Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) model using the World Café technique in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SDN Kedungcangkring Jabon, Sidoarjo. The research was motivated by the low level of student engagement and learning interest in PAI, which has largely been dominated by the lecture method. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the application of IBL with the World Café technique creates a more active, participatory, and collaborative classroom atmosphere. Students are directly involved in the process of knowledge construction through group discussions, idea rotation, presentations, and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange. The innovation not only improves students’ understanding of the subject matter but also enhances 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and creativity. Several challenges were identified, including time limitations, heterogeneous student abilities, and insufficient initial readiness. However, these obstacles can be addressed through careful planning, intensive guidance, and continuous teacher facilitation. Thus, the application of IBL with the World Café technique has proven effective in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study explores the interrelation between national resilience and gender equality with a particular focus on women’s participation in the defense sector. The research aims to critically examine how the constitutional and legal framework in Indonesia accommodates gender equality and what reforms are necessary to enhance inclusiveness in the defense field. Employing a qualitative approach with a normative juridical method, the study analyzes relevant constitutional provisions, statutory regulations, and secondary legal sources to identify both opportunities and structural barriers in policy implementation. The findings indicate that women’s participation in the defense sector remains minimal, primarily due to entrenched social constructions, discriminatory regulations, and the absence of affirmative legal measures that encourage gender mainstreaming. These limitations not only restrict women’s access to strategic positions but also weaken the holistic realization of national resilience. The study concludes that gender-sensitive constitutional reform is urgently required to ensure equality, foster inclusive participation, and strengthen national resilience in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the book Manhaj Zawi al-Nazhar by Sheikh Mahfuz al-Tarmasi. The method used in this research is descriptive-analytical, focusing on how the book's systematics and methodology (dirasah ma fi al-kitab) are structured, rather than emphasizing dirasah ma haula al-Kitab, which encompasses the author's broader perspective. The results of the study indicate that the systematic approach used by Sheikh Mahfuzh in writing the book Manhaj Zawi al-Nazhar is similar to that of Al-Suyuthi, namely a combination of Ibn Shalah's method of prioritizing the classification of Hadith based on their quality, followed by the sequence and branches of ulum al-Hadith according to Ibn Hajar. The difference is that Sheikh Mahfuzh breaks down the discussion of the branches of Ulum al-Hadith into 81 branches, from the 69 branches of Ulum al-Hadith found in Al-Suyuthi's Alfiyah. The method of explaining the book Manhaj Zawi al-Nazhar, as seen from the structure of the explanation, uses the detailed explanation method or comprehensive explanation. However, when viewed from the approach used in the explanation, the book Manhaj Zawi al-Nazhar employs a linguistic explanation method, which can also be referred to as a comprehensive explanation method. This research has the urgency of enriching Islamic studies in the field of methodology. By enriching the methods used in Islamic studies, this will lead to an increase in Islamic scientific knowledge.

Abstract

The rapid growth of information technology, particularly social media, has transformed various aspects of life, including Islamic education. Platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, and TikTok provide new opportunities to deliver Islamic teachings creatively and contextually, especially to younger audiences. This study aims to analyze the potential of social media in supporting Islamic education and to identify the challenges it presents. The research employed a library-based method by reviewing books, scholarly articles, and relevant previous studies, followed by a qualitative analysis to synthesize findings. The results indicate that social media offers several benefits: expanding the reach of Islamic educational institutions, introducing innovative learning strategies, reinforcing religious values, and enabling flexible preaching activities. However, it also raises concerns such as moral decline, cyberbullying, reduced concentration, lower interest in learning, negative behavioral patterns, and excessive dependence on technology. Despite these challenges, social media can enhance Islamic education by widening access to resources, fostering collaboration, increasing motivation, and promoting learner autonomy. In conclusion, social media has significant potential to strengthen Islamic education if utilized wisely. The active involvement of teachers, parents, and institutions is essential to ensure its alignment with Islamic values and its positive contribution to students’ character development.

Abstract

The digital transformation of the business environment requires accounting systems to dynamically adapt to changing conditions and increasingly complex informational demands. Modern accounting systems no longer function solely as transaction recording tools, but have evolved into managerial information systems that support strategic decision-making. This article integrates conceptual knowledge of basic accounting theories with the practical implementation of accounting systems, highlighting the critical roles of human resources (HR) and technology. A literature review approach is employed to examine contemporary developments in accrual-based accounting systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and cloud computing. Findings indicate that the effectiveness of modern accounting systems heavily depends on two key pillars: the digital literacy and competencies of accounting professionals, and the technological infrastructure that enables real-time data integration and process automation. The synergy between human capital and technology creates systems that are not only efficient but also responsive to regulatory requirements, transparency demands, and accountability standards. This study provides significant implications for educational institutions, practitioners, and policymakers in designing accounting curricula and HR development strategies aligned with the digital era

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand image and product quality on the switching behavior of iPhone users, while incorporating Islamic values as an ethical framework in consumer behavior. The research background is based on the increasing dynamics of brand switching among younger generations, particularly in the highly competitive smartphone industry. The study employed a quantitative approach with data collected through non-participant observation and structured questionnaires, covering respondent demographics, brand image, product quality, and switching tendencies. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression to examine the relationships among variables. The findings reveal that brand image does not have a significant effect on switching behavior, while product quality emerges as the dominant factor influencing consumers’ decisions to remain loyal or switch to alternative brands. Simultaneously, brand image and product quality were found to exert a significant interactive effect on switching behavior, indicating their complementary roles in shaping consumer perceptions. From an Islamic perspective, the findings underscore that brand image and product quality should align with the principles of honesty, fairness, and compliance with halal–tayyib standards. The integration of functional and ethical aspects is thus essential not only for reducing switching behavior but also for fostering sustainable consumer loyalty.

Abstract

This study focuses on two major subsystems in Arabic linguistics, namely phonology and lexicology, emphasizing their significance in the formation and comprehension of the Arabic language system. The research employs a library-based approach with a descriptive-analytical method. The discussion on lexicology includes the analysis of lexemes, lexons, and allolexes, as well as various mechanisms of word formation such as zero derivation, affixation, reduplication, shortening, back-derivation, and compounding. Meanwhile, phonology is examined on two levels: phonetics, which studies the physical properties of sounds without considering their semantic functions, and phonemics, which analyzes sounds as the minimal distinctive units that differentiate meaning. The findings indicate that a comprehensive understanding of sound structures (phonology) and vocabulary structures (lexicology) is essential for mastering Arabic in a systematic, effective, and functional manner. The main contribution of this research lies in affirming the interrelation between phonemes and lexemes in shaping the Arabic language system, while also highlighting the relevance of theoretical library research in deepening knowledge of Arabic as a complex and meaning-rich communication system.

Abstract

This study examines the thought of Ali Shariati (1933–1977) as a contemporary Islamic intellectual who emphasized Islam as an emancipatory ideology. The study aims to uncover Shariati’s contributions to the development of theological discourse, his role in Iran’s socio-political liberation, and the implications of his thought for the responsibilities of Muslim intellectuals. The research employs a qualitative methodology with a historical-philosophical approach, tracing Shariati’s intellectual biography, mapping the influences shaping his ideas, and interpreting the ideological meaning of his thought within the socio-political context of Iran. The findings reveal that Shariati integrated the concepts of ummah and imamah as the foundation of revolutionary theology, stressed the social responsibility of intellectuals, and utilized his writings and lectures as instruments for social and political transformation. His thought not only influenced young generations and students in Iran but also offered theoretical and practical contributions to understanding Islam as an agent of change and liberation.

Abstract

This research analyzes the crucial role of KH. Zia Ul Haramein's visionary leadership in integrating digital technology at Pondok Pesantren Darus Sunnah, exploring solutions for digitalization challenges, and identifying supporting and inhibiting factors for its implementation. Employing a qualitative case study method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, this study applies Burt Nanus's theory of visionary leadership. The findings indicate that successfully guided the pesantren's digital technology integration through key leadership roles and adaptive human resources support. This research confirms that visionary leadership can be an effective model for managing the digital transformation of traditional educational institutions without sacrificing noble Islamic values.

Abstract

The Islamic Religious Education Curriculum (PAI) plays a crucial role in shaping students’ character and tolerance attitudes within the context of cultural and religious diversity. This study aims to evaluate the PAI curriculum at SMPN 11 Sungai Ambawang by analyzing the Core Competencies (KI) and Basic Competencies (KD) from a multicultural perspective. The research employed a qualitative approach with document analysis of KI and KD, complemented by teacher interviews and classroom observations. The findings reveal that KI and KD incorporate multicultural values such as tolerance and respect for differences; however, these remain conceptual and require reinforcement through clearer and more practical competency achievement indicators. The main challenges in curriculum implementation include limited teacher capacity and a lack of multicultural-supporting learning resources. The study recommends revising KI and KD to explicitly integrate multicultural principles and enhancing teacher training and development of contextual, inclusive learning materials. The implications of this study are significant for developing a PAI curriculum responsive to social diversity in Indonesia.
