Abstract

In this study to find out how the concept of educators and students and the purpose of this study to find out how the concept of educators and students of Abuddin Nata and Zakiah Daradjat's thoughts. This study is library research. The primary data source is the book of Islamic Education Science and Islamic Perspectives on Learning Strategies by Abuddin Nata, the book of Islamic Education Science and Special Methods of Islamic Religious Teaching by Zakiah Daradjat. While the secondary is books that are relevant to this study. The data collection technique uses documentation and the analysis used is content analysis. The results of this study provide the conclusion that first, the concept of educators of Abuddin Nata's thoughts is someone who is knowledgeable and has broad insight, has skills, experience, has a noble personality, understands what is written and implied, becomes an example and model for students. Second, the concept of educators of Zakiah Daradjat's thoughts is a professional educator who is able to foster all the abilities and good attitudes of students, as a teacher who guides and fosters the development of knowledge, attitudes and skills. Third, the concept of learners according to Abuddin Nata is someone who not only involves children but also adults, while students are only intended for individuals who are children, learners are also partners in teaching and learning activities. And fourth, the concept of learners according to Zakiah Daradjat is a unique individual who has potential and experiences a development process, learners are also subjects and objects in teaching and learning interactions, learners receive lessons and guidance from educators

Abstract

The ability to control oneself is an important part of a psychologically and spiritually healthy personality. In modern psychology, self-control has been widely studied because it is an important component in character formation, decision making, and emotional management. However, research on the concept of self-control from the perspective of the Qur’an is still lacking and has not been systematically arranged thematically. The purpose of this study is to explore and construct the concept of self-control based on the verses of the Qur’an using the Grounded Theory approach, which allows theories to emerge inductively and contextually from the text of revelation. This study shows that self-control in the Qur’an is not only related to controlling lust and patience, but also links deep spiritual aspects such as taqwa (awareness of God), ikhlas (purity of intention), and muraqabah (awareness of God's supervision). These results will enrich research on the topic of the Qur’an, in addition, these results will offer a new conceptual framework that can be integrated, connecting Islamic values ​​with modern psychological perspectives, and offering practical assistance to help Muslims face the challenges of self-control in the modern era.

Abstract

The lalaran method is a method of memorizing, repeating memorization and strengthening memorization which is carried out accompanied by musical rhythms so that it is easy to memorize. This study aims to identify the planning, implementation, results and impacts of the implementation of the Lalaran Nazhom Method of the Tuhfatul Athfal Book and the supporting and inhibiting factors of implementation. This study is a descriptive qualitative study, conducted at the Masyariqul Anwar Pandeglang Banten Islamic Boarding School. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis, validity checks through data triangulation. The results of the study showed: 1) Planning was carried out by analyzing, determining targets, setting implementation times and teaching strategies even though planning was limited to oral and not in written form; 2) Implementation began with congregational prayer, reading the Qur'an to the kyai, reading the matan, explaining the meaning of each sentence, explaining the meaning of the law contained, reading together nazhom accompanied by songs and music (lalaran), closed with hamdalah, greetings and ended with a friendly handshake with the kyai; 3) The results of the lalaran method are that all students memorize the tuhfatul athfal which is displayed in the end of year event so that the students' memorization becomes strong, they are motivated to memorize, they are used to repeating and it helps in understanding and implementing the reading. 4) Supporting factors come from the kyai and students, while inhibiting factors are influenced by the learning atmosphere, boredom, fatigue and personal problems of students.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology, particularly the metaverse, has brought significant changes to various sectors, including education. Islamic Religious Education (IRE), as an integral part of character and spiritual development, faces both challenges and opportunities in navigating this transformation. This study aims to explore the potential of metaverse-based virtual media in strengthening spiritual values within the context of IRE learning. A qualitative exploratory method was employed, using literature review and in-depth interviews with educators and developers of educational metaverse technologies. The findings indicate that the metaverse can serve as an alternative medium that is interactive, immersive, and participatory for delivering religious content, such as virtual worship practices, simulations of Islamic history, and learning moral values. The use of avatars, virtual classrooms, and simulated environments in the metaverse enhances students’ emotional and spiritual engagement, providing a deeper and more personal learning experience. However, ethical and technical challenges—such as content control, digital security, and the need for religious digital literacy—must be addressed prudently. This study recommends a gradual integration of the metaverse into the IRE curriculum, accompanied by the development of educators' digital competencies and a regulatory framework rooted in Islamic values. These findings are expected to serve as an innovative foundation for the development of adaptive religious education strategies in the era of Industry 5.0 and digital society.

Abstract

Religious moderation creates awareness of national defense. Article 27 Paragraph 3 of the 1945 Constitution mandates that: "Every citizen has the right and obligation to participate in efforts to defend the country. Presidential Decree Number 18 of 2020 concerning religious moderation is a policy direction in managing a dynamic and conducive religious life. The Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs followed up on the Presidential Decree by issuing Decree. Director General of Islamic Education No. 897 of 2021 concerning Technical Instructions for Religious Moderation Houses in religious universities. Religious Moderation is expected to be the basis for thinking, behaving, and acting as well as the basis for formulating policies and programs. This study uses a regulative qualitative approach to produce descriptive data that the existence of Religious Moderation Houses is effective in cultivating students with awareness of national defense.

Abstract

This study examines the imbalance between state and private school availability in Indonesia through a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis of national education policy. Although the constitution emphasizes the importance of education and the government has allocated significant resources, including the 12-Year Compulsory Education Program and a requirement to dedicate at least 20% of national and regional budgets, the implementation has yet to guarantee fair access to state schools, especially at the secondary level in urban regions. Employing a qualitative-descriptive approach, the analysis is based on primary policy documents, statistical data, and literature reviews. Findings reveal key weaknesses including uneven school distribution, limited capacity, governance gaps, and teacher shortages. Simultaneously, opportunities exist to leverage education funding, zoning policy, decentralization, and digital data systems to address these challenges. However, commercialization trends and rapid urbanization threaten to exacerbate inequality. The SWOT analysis highlights strategic pathways, including state and private partnerships, better spatial planning, and the redistribution of teachers, as means to promote more equitable policy implementation. This study concludes that policy reform must be responsive to spatial and socioeconomic disparities and grounded in cross-sectoral collaboration to realize inclusive and sustainable access to quality public education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Based on the discussion described above, it can be concluded that the language impoliteness carried out by netizens in the comments column on social media during the 2024 regional elections is in accordance with Culpeper's theory. Language impoliteness threatens negative face in the form of actions that result in the person speaking to not agreeing to do something, giving rise to an attitude of commanding, ridiculing, giving advice, giving advice, reminding, threatening, warning and opposing. Actions that threaten the positive face of the interlocutor include actions that show a negative assessment of the interlocutor resulting in expressions of disagreement, criticism, degrading actions, complaints, anger, accusations, insults, actions that show the speaker's indifference towards the interlocutor in the form of conflict, disagreement or challenge, impolite emotions and expressions, as well as actions that use expressions regarding names. A study using Culpeper's theory found that impolite language behavior is related to direct impoliteness (40%), sarcasm (30%) and withholding politeness (30%).

Abstract

Violence against children is a crucial issue that has a broad impact on children's psychological and physical development. Teachers, as central figures in the primary education environment, have a strategic role in preventing this violence. This study aims to examine the potential integration of biology education as a preventive measure against child violence. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. The data collection technique was interviews with three science teachers who teach at the junior high school level. The interview guide used included indicators of biology learning integrated with violence prevention efforts based on the possible impacts. The results of the study on junior high school teachers indicate that biology education has great potential as a preventive medium against child violence if integrated contextually with character education. Training and curriculum support are essential so that biology materials do not only focus on cognitive aspects, but also on affective aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the issue of students’ doubts regarding the intention (niyyah) in prayer. The main problem identified is the gap between theoretical knowledge of fiqh of worship and the students’ everyday spiritual practice. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the doubts experienced by students of FKM UIN Sumatera Utara are influenced by the lack of continuous spiritual guidance within the campus environment, the low level of fiqh literacy, and the tendency to perceive worship merely as a formal obligation. The study underscores the need for strengthening applied fiqh literacy and integrating spiritual development into the campus curriculum, so that students may not only understand intention in its normative dimension but also internalize it consciously in their worship practices.

Abstract

The learning models studied are the jigsaw type cooperative learning model and the expository (lecture) learning model. This research was conducted to determine whether or not there is an influence of the learning model on students' Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes. It is hoped that this will be able to help in the world of learning in relation to the contribution of thought in the form of research results. So it is hoped that with the results of this research innovation in the world of learning will be better and can improve Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes. The general aim of the research is to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects through the Jigsaw cooperative learning model specifically to: Improve student learning outcomes, Improve effective, efficient and meaningful learning processes, Increase student interest in learning, Improve the learning process fun and improve teacher professionalism. The research method used is qualitative research, while the type and research approach used in this research is Classroom Action Research. This jigsaw type learning model is described as an effort to create main goals and shared tasks for students, where each student collaborates positively and each member is responsible for studying certain problems from the material provided and conveying this material to other group members
