Abstract

Cloud computing service security is a crucial aspect in managing data and information technology infrastructure. Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides security features such as AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) to control access to resources. However, the lack of user understanding in implementing this system increases the risk of data leaks and cyber attacks. This community service activity aims to improve digital security literacy, especially in the use of AWS IAM. The training was held online on February 2, 2025 via Zoom and was attended by 24 participants from a total of 30 registrants. The methods used include theory and direct practice using an AWS Academy account. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests as well as a Google Form survey. The results showed an increase in understanding with an average pre-test score of 60 increasing to 85 in the post-test. In addition, 92% of participants stated that the material presented was relevant, 88% felt the training was practically useful, and 90% were more confident in managing their AWS accounts. These results show that education about AWS security is essential to reduce the risk of misconfiguration and improve the security of cloud-based systems.

Abstract

One of the objectives of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) of the independent curriculum is to provide students with additional knowledge and skills from their surrounding environment. Community service was carried out for 70 10th grade students of SMA WR Supratman 1 Medan. The purpose of the Community Service activity is to provide training in making ecoprint tote bags as an implementation of the P5 independence curriculum, and to provide training in e-commerce-based marketing strategies. The benefits of this Community Service activity are that students as the younger generation have the creativity to be able to create their own work independently, namely making ecoprint tote bags that have a selling value that can be used as an entrepreneurial opportunity, and students learn more about the benefits of e-commerce as one of the digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

Eggs are a type of food from poultry that is most consumed by the Indonesian people. Eggs for consumption are the most common eggs on the market. Egg scanning is a form of processing with a combination of certain herbs and boiling. Pindang eggs are a traditional egg processed product that uses protein tanning ingredients The activity was carried out in Aron village, Aceh Besar with the aim of introducing and socializing the use of tea powder and galangal as auxiliary ingredients that can be used in making pindang eggs. This service activity is carried out in several stages, namely counseling and socialization as well as training and assistance to the village community. The results of this service activity went smoothly and the community really appreciated this activity with a lot of public interest to participate and participate in this service activity. Many people are actively discussing and involved with the service team related to community empowerment through this training so that the community gets information and knowledge about the use of tea powder and galangal.

Abstract

Economic pressures require hard work to overcome them. This can be done through innovation and creativity to find job opportunities that can be economically profitable, but also useful for society, especially in the context of church congregations. Related to that, one important effort is training to make useful dishwashing soap, but also a business opportunity in relation to the need for the use of dishwashing soap in society. Based on that, STT ATI carries out training activities to make dishwashing soap to equip lecturers and students to answer the needs of the church. The methods used in this training are presentations, tutorials and practice. The results of this activity are that the participants understand the material presented, and gain direct experience in the practice of making dishwashing soap. In addition, the participants gain benefits and economic advantages from the activity.

Abstract

Hypercholesterolemia is common in the elderly population because it is related to the environment, genetic factors and comorbidities. In all age groups, men and women over 60 years have the highest prevalence of high serum cholesterol levels, high total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein levels predict the risk of coronary heart disease in patients over 60 years. Preventive efforts that can be made are through early detection to detect hypercholesterolemia in the elderly through Elderly Gymnastics which can affect body balance, improve the physical and psychological health of the elderly, can reduce insomnia and reduce symptoms of stress and depression. Community service carried out at the Bilante Village Posyandu, the working area of ​​the Larompong Health Center, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province, was successfully implemented. This activity was carried out by examining the blood cholesterol levels of the elderly pre-post elderly gymnastics, followed by elderly gymnastics which was carried out once a week for four consecutive weeks. Elderly gymnastics has been shown to reduce hypercholesterolemia if done for 30-60 minutes each time. Routine cholesterol checks and elderly exercise can increase the elderly's knowledge about hypercholesterolemia and they can adapt to healthy living behaviors. Elderly people who maintain their physical condition well and feel comfortable in living their lives will have an impact on the quality of life of the elderly.

Abstract

Entrepreneurs are individuals or groups engaged in business activities to produce goods or services. To increase product visibility, they need to implement marketing strategies, including the use of digital media. However, many UMKM actors in Kayen District, Pati Regency, still rely on manual marketing methods or word-of-mouth promotion. To address this issue, Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LP2M) of STMIK AKI Pati organized a digital marketing training program for local UMKM. The goal is to enhance their ability to market their products or services effectively through digital platforms. The training is conducted in three stages: first, introducing the basic concepts of digital marketing; second, teaching participants how to use graphic design software such as Canva and Photoshop to create logos and promotional flyers; and third, guiding them on how to register and use e-commerce platforms like Shopee and Tokopedia, as well as how to advertise effectively on social media. This program aims to help UMKM actors in Kayen understand the importance of digital marketing and develop more effective strategies to promote and sell their products online.

Abstract

The growing volume of household organic waste poses a serious challenge to environmental sustainability. Through this community service program, STMIK Kaputama offers an educational and practical solution by involving first-year students in Eco Enzyme production training. Eco Enzyme, a fermented product derived from organic kitchen waste, has been proven to provide various benefits such as an eco-friendly cleaner, liquid fertilizer, and natural deodorizer, serving as an effective alternative to harmful chemical-based products. During the student orientation program (PKKMB), 300 students participated in a series of activities, including environmental education, fermentation practice, and harvesting of Eco Enzyme. The results demonstrated improvements in students’ knowledge and skills, with the expectation of long-term behavioral changes in managing waste at its source. The program successfully produced more than 300 liters of Eco Enzyme and significantly reduced organic waste disposal to landfills. More importantly, it cultivated environmentally conscious student leaders. Engaging first-year students in this real-world initiative serves as a strategic effort to instill sustainability values and foster a culture of environmental responsibility both within the campus and the broader community.

Abstract

The village has potential natural resources in agriculture and aquaculture ponds. Potential agriculture and ponds use a rainfed system to irrigate rice fields and ponds. In addition, Kambingan Village already has a permanent irrigation network. Cerme people certainly understand the access to Kambingan Village, but people from outside Cerme Subdistrict certainly need signage to Kambingan Village so they don't miss it when visiting the village. The type of road pavement entering the village is divided into 2 (two) types, namely paving pavement and asphalt pavement. The condition of the asphalt pavement is good, while the condition of the paving pavement is bumpy. The activity method in community service in Kambingan Village is the science and technology simulation method, where students redesign signage using design applications to create design concepts and engineering equipment for the fabrication and installation of signage. The stages carried out include identifying problems in the field, coordinating with the Village Chief, redesigning the signage board, fabricating the signage board, removing the old signage board, and installing new signage at a point determined by the Village Chief. The expected result is that the community gets information on directions to enter Kambingan Village through the installation of a new signage board and adds color or karaktek to the road shoulder from Cerme District to Benjeng District.

Abstract

Blood donation is a critical healthcare activity that saves millions of lives worldwide. This community service activity aimed to increase blood stock availability and raise awareness about voluntary blood donation through Lions Club Medan Angkasa's initiative "Setetes Darah, Sejuta Kasih dan Harapan" (A Drop of Blood, Million Love and Hope). The blood donation drive was conducted on November 26, 2023, at Manhattan Times Square 3rd floor, Medan. The activity included health screening, blood collection, and educational sessions about the importance of regular blood donation. A total of 150 voluntary donors participated in the event, successfully collecting 135 bags of blood (340cc each) after medical screening. The results showed high community participation and awareness about the importance of blood donation. This initiative demonstrates the effectiveness of community-based organizations in supporting healthcare systems and promoting voluntary blood donation culture in society.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and the increasing need for energy are challenges as well as opportunities in community empowerment efforts, especially in rural areas. Providing targeted and applicable training on the use of digital technology and energy savings based on solar panels is a solution to overcome these problems. The training was conducted on 25 PKK mothers in the Brendil Ngawi hamlet. The results of this training showed an increase in knowledge about digital technology and an increase in knowledge about solar panels by more than 50% of the total participants. It is hoped that after this training, PKK mothers will be able to apply this knowledge in their respective household lives so that they can form independent and self-sufficient families.
