Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the budget preparation process and budget realization reporting are carried out at the East Java Provincial Social Service. As an institution responsible for implementing community welfare programs, the effectiveness of budget management is crucial. However, findings from the Audit Board of Indonesia show that there is still a mismatch between budget planning and implementation, as well as a low level of fund absorption. Using a qualitative approach, this study collected data through interviews, observations, and documentation to explore in depth the obstacles and practices in implementing accrual-based budgeting. The results of the study explain that the biggest challenges come from the lack of human resource capacity, inappropriate planning, and a reporting system that is not yet fully integrated. However, the implementation of the e-budgeting system and the involvement of various parties in planning are positive steps that are starting to be implemented.

Abstract

Social media has become a central channel in modern marketing strategies, particularly through influencer endorsements. Instagram, as a visually driven platform, holds strong appeal especially among young women aged 17 to 23, who are active users. Tasya Farasya, a prominent beauty influencer with millions of followers, frequently endorses products in ways that shape her audience’s perceptions and consumer behavior. Her personal appeal, credibility, and persuasive communication style make each of her endorsements capable of triggering impulsive buying. Interviews with five young female followers of @tasyafarasya revealed that trust in Tasya’s expertise in beauty encourages confidence that the products she reviews are worth purchasing, even without prior need. Signature phrases such as “Tasya Farasya Approved,” compelling visual presentation, and relatable narratives foster emotional connection and a spontaneous urge to buy. Additionally, external factors such as discounts, flash sales, and the convenience of online shopping intensify these impulses, often leading to unplanned purchases. These findings indicate that persuasive endorsements by highly credible influencers generate a powerful mix of trust and urgency. This combination effectively drives impulsive buying behavior, particularly among young women who are susceptible to emotional and visual triggers in digital content.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational cohesiveness and work-life balance on employee productivity at CV. Kodoc Collection. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed, using a survey method for data collection. Sampling was conducted using a probability sampling method with a simple random sampling technique. The research instruments were adapted from previous studies and validated through AVE, Composite Reliability, and Cronbach’s Alpha analysis. The results indicate that organizational cohesiveness, including both social and task dimensions, has a positive but statistically insignificant effect on employee productivity (p-value = 0.103). Conversely, the work-life balance variable shows a positive and significant influence on productivity (p-value = 0.000), with the highest beta coefficient among the independent variables. These findings suggest that balancing work and personal life plays a crucial role in enhancing employee performance and effectiveness. The study recommends that company management prioritize policies and programs that support work-life balance as a strategic effort to sustainably improve employee productivity.

Abstract

Indonesia's textile industry has significant potential for export to the Japanese market, but the utilization of trade cooperation facilitated by APEC is still not optimal. While APEC offers open and barrier-free trade policies, textile industry players in Indonesia are still limited in utilizing these facilities. Several factors hinder this, including a lack of understanding of APEC’s technical policies and the growing competition from countries like Vietnam, China, and Bangladesh. These countries are more aggressive in marketing their textile products to Japan, supported by production efficiency, advanced technology, and stronger bilateral trade partnerships. Moreover, Japan’s market is very selective about the quality and ever-changing fashion trends, making it difficult for many Indonesian industry players to meet the required standards. Non-tariff barriers such as technical certifications, environmental regulations, and product safety standards also pose challenges, especially for SMEs trying to penetrate the Japanese market. Promotion and branding of Indonesian textile products in Japan are still very limited, leading to low recognition of Indonesian products. Therefore, closer synergy between the government and the industry is needed, focusing on enhancing production capacity, product quality, and more intensive promotion. The government must also strengthen economic diplomacy and facilitate research and training collaborations to improve competitiveness. Although APEC is not a regulator, it can serve as a facilitator to encourage more productive cooperation.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of Restaurant Tax in Banda Aceh based on Qanun of Banda Aceh City No. 7 of 2011, as well as the obstacles and its impact on the Local Revenue (PAD). The main focus of this research is on how the restaurant tax collection mechanism is carried out according to the applicable regulations, and the challenges encountered in its implementation. The aim of this research is to explain how well the restaurant tax is implemented in Banda Aceh according to the existing rules, and to identify problems that arise in the tax collection process. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach, gathering information from various sources such as books, articles, and other relevant writings. The findings reveal that, although restaurant taxes play a significant role in increasing PAD, there are still challenges such as a lack of understanding among restaurant business owners regarding their tax obligations and an inefficient reporting system. Some of the problems identified include low awareness of restaurant owners about the importance of tax obligations and the inability of some small business owners to comply with tax regulations correctly. Therefore, it is recommended that the government be more proactive in providing socialization and support to restaurant owners, as well as improving the tax payment and reporting systems to make them easier and more transparent. This research is expected to contribute to the local government in enhancing the efficiency of restaurant tax collection, as well as strengthening public participation in regional development through more optimal tax contribution.
