Abstract

Pregnancy is a process in which a woman carries a fetus after it occurs. In the process of labor, anxiety often arises in the prospective mother so it is recommended that the mother do light exercise such as yoga. Yoga is a recommended choice in preparation for labor, because this exercise is able to control breathing and relax the mind. Yoga breathing exercises will accelerate the blood flow rate so that oxygen is fulfilled for the mother and her fetus. In addition, yoga is also able to control anxiety so that it can achieve better health during childbirth. Training activities were given to 20 pregnant women participants at the Matahari clinic. The increase in knowledge of PkM participants was assessed based on the average pre- and post-test scores after being given material, demonstrations, and direct training. Yoga exercises for pregnant women were carried out based on standard SOPs, which were assisted by the PkM team in their implementation. The results of the training showed that PkM participants were able to carry out yoga exercises according to the SOP. In addition, participants also received direct benefits in the form of physical and mental health. Through this training, it can also be seen that there has been an increase in participants' knowledge about yoga exercises in overcoming anxiety with a pre-test score of 5.95 to a post-test score of 7.55. Yoga exercises have been proven to improve participants' knowledge and skills in carrying out yoga exercises which are useful in maintaining health and controlling anxiety when giving birth.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the country faced a triple burden of malnutrition, including undernutrition, overnutrition, and micronutrient imbalances. The phenomena of wasting and underweight among toddlers were influenced by factors such as parental education, maternal knowledge, environmental conditions, health issues, awareness of nutrition, and the nutritional intake of toddlers. This activity aimed to improve knowledge about balanced nutrition to address wasting and underweight issues, as well as to monitor the nutritional status of toddlers in Lestari Dadi Pegajahan Village. The implementation method involved providing education on balanced nutrition to combat wasting and underweight, using health promotion media such as leaflets, PowerPoint presentations, and banners. Before the material presentation and leaflet distribution, participants completed a pretest about balanced nutrition and toddlers' nutritional status. After the education session, the nutritional status of toddlers was measured using a baby scale, weight scale, and microtoise. The measurement results were compared to the data from the previous month. Additionally, nutrition consultations were conducted with participants, and a posttest was administered at the end of the activity to measure changes in participants' knowledge. The posttest and pretest used the same set of 20 questions. The results showed an increase in the number of mothers with good knowledge, rising to 14 participants (70%) out of 20. Monitoring toddlers' nutritional status revealed 2 cases (10%) of underweight, 6 cases (30%) of wasting, and 12 cases (60%) of normal nutrition. In conclusion, this education activity successfully improved participants' knowledge, which they were able to apply in daily life.

Abstract

The skin plays a role in protecting bones and muscles, which are generally soft and elastic. In order for the skin to be well protected, internal and external care is needed. Internal skin care is obtained by consuming healthy foods. While external skin care is through the use of preparations directly on the skin. Several types of skin damage occur due to exposure to free radicals, such as exposure to UV rays. To avoid these dangers, a lotion that can act as an antioxidant is needed. Papaya seeds are rich in antioxidants that can increase skin moisture so that they are recommended as a basic ingredient for making lotion. The purpose of this socialization is to educate the public to be more concerned about health by using the right skin moisturizing lotion. PKM activities were carried out through socialization attended by 50 people around the Pantai Labu sub-district.
