Abstract

This research seeks to study and explore the thoughts of one of the great Islamic scholars from Indonesia, Sheikh Nawawi Al Bantani. His works and thoughts on Islamic education are still being studied to improve and develop Islamic education in Indonesia. Among his thoughts that can be relevant is strengthening the formation of students' character to face the development of the times and the advancement of science and technology. This research is included in the type of library research  by using a descriptive analysis approach to describe the real situation that is currently occurring, then the collected data is then processed according to existing procedures. So as to produce the idea of Sheikh Nawawi's thoughts that are useful and can be used, especially in the world of Islamic education in an effort to shape the character of students. The results of the study show that overall almost all aspects of Islamic educational thought initiated by Sheikh Nawawi focus on character building. So that his thoughts are very relevant to be used today to face the flow of globalization and the advancement of science and technology

Abstract

Whether it is recognized or not, Islamic boarding schools are the oldest educational institutions that have been attached to the journey of Indonesian life since hundreds of years ago and have made many significant contributions to the development of this nation, so it is not surprising that education experts such as Ki Hajar Dewantoro and Dr. Soetomo once aspired to the Islamic boarding school education system model as a national education model. For them, the pesantren education model is an intelligent creation of Indonesian culture that has character and should be maintained and developed. Because many things have not been explored from the education of traditional Islamic boarding schools in the perspective of Indonesian Islamic education, this research was conducted. Specifically, this study aims to describe Traditional Islamic Boarding School Education in the Perspective of Indonesian Islamic Education, describe the vision and mission of traditional Islamic boarding school education, describe the traditional Islamic boarding school education curriculum, and describe the management of traditional Islamic boarding school education The results of this study show (1) that in the perspective of Indonesian Islamic education, traditional Islamic boarding school education is a part of the Separate from national education that provides enlightenment for students integrally, both cognitive (knowlagde), affective (attucude) and psychomotor (skill), (2) That the vision and mission of traditional Islamic boarding school education in the perspective of Indonesian Islamic education are: First, emphasizing the principles of asasul khomsah or five souls, namely sincerity, simplicity, independence, ukuwah islamiyah and freedom. Second, the pattern of kiai relations with students is not only physical, but also inward. Third, Islamic boarding school education, in addition to being directed at the transmission of Islamic knowledge, the maintenance of Islamic traditions and the reproduction of ulama', is also intended to be an alternative for People centered development, Value oriented development, Institution development and Self reliance and sustainability. (3) That the current traditional Islamic boarding school education curriculum does not only focus on our classic books (read: religious science), but also includes more and more general subjects and skills, currently in Islamic boarding school education the science is starting to be unpopular. (4) In terms of institutional management, in the current traditional Islamic boarding school educational institutions, there has been a fundamental change, namely from centralistic, hierarchical and tendency to single fighter leadership to a collective management model such as the foundation model. The recommendations in this study are (1) because the role of traditional Islamic boarding school educational institutions is very important in answering the spiritual crisis of modern humans, or at least as a balance to the tendency of hedonistic lifestyles and dishonesty, its existence needs to receive more serious support from all parties. (2) Because human success is more determined by EQ and SQ factors, while SQ is the main aspect that is the focus of traditional Islamic boarding school education, it is recommended to all parties to continue to develop heart education in order to obtain true life success. (3)Because the educational activities of traditional Islamic boarding schools since its inception have been able to develop positively in society and even have a vital contribution not only in the theological dimension but also social as the main locomotive in the enlightenment of the community, then of course it is a treasure and national wealth that should be preserved in this beloved archipelago

Abstract

Lecturers need to adapt their teaching methods and styles so that students can understand the lessons correctly and well. In this method, lecturers can try using various teaching methods, such as active, collaborative and integrative learning. Social behavior is actions related to all actions that are directly related or linked to the social values ​​that exist in society. To be able to change behavior or morals in humans, it can be done by taking the path of habituation which is continuously implemented. Behavior is not something that is only studied within the scope of education, but behavior can also be realized in a person's personality so that it manifests good morals. Student development is the most real side which includes diversity in development, especially in the world of education. On campus and in society it is part of a complex social structure, which allows it to engage in cooperation and competition. This research uses qualitative methods. Abstract

A complex emotional experience, encompassing feelings of affection, concern and bonding towards someone or something, is known as the feeling of love. In the context of love of God, this often refers to the spiritual dimension where individuals feel a deep and loving love towards the Supreme Being. Love for God can manifest through worship, devotion, and gratitude. This relationship transcends the boundaries of human relationships, leading to a search for spiritual meaning and purpose in life. In Tasawwuf, there are famous figures such as Jalaluddin Rumi who is known for his concept of mahabbah. The concept of love in Jalaluddin Rumi's teachings is a means to achieve perfection, being a self-cleansing process that guides humans towards God. Rumi sees love as a beauty that encourages awareness, turns negativity into positivity, gives peace to a restless soul, provides guidance for a lost heart, becomes a light in the darkness, and as a sweetener in the midst of a sea of bitterness. Love has the ability to provide calmness, positive expectations, compassion, and provide rest for the heart, mind, and can even increase fitness and vigor. The positive energy given by love always affects humans positively, so this is important to study so that the concept of love is not only limited to fellow humans, love for God is the main thing that leads to love for fellow humans. This study uses content or document analysis methods by collecting written data from various sources. The data collected from various sources are then compiled, put together, and analyzed. In the process of data analysis, data that is relevant to the research topic will be prioritized, while data that does not support the research objectives will be ignored. This journal investigates the orientation of jalaludin rumi's Sufism in the concept of mahabbah illallah, exploring the spiritual dimension of his teachings

Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out whether the face-to-face method is still effective in the learning process at Asadiyah Islamic School, Sidodadi sub-district, Wonmulyo district. The research is qualitative research by conducting observations, interviews and documentation using data analysis techniques: data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing verification. The results of the research are that the face-to-face learning method is still effectively implemented at the Asadiyah Islamic School with the level of use of the face-to-face method reaching (90 percent) with the consideration of building student morals. Face-to-face interaction is very effective, while the use of other methods such as the use of information technology is only as a tool

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are often referred to as Islamic educational institutions and at the same time are community service institutions that are considered unique and different from other educational institutions. The history of the growth and development of Islamic boarding schools shows that it has a strong base in the Muslim community. This is because pesantren is an indeginous  institution of the archipelago that is firmly rooted in the society that surrounds it. In the second half of the 20th century, pesantren experienced development, this was because the learning system began to develop into a school or madrasah system, without leaving the conventional system, namely the sorogan and bandongan systems. In the early stages, pesantren prepares its students as Islamic religious teachers or as informal leaders (kyai). In the world of Islamic boarding schools, the term "Five Souls" of Islamic Boarding Schools and the Five Basic Elements of a Islamic Boarding School is famous. Abstract

The teaching and learning process of a teacher is not only as a provider of knowledge that is transferred directly to students, so teachers must be creative and innovative in order to increase the motivation to teach and learn, the results of which can be applied in actions or behaviors that are in accordance with the Qur'an and Al-Hadith. In the concept of Islamic education, a teacher must have a controlled nature, spirit and strong determination. In order to be able to transform various developments in science that are in accordance with the Qur'an and Al-Hadith, so that what has been planned can complete the teaching and learning process on time. Teachers are not just unsung heroes, they have a very large active role in the formation of the personality of a generation, in their hands the country will be seen and the progress or decline of an education. A teacher must have knowledge to give to his students, besides that a teacher must have broad insight because in this way a teacher will be able to master his students properly, because in the Qur'an it is explained which means: "Allah will exalt those who believe and those who are given knowledge several degrees" thus that a person who has knowledge will be raised by Allah SWT. Apart from having knowledge, a teacher must piety which will thus be a mirror for his students. There is a saying that "A teacher is always remembered forever", therefore the nature of piety is reflected in the nature of a teacher. A teacher, besides being knowledgeable, patient, pious, a teacher must also be sincere in carrying out teaching at school because with sincerity the teacher can carry out his activities calmly. Sincerity is absolutely owned in addition to being able to create a conducive learning atmosphere so that in transferring values, other teachings are easy to implement and can be well received by his students.

Abstract

Children are a mandate from Allah SWT that must be guarded and nurtured, their pure hearts are like precious gems. If they are accustomed to evil and left like animals, they will be harmed and destroyed. While maintaining them is through educational efforts and teaching them good morals. Which aims for children to have perfect personalities with a pattern of piety that is useful both for themselves and for society, and are happy and fond of practicing the teachings of Islam in their relationship with the creator, fellow humans with the environment and with themselves in order to achieve happiness and safety in life in the world and in the hereafter. To obtain data in this study, the author uses the library research method, so data collection is carried out by reading, reviewing books, magazines, newspapers and other information materials, which are related to this discussion. In writing this thesis, the author focuses on the problems of Islamic Education and Islamic Psychology. The results related to writing this research are the position of the family in children's education is the determinant or foundation of the child's personality. Children are born in a pure state. From the family environment, one of the dominant ones is that the child's personality will grow and develop. Education carried out by parents through the process of teaching, coaching, training, instilling religious values, nurturing and responsibility to be directed towards a good and noble direction and habits, both physically and spiritually continuously and gradually. The role of Islamic education in shaping the child's personality is emphasized on the aspects of faith, worship, and morals which are applied in the form of exemplary behavior carried out by parents. From this exemplary behavior, children will understand that the implementation of religious teachings must be truly implemented.

Abstract

Holy Quran is a Muslim orientation as Kalamullah (Allah saying), whose the truth is absolute. Holy Quran also applies in all day life and contains the education and guidance about everything related with human life in this world and hereafter. Holy Quran’s education and guidance relates with any concepts needed by human in sailing through their life. Several concepts as guidance, had written in Holy Quran such as Islamic law, science, faith, unity of God (Tauhid), behavior and others. In addition, the holy Quran educates us about the important education in order to achieve insan kamil who have high position in the world and hereafter. As explained that holy Quran contains any aspects of Islamic education and concept which can be a reference of Islamic education material. Holy Quran has an important Tauhid (unity of God) aspect to be learned, because it is the main point of Muslim’s belief. In addition, the education of behavior is also important for all of us. If human has not a good behavior, the world will be damaged. Social societies also often influence in daily life, in order to get a good relation and Islamic unity (ukhuwah islamiyah) inter-faith or other faiths. Based on the explanation above, the researcher whose thesis entitled “Education Aspects in the Holy Quran (An Analysis of Surah Makiyah)” formulates some statements of the problems; a) What kind of Education Aspects inside Q.S. An-Nahl: 106, Q.S.Al-Ankabut: 8, Q.S. Az-Zumar: 9, Q.S. Al-Kafirun:1-6, Q.S. Al-Ikhlas:1-4. b) How the Education Concept inside Q.S. An-Nahl: 106, Q.S.Al-Ankabut: 8, Q.S. Az-Zumar: 9, Q.S. Al-Kafirun:1-6, Q.S. Al-Ikhlas:1-4. The objective of the study is to find out the aspects and the concepts of Islamic education containing in the Q.S An Nahl: 106, Q.S Al Ankabut: 8, Q.S Az Zumar: 9, Q.S Al kafirun:1-6, and Q.S Al Ikhlas:1-4. This research includes in qualitative descriptive research inductively that statement inside several tafsir Al Quran refers to the research object of the theme. The analysis technique which researcher used in analyzing this research is Content Analysis Technique. It is a kind of scientific analysis about content or message of communication with some approaches; they are inductive and deductive in order to analyze the main data. The main data consists of Tafsir Al Misbah, Ibnu Katsir, Al Qurtubi, Al Aisar, Machmud Sakib, and Abuddin Nata which told about the interpretation of Q.S An Nahl: 106, Q.S Al Ankabut: 8, Q.S Az Zumar: 9, Q.S Al kafirun:1-6, and Q.S Al Ikhlas:1-4. The result of this research can be communicable that Q.S An Nahl: 106, Q.S Al Ankabut: 8, Q.S Az Zumar: 9, Q.S Al kafirun: 1-6, and Q.S Al Ikhlas: 1-4, have aspects and concepts of Islamic education as Islamic education materials which have to be learned. The aspects and concepts contain the belief of the unity of God which divided into three parts; tauhid rububiyah, tauhid uluhiyah and tauhid asma wa sifat. Then, it contains of behavior side which all Muslim have to have a good attitude or behavior towards their God, and Muslim moral to their parent. Also with society which can walked out with a good relation and Islamic unity either inter-faith or others faith. All those things have to be learned and taught to Muslim society in order to achieve insan kamil. Then, through the social society, Muslim can form a good Islamic unity either inter-faith or others faith. By banding four aspects of Islamic unity; ukhuwah islamiyah in ubudiyah, in insaniyah, in wathaniyah, and nasab wa dinul islam, peaceful can be born on this earth.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in this life, all activities carried out by humans are educational processes, in this discussion it will be more specific to Islamic education, as we know now moral decline is happening everywhere, students also seem to be accustomed to doing immoral actions such as brawls between students to being involved in drug problems. This can actually be predicted by education practitioners, because the education that exists today emphasizes its students more on their cognitive abilities without being accompanied by abilities in the affective field, so here we will review Islamic education, which in this case will later be known what kind of Islamic education can at least make students return to their nature, namely as caliphs on this earth. Departing from that background, the author then wants to discuss it in the thesis and takes the title Islamic Educational Thoughts According to Sunan Kalijaga. Departing from that, the author then wants to discuss the thoughts of Indonesian Muslim figures and intellectuals who try to formulate Islamic education that is in accordance with the scope of religion, nation and state, such as Sunan Kalijaga. Hopefully, the education that he has taught and passed on to the Indonesian nation will be able to inspire elements implementing education in order to develop Islamic education so that Islamic education will be able to answer the challenges of globalization while still being based on the values ​​of Islamic teachings. The focus of the problem in this study is the concept of education according to Sunan Kalijaga, as well as Sunan Kalijaga's contribution in the field of education. From the focus of the problem that has been mentioned earlier, the author took steps to then analyze or research it with the aim of being able to know, understand, and be able to draw conclusions from Sunan Kalijaga's Islamic educational thoughts, so that the results of the study can be used as a contribution to the implementation and development of Islamic education. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the type of library research. While the data collection method uses the documentation method in order to find sources and data that support this writing. Then from the documentation it is analyzed using the content analysis method and interpretation of the sources and data obtained. The results of the research conducted by the author can be presented here after reviewing Sunan Kalijaga's thoughts on education not only enjoyed by the nobility, the concept of education that he has taught has an important role for a prospective teacher, and combines education and culture as a solution to teaching Islamic education that is easily accepted by all groups. Education is adjusted to the conditions of society, with an approach that is appropriate to society. Sunan Kalijaga's contribution to Islamic education in Indonesia is very much. With his thoughts on the acculturation of education and culture. And until now this culture is still preserved by the community.
