area of ​​51.8 Ha with a runoff water discharge is 0.98 m3/second. Based on the research results, there are 2 open channels, open channel I drains runoff water outside the pit and open channel II flows water pumped from the sump to the settling pond. The sump that needs repair is the southern sump with a recommended volume is 13,621 m3 with 2 Multiflo 420 EX pumps with a pumping flow of 1000 m3/hour. The settling pond consists of 7 compartments, dredging of each compartment must be carried out regularly so that the settling pond can accommodate the pumping discharge. Therefore exist of expansion pit, capacity or size of open channels and settling pond isn’t required additional capacity, but for sump capacity and the RPM and debit of pump used in the south sump need to be repaired.
