Abstract

This study aims to identify problems in student management and infrastructure at SDN Gili Anyar and propose solutions to improve student literacy. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The study results show that student literacy at SDN Gili Anyar faces significant challenges due to the lack of library facilities, which have been damaged and unusable for the past three years. In addition, there are no outstanding academic programs supporting student literacy development, although efforts to build student character have been going well. As a solution, this study proposes two alternatives: reading corners and the School Literacy Movement (GLS). Reading corners, according to the study by Anugrah et al. (2022), can serve as a substitute for libraries by utilizing classroom corners to store reading materials. Meanwhile, GLS, as highlighted by Khusna et al. (2022), involves the habit of reading for 15 minutes before lessons begin to foster students' interest in reading. The implementation of these two solutions requires support from teachers and parents in providing books and cultivating reading habits at home. This study emphasizes the importance of optimizing student management and infrastructure to enhance student literacy. Literacy, as the foundation of learning, plays a crucial role in developing students' academic potential and better character in the future.

Abstract

Evaluation research is a research method used to assess the effectiveness, efficiency and impact of a particular programme, policy or intervention. Quantitative research in evaluation research focuses on the collection and analysis of numerical data to provide objective results on programme success. The research process includes setting evaluation objectives, developing hypotheses, research design, collecting data, analysing statistics and interpreting results. Commonly used data collection methods include surveys, tests, structured observations and secondary data. Results from quantitative evaluation research provide valuable input for programme improvement and evidence-based decision-making.

Abstract

The paradigm of education has changed. Previously, education was seen and studied from a social point of view, but now society sees education more from a corporate point of view. Islamic educational institutions have to make strategies, especially to promote their programmes. This article uses a literature approach, where relevant literature is taken based on the topic of discussion. It will discuss various approaches proposed by experts, including distintive capabilities, profit capabilities, focus, communication, and innovation. These strategies must be implemented to ensure the sustainability of Islamic education institutions. However, the cornerstone that Islamic education marketing strategies must be is in accordance with Islamic principles and ethics, helping the cause of good education, and ensuring quality, honesty, and integrity. No matter how difficult it is to implement, there is a strategy. The things that hinder the marketing of these educational services are more temporary and stem from factors such as intense competition among existing schools, bureaucracy and frequently changing regulations, and lack of innovation from management. Undoubtedly, this situation should be prevented by using various methods that can show indications of increasing student interest, such as making clear and consistent regulations, improving the quality of education, and consistent evaluation. The existence of these preventive strategies and solutions will make Islamic education institutions better equipped to promote their educational programmes.

Abstract

The phenomenon of toxic friendship among university students is a significant issue because of its impact on mental health, academic achievement, and individual social abilities. This study aims to identify forms of toxic friendship, provide education about healthy friendship relationships, and develop prevention strategies based on religiosity values. The methods used included psychoeducation and observation, which were applied to students of Bhayangkara University, Greater Jakarta. The intervention results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the impact of toxic friendship and the ability to manage interpersonal relationships in a healthier manner. The programme also emphasised the importance of integrating religiosity values as a foundation in establishing positive friendship relationships. This study recommends ongoing programmes such as communication skills training, support group formation, and psychological consultation services to address these challenges.

Abstract

This paper intends to analyze the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education and Ethics subjects for grade 5 elementary school students. This curriculum is designed to provide a learning space that focuses on developing students' character and competencies holistically. This research uses the literature review method, including analysis of various literature, curriculum documents, and relevant studies related to the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in these subjects. The results of the analysis show that Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes project-based learning, strengthening the values of Pancasila students, and thematic and contextual learning approaches. However, its implementation faces several challenges, such as teacher readiness, availability of supporting facilities, and adaptation of teaching materials. Therefore, this study recommends increased efforts by educators and policymakers to ensure a more inclusive and adaptive implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in accordance with educational goals.

Abstract

It might be difficult to benefit from learning since people occasionally forget the lessons they have learned. Due to several reasons that convey the perception that students are not benefiting from their studies, they are unable to recognize the value of knowledge. According to Q.S. Al- Mujadilah verse 11, this essay explores how to acquire noble dignity through knowledge. Islam, which strongly appreciates and praises knowledge, would have a profound impact on people who study and have that information. People can easily live their life if they have knowledge. All of the data used in this paper was gathered through library research, including books, articles, other discourse materials that connected to the study's issue. The findings of this study allow us to draw the conclusion that knowledge and study are really admirable attributes. Allah says that people who have faith and wisdom will be elevated in rank in Q.S. Al-Mujadilah verse 11. Therefore, knowledge is another means of achieving noble dignity. When someone seeks knowledge sincerely, with Allah's desire, and passionately Faith is the main goal of life, and knowledge is the means to achieving it, thus they both must work together to reach lofty dignity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of differentiated learning in the project-based learning model on the critical thinking abilities of the fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Sumberagung. This research method employs a quasi-experimental approach. The population of this study consists of all 30 students of the fourth grade at SDN 2 Sumberagung . The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. Therefore, the sample consists of 30 students. Data collection techniques involve using a test, that is, test questions becoming the research instrument. The hypothesis analysis requirements consist of tests for data normality and homogeneity, and the data analysis technique employs the t- test. The results of the normality test show that the post-test scores for both the control class and the experimental class are normally distributed, with a significance value of 0.097 > 0.05 for the experiment class and 0.148 > 0.05 for the control class. Meanwhile, the homogeneity test results show that the probability value of 0.703 > 0.05 indicates that both groups have homogeneous variances. Furthermore, the results of the average difference test between the post-test scores of the control class and the experimental class indicate that the average post-test critical thinking abilities of students in the experiment class are higher than that of the control class, namely 78.87 > 65.40. The independent t-test result is also significant, with 0.001 < 0.005. Accordingly, in conclusion, differentiated learning in the project-based learning model influences the critical thinking abilities of the fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Sumberagung.

Abstract

This study aims to ascertain the impact of Picture Card Media on the foundational reading abilities of Class II students at SD Negeri 21 Sorong Regency. This study employs a pre-experimental design. The study sample consisted of 14 students. The data collection instruments employed were performance tests and observations. The data analysis techniques comprise validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, and hypothesis testing. The reliability test results yielded a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.853, indicating a high level of reliability. The results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test on the pretest data yielded a significance value of 0.379, which is greater than 0.05, while the posttest data yielded a significance value of 0.865, which is also greater than 0.05. The hypothesis test yielded a of 21.522 with dk = n-1 (14-1 = 13), resulting in a 2,160 sig 2 (tailed) value of 0.000. The results yielded a value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Therefore, the sig value is accepted and rejected, indicating that there is an influence of the use of picture-word card media on the initial reading ability of class II students at SD Negeri 21 Sorong Regency.

Abstract

Higher education is not only a means of knowledge transformation but also a dynamizer of society. Islamic religious universities spread from Banda Aceh to Jayapura as well as a means of community development. Various forms of programs carried out in order to show a more technical form of Islamic moderation. Scientific development includes the opening of varied majors that give students the flexibility to learn science technically. This paper shows that Islamic religious universities also develop programs that do not focus on universities. However, at the same time, there are challenges that need to be overcome so that the development of Islamic religious higher education is not only in public institutions but also in the private sector.

Abstract

This study examines how the concept of Tarbiyah education from the perspective of M. Yusuf Qardhawi affects today's world. Tarbiyah education, which emphasizes character building and moral principles, has great potential to be applied in modern education that is faced with many challenges, such as technological advancement and globalization. This research investigates Qardhawi's thoughts on holistic and integrative education. It also investigates how these principles can be applied in today's school curriculum. The research shows that Qardhawi's concept of education is not only relevant, but also essential for forming an intelligent and morally strong generation. In addition, the research found challenges and opportunities in the implementation of Tarbiyah education, and also provided suggestions on how Islamic values can be incorporated into contemporary education. Consequently, this study is expected to contribute to the development of an educational system that is more in line with the demands of the times and strong moral principles.
