Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the mudharabah contract in micro-enterprise financing by Islamic banks in Indonesia. Mudharabah is a profit-sharing contract that theoretically represents an ideal instrument in the Islamic financial system, as it emphasizes justice, cooperation, and risk-sharing. However, in practice, mudharabah financing remains less dominant compared to murabahah-based financing. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method using a literature review approach, drawing from various scientific articles published in the last five years and reference books published in the last ten years. The findings indicate that although mudharabah holds significant potential in empowering micro-enterprises, its implementation still faces several challenges, including low Islamic financial literacy, regulatory and incentive frameworks that are not yet supportive, a transactional business culture, limited monitoring and assistance capacity, and high financing risk. Additionally, the dominance of murabahah-based financing reflects that Islamic banks have not fully utilized the potential of mudharabah as a superior financing instrument to promote Islamic financial inclusion. Recommended strategies include strengthening Islamic financial literacy, utilizing digital technology, and developing community-based mudharabah products. Through synergy among stakeholders, mudharabah has great potential to become a key instrument in strengthening micro-enterprise inclusively and sustainably within the Islamic economic framework.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of spinner-based learning media in fiqh instruction within Islamic education. The initiative arises from the need for innovative media that can increase student engagement and improve comprehension of materials often perceived as difficult. Spinner media, with its interactive and adaptable design, is considered a tool capable of attracting attention and fostering active learning. A qualitative case study approach was employed, utilizing observations, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The data were analyzed through stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to ensure validity and reliability. The findings reveal that the integration of spinner-based learning media significantly enhanced student participation, enthusiasm, and learning outcomes. Prior to its implementation, fiqh lessons were characterized by monotonous activities and low levels of concentration. However, the use of spinner media transformed the learning atmosphere into a more engaging and effective process, minimizing challenges while maximizing student involvement. These results suggest that spinner-based media serves not only as an instructional aid but also as a motivational tool that supports meaningful and enjoyable learning in Islamic education.

Abstract

Communication plays a crucial role, especially for women who often face gender challenges and societal stereotypes. Leila Khaled, a Palestinian female figure, became a symbol of resistance through her brave actions in the name of struggle. This study examines the role of women's communication in the struggle through the perspective of the Qur'an, focusing on the case of Leila Khaled. This study aims to broaden the understanding of women's contributions to history and political struggle and enrich the discussion of Islamic values ​​that support women's active participation. With a qualitative approach and literature study, this study explores how women use communication in the struggle, the challenges they face, and the successes they achieve. The results of this study are expected to provide new insights into effective communication strategies in the struggle, which can be adopted by contemporary movements. In addition, this study also strengthens the understanding of Islam's views on the role of women and makes a significant contribution to the literature on the role of women's communication in the struggle.

Abstract

This qualitative study, using a case study method, aims to explore the application of the principles of halal and thayyib foods from QS. Al-Baqarah: 168 regarding students' health at MI Terpadu Lailatul Qodar. Using observation and in-depth interviews, the study focused on the consumption patterns and perceptions held by teachers and students and curricular and extracurricular elements of nutrition literacy, incorporating Qur'anic teachings at MI Terpadu Lailatul Qodar. The results showed that the school gave students halal-thayyib snacks and lunches and had rules against bringing pocket money, which helped stop the everyday unhealthy snacking habits at that age. Teachers think that Thayyib includes nutrition, hygiene, health, and the spiritual side of academics. Students can show that they understand unhealthy food and its risks based on their experiences when there is less formality. Life skills classes like Cooking and Market Day help reinforce these values even more. In fact, problems come from parents who give their kids money and kids who like tasty snacks. This study concludes that while the holistic integration of religious values is effective, strong synergy between the school and family is critical for lasting behavioral change.

Abstract

Indonesia, with a population of 284.4 million as of March 2024, continues to face poverty challenges, with 25.22 million people (9.03%) living below the poverty line. Zakat, Infak, and Sedekah (ZIS) possess substantial potential as instruments for poverty alleviation and socio-economic empowerment, yet their implementation remains suboptimal. This study aims to analyze the management of ZIS, covering collection, distribution, and utilization, examine strategies for improving community welfare, and assess their alignment with the principles of Maqasid al-Shariah as formulated by Imam al-Syatibi. Employing a descriptive qualitative method with sociological and normative approaches, the research draws on primary data obtained through interviews and observations at LAZDA RIZKI Jember, complemented by secondary data from institutional documents and relevant literature. The findings reveal that the ZIS management at LAZDA RIZKI, including innovative programs such as the Creative Empowerment Center (Balai Kreatif), systematically reflects the realization of the five core objectives of Maqasid al-Shariah: protection of religion, life, intellect, progeny, and wealth. This study contributes to the discourse on ZIS governance from a Maqasid-based perspective and offers practical insights for zakat institutions in optimizing their role in advancing social welfare.

Abstract

Tiktok Shop is one proof of increasingly sophisticated technological developments in the realm of buying and selling online. But behind the advantages offered, there are still things that are detrimental to the community, namely buying an item that is only based on wishes not only for daily needs. This study aims to determine the consumptive behavior of Muslim students in Madura as Z Gen in using the Tiktok Shop application while looking based on the perspective of Sharia Maqashid. This study uses qualitative methods with descriptive forms. The data collection techniques used are observations, interviews, and literature reviews. There are three criteria for determining the informant used: First, Muslim students in Madura; Second, students who have Tiktok applications; Third, have bought goods in the Tiktok Shop application. The results showed the occurrence of consumptive behavior because it was caused by several internal and external factors, namely: 1) Internal factors: Age and lifestyle, 2) External factors: free postage vouchers, discount vouchers, and cheaper prices. These factors, if viewed based on the perspective of Sharia Maqashid, Muslim students in Madura in buying an item not based on the level of priority and do not refine the principle of hifz an-nafs (maintaining the soul) and Hifz al-Mal (maintaining property) because it is influenced and controlled by a desire for pleasure and not based on needs, resulting in consumptive behavior

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of discipline value internalization in religious activities of students at MI Assalafiyah, Tegal City, to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors, and to analyze its impact on students’ character formation. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was employed. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and parents, as well as documentation of religious activities. The findings reveal that the internalization of discipline values is carried out through structured religious practices such as shalat dhuha, tadarus (Qur’an recitation), sholawatan, and the study of the Aqidatul Awwam text. Discipline is instilled through habituation, teacher role modeling, assigning responsibilities to students, and parental support. The main supporting factors include the consistency of activity schedules, teachers’ exemplary roles, and active family involvement. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consist of differences in students’ maturity levels, fatigue from routines, and the suboptimal internal awareness of discipline among students. The implementation has shown positive impacts on students’ character formation, particularly in time discipline, responsibility, independence, courtesy, and behavioral consistency both at school and at home. This study highlights that religious activities integrated into school life can serve as an effective medium for instilling character values, especially discipline, in a holistic and sustainable manner.

Abstract

The pattern of Islamic religious understanding formed in prisons often differs from that which develops in the general community. Outside of prisons, religious understanding is influenced by tradition, family environment, and open access to religious education. Inside prisons, religious understanding is shaped through formal and structured guidance programs. The purpose of this study is to describe the patterns of religious understanding among juvenile inmates at the Class I Prison in Medan and to what extent the rehabilitation programs implemented can bring about changes in their religious understanding and attitudes. This study employs a qualitative research method. It was found that after participating in the rehabilitation programs, there was an increase in religious awareness and practice.

Abstract

The utilization of innovative learning media is one of the keys in increasing students' interest in learning, especially in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. This research is motivated by the need to explore the effectiveness of calligraphy media in teaching Asmaul Husna material at the elementary school level. The purpose of this research is to find out the strategy of utilizing calligraphy media in increasing students' interest in learning and identifying its advantages and challenges. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation at SDN Gunung Sekar 2 Sampang. The results showed that calligraphy media is effective in attracting students' attention, increasing active participation, and fostering sustainable interest in learning. The strategies used include imitating and creating calligraphy independently, which builds students' cognitive, affective and motor aspects. Although there are challenges such as differences in students' abilities and limited tools, teachers are able to overcome them through adaptive approaches. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of art integration in religious education to create fun and meaningful learning.

Abstract

This research seeks to evaluate the role of the Good Deeds Troop Community’s activities in fostering virtuous character within modern society in Jember Regency, focusing on three core aspects: the relationship with God (Hablu Min Allah), interpersonal relationships (Hablu Min Annas), and the relationship with the natural environment (Hablu Min al-Alam). The central issue addressed in this study is the extent to which community initiatives contribute to shaping positive character in the midst of rapid modernization. Utilizing a qualitative approach through a case study method, data were gathered from in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation involving both community members and local residents. The findings demonstrate that the community's activities significantly enhance spiritual practices and religious awareness (Hablu Min Allah), reinforce social values such as cooperation and mutual care (Hablu Min Annas), and encourage environmental responsibility (Hablu Min al-Alam). This study highlights that active participation in community-based initiatives plays a crucial role in cultivating noble character traits that align with both religious teachings and societal values prevalent in Jember Regency.
