Abstract

This study examines the integration of Islamic legal education in shaping anti-bullying character among students at Madrasah Aliyah Miftahussalam Medan. The research is grounded in the growing concern over the rise of bullying in educational environments, which disrupts students’ psychological well-being, learning processes, and school order. The central research question explores how Islamic legal principles—emphasizing justice, responsibility, brotherhood, and the prohibition of wrongdoing—can be systematically embedded to cultivate students’ capacity to prevent and resist bullying. Using a qualitative design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and subsequently analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that Islamic legal education is integrated through the strengthening of fiqh muamalah and ethics materials, along with the internalization of Sharia-based values in extracurricular activities and school culture. Routine habituation of respectful conduct, teacher role-modeling, and Sharia-oriented disciplinary enforcement effectively foster empathy, responsibility, and mutual respect among students. These efforts contribute to a noticeable decline in bullying incidents and enhance students’ awareness of maintaining social harmony. The study concludes that Islamic legal education plays a significant role in developing anti-bullying character and that a systematic, holistic integration of Islamic legal values provides an effective model for creating a safe, humanistic, and civilized educational environment.

Abstract

This study investigates the development of character education at the Private Madrasah Aliyah Miftahussalam Medan by examining its conceptual foundation, implementation patterns, and effectiveness within the school environment. The research addresses the central question of how Islamic ethical principles are integrated into daily educational practices to shape students’ moral character. Using a qualitative design, data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of institutional programs. The findings reveal that character formation is carried out through structured religious activities, teacher role modelling, extracurricular programs, and environmental habituation that reinforces discipline, respect, and spiritual awareness. The study identifies institutional commitment and teacher exemplarity as supporting factors, whereas challenges arise from limited facilities, inconsistent program implementation, and students’ diverse backgrounds. The study concludes that character development at Miftahussalam Madrasah is progressing yet requires more systematic planning, continuous evaluation, and stronger parental engagement. These findings contribute to the refinement of character education models in contemporary Islamic schooling contexts.

Abstract

This study addresses the limited use of interactive digital evaluation tools in assessing students’ mastery of observation report texts by developing a Gimkit-assisted learning evaluation tool for tenth-grade students at State Senior High School One Raya Kahean, Simalungun Regency. The study seeks to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the developed tool in supporting Indonesian language learning assessment. Employing a Research and Development approach, the study adopted the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research involved a population of 124 students, with a sample of 30 students, and included validation by a material expert, a design expert, an Indonesian language teacher, and student users. The findings demonstrate that the evaluation tool achieved a high level of feasibility, with material expert validation reaching 88.33 percent and design expert validation reaching 89.66 percent. In addition, the effectiveness assessment conducted by the Indonesian language teacher yielded a score of 92 percent, indicating a highly effective category. The study argues that integrating gamified digital applications such as Gimkit into evaluation practices enhances assessment quality, student engagement, and instructional relevance, making the tool a viable and effective alternative for school-based learning evaluation.

Abstract

This study addresses the need for innovative and effective instructional materials in language learning by developing and evaluating Student Worksheets based on the Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create learning model integrated with the Book Creator digital platform for speech text instruction. Employing a Research and Development approach, the study applied the Four-D model encompassing the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The research involved a population of 183 eighth-grade junior high school students, with a purposive sample of 31 students from class VIII-3. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative techniques. Expert validation results indicated a high level of feasibility, with material validation reaching 84.8 percent and media validation 86.8 percent, both categorized as very feasible. Empirical findings further demonstrated strong effectiveness, reflected in positive teacher responses at 92 percent, student responses at 90 percent, and an average student learning achievement score of 90. These results substantiate that the developed worksheets are pedagogically sound and effective in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes in speech text instruction.

Abstract

This article critically examines the relationship between motherhood, mental health, and Islamic education through the framework of moral pedagogy. Departing from the dominant idealization of mothers as al-umm madrasah al-?l? (the first school), the study questions how this normative construct operates within contemporary Islamic educational discourse and how it shapes mothers’ psychological experiences. Employing a library research method with an integrative theoretical review design, the analysis synthesizes scholarship from motherhood studies, mental health research, sociology of education, and Islamic education. The findings demonstrate that Islamic education often frames motherhood as a moral-pedagogical project that personalizes educational responsibility and positions mothers as the primary agents of children’s moral development. This construction generates structural mental health consequences, including chronic stress, emotional exhaustion, and maternal burnout, rather than merely individual psychological problems. These burdens are further intensified by the unequal distribution of pedagogical responsibility, in which schools, religious institutions, and the state provide limited structural support. The article argues that maternal mental health constitutes a critical indicator of pedagogical justice within Islamic education and calls for a paradigmatic shift from the idealization of motherhood toward a more collective, equitable, and mental health–sensitive model of moral education.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of a human rights awareness education model delivered through a digital campaign on university students’ understanding of Online Gender-Based Violence. The growing prevalence of online gender-based violence among students has become a critical concern due to its implications for digital security, privacy, and gender equality. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational design, the study collected data through a questionnaire administered to 277 students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The digital campaign utilized an educational animated video titled Aku Ingin Rasa Aman as the primary intervention instrument. Descriptive analysis indicates a strong positive response from participants, with more than 90 percent of respondents agreeing or strongly agreeing that the video effectively enhanced their understanding of online gender-based violence. The findings demonstrate a positive and statistically significant influence of the human rights awareness education model implemented through digital campaigning on students’ comprehension of online gender-based violence. These results affirm the effectiveness of digital campaigns as an educational strategy for strengthening human rights awareness and promoting safer and more equitable digital spaces among university students.

Abstract

This study examines the management of teachers’ professional competency development in achieving the National Education Standards at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Twenty Six Syamtalira Bayu, North Aceh Regency. It addresses how managerial practices shape competency development, the challenges encountered, and the extent to which such practices contribute to educational quality. A qualitative case study design was employed, with data collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis involving the principal, vice principal, and teachers. The findings indicate that professional competency management has been implemented through systematic processes of planning, instructional delivery, and evaluation, supported by the use of learning media, educational technology, and communicative interaction with students. Several constraints persist, including limited teacher participation in professional training, insufficient capacity in developing instructional tools, and weaknesses in implementing and utilizing evaluation results. Teachers demonstrate strong social and communicative competencies that foster constructive relationships with students, parents, and the broader community. The study argues for the strengthening of needs-based management, the cultivation of a sustained professional culture, and the optimization of social capital to enhance educational quality.
