Abstract

This paper aims to find out and analyze the success factors that affect a child's learning process in pesantren. The existence of environmental engineering factors (Enviromentalism) in pesantren and the factor of intelligence from birth (Nativism) owned by each child is the center of study in this article. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive method with a comparative theory approach. The results of this study show that in general (prevalence) between environmental factors and intelligence from birth cannot be separated. Environmental factors will be greatly helped by the intelligence a child has, and vice versa where intelligence needs the right environment to be able to grow and develop optimally. Imam Shafi'i's view representing Muslim scholars does not contradict the views of Locke (Enviromentalism) or Chomsky (Nativism).

Abstract

Parental involvement in supporting the cognitive development of early childhood within the family environment remains relatively low. This study aims to identify the role of parents in providing cognitive stimulation and to describe effective forms of parental involvement in supporting children's intellectual development from an early age. The method used is a literature review, with data collected through a systematic search of books, scientific journals, and relevant research findings from the last five years. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and qualitative conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that active parental roles in interacting, guiding, and creating a supportive home environment significantly influence the optimization of children's cognitive functions. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that parental involvement in caregiving that incorporates cognitive stimulation—through educational play, communication, and the cultivation of critical thinking—serves as a key factor in shaping children's thinking abilities and lays the foundation for future academic success.

Abstract

The urgency of cultivating reading literacy habits in children aged 0–2 years amid the challenges of the digital era can significantly influence their learning patterns. This study aims to examine strategies for fostering reading literacy habits in children aged 0–2 years. The research method used is a literature review. The results show that early reading habits strengthen the emotional bond between children and parents, stimulate early language development, and foster an interest in literacy. The role of parents as the main facilitators is crucial. The study emphasizes that early literacy should be integrated through both traditional methods and the wise use of digital technology. The research suggests active parental involvement, the provision of age-appropriate reading materials, and the use of safe literacy applications for children. This study contributes to literacy-based parenting in the digital era. Thus, early literacy can be sustainably instilled to support the optimal development of children aged 0–2 years.
