Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that cause fluctuations in income of conventional transportation drivers amidst the increasing existence of online transportation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a data collection method through interviews with several drivers in Bandung. The analysis technique used is a thematic analysis based on categorized interview data. The results of the study indicate that fluctuations in the income of conventional drivers are not only caused by direct competition with online transportation. But also, influenced by internal factors such as the age of the drivers, the majority of whom are advanced, limitations in the use of technology, and the assumptions of community groups that cause negative personal stigmas against online transportation drivers. Other factors such as consumer demand that tends to decrease for conventional transportation services, dependence on regular customers, non-strategic base locations, and financial distribution systems such as operational costs also affect the small net income received. Overall, this study shows that the problem of income fluctuations is closely related to social structures, technology, and economic resources that are not evenly distributed.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling (BK) is one of the important components in the education system that aims to help students develop their potential optimally, both in academic, personal, social, and career aspects. At the junior high school level, BK services play a strategic role in shaping character, overcoming the problems of adolescent development, and guiding students in planning their future education. Therefore, improving the quality of BK services in SMPN 18 Jambi City is an urgent need. Efforts that can be made include opening counseling services outside of class hours, increasing the number of BK teachers in accordance with ideal standards, ensuring BK teachers have an appropriate educational background, and increase student literacy regarding the role and function of BK services. Thus, BK services are expected to play an optimal role in supporting student development, both in terms of academic and non-academic. Based on the results of research and analysis that has been conducted regarding the implementation of guidance and counseling services (BK) at SMPN 18 Jambi City, it can be concluded that BK services in this school have a significant role in supporting student academic, personal, and career development. BK services help students overcome various problems, such as low learning motivation, interpersonal conflicts, and future planning, to continue their education to the next stage.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive review of feminist theory and practice as well as gender studies in a contemporary context. Through an in-depth literature analysis, this study examines the historical development of feminism, various schools of feminist thought, and the contribution of gender studies in understanding the complexity of gender relations. The research also explores central issues in feminism and gender studies, including gender representation, gender-based violence, gender inequality across various spheres, and intersectionality. Research findings indicate that feminism and gender studies continue to evolve and provide an important framework for analyzing and addressing gender inequalities. This study emphasizes the importance of an inclusive and intersectional approach in understanding womens and mens experiences, as well as the need for collective action to achieve sustainable gender equality.

Abstract

Bilingual education plays an important role in improving students' language competence and cultural understanding, the success of which depends on interactive, contextual, and developmentally appropriate learning media. This research aims to design bilingual-based learning media that is in accordance with the characteristics of students and the curriculum, as well as to analyze its effectiveness and implementation in the learning process.This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of literature review. Data collection is done by literature review through identification, collection, and selection of literature. The results obtained in this study are that in the context of bilingual learning, the media not only functions to provide material understanding for students but also as a means to increase students' vocabulary and skills in foreign languages, especially English. Therefore, the right learning media is needed to convey the material so that the learning objectives are achieved optimally.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the stages of development modernization that occurred in Jatiroke Village, Sumedang Regency in 2025. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach and literature study method, this study analyzes the village development process based on the theory of economic growth stages proposed by W.W. Rostow. The results of the study indicate that Jatiroke Village has passed the traditional stage and the prerequisite stage for take-off, and is at the take-off stage. This indication is reflected in the development of physical infrastructure, strengthening the local economy through MSMEs, and the implementation of village information systems. However, a number of obstacles such as budget limitations, community participation, and digitalization that have not had a direct impact on welfare are important notes. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize development planning, increase investment, and industrialization strategies to encourage Jatiroke Village towards a more mature stage of development.

Abstract

This research analyzes the rational choices of impoverished rice farmers in Ngawi Regency during paceklik, a critical period with no income from harvests. Using qualitative methods and James Coleman's Rational Choice Theory, this study identifies the farmers' strategies in extreme limitations. Farmers are proven to be rational actors who prioritize survival, manifested in: 1) tight spending control and personal food reserves; 2) seeking supplementary work; 3) taking on "pay-one-debt-with-another" loans for urgent needs and production capital; and 4) utilizing social capital from family networks. These choices, though often risky and perpetuating the cycle of poverty, are the farmers' optimal decisions for survival amidst structural constraints. This research affirms that rationality must be understood from the actor's perspective, not an external one, and emphasizes the importance of relevant policies to enhance the resilience of impoverished farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital interaction in building customer loyalty for Ice Cream Dangau Datuk, a school-based micro-enterprise developed at SMK Agribisnis Dangau Datuk. A descriptive qualitative method was applied, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and digital activity documentation. The findings indicate that digital interactioncomprising quick response, high-quality content, ease of access, and simple digital loyalty programsplays a significant role in fostering customer loyalty. The effectiveness of digital marketing strategies is evident in increased customer engagement, sales growth, enhanced brand image, and market reach expansion. The study concludes that digital marketing serves not only as a promotional medium but also as a strategic tool to establish emotional and long-term connections with consumers, especially in the context of MSMEs with limited resources.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of gender in language and speaking style choices in the workplace, focusing on how gender differences affect communication patterns between individuals. In the workplace, communication is key to building relationships, conveying ideas, and resolving conflicts. However, gender differences can affect the way a person chooses words, intonation, and speaking style, which ultimately impacts communication effectiveness. This study uses a qualitative approach through observation and interviews in several work sectors. The results show that women tend to use a cooperative and supportive speaking style, while men are more dominant and direct in communication. These differences are influenced by cultural, social factors, and position in the organization. Understanding differences in communication styles based on gender is important in building an inclusive and productive work environment.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) di kelas IV SDN Tolokibit, Kabupaten Banggai Kepulauan, Sulawesi Tengah. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada materi nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, serta kurangnya keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April 2025 dengan subjek sebanyak 16 siswa, terdiri dari 9 siswa laki-laki dan 7 siswa perempuan. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, di mana siklus I terdiri atas dua pertemuan (tanggal 7 dan 10 April 2025) dan siklus II terdiri atas satu pertemuan (tanggal 14 April 2025). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II. Nilai rata-rata meningkat dari 68,75 menjadi 78,13, sedangkan persentase ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 50% menjadi 93,75%. Pembelajaran dengan model PBL terbukti dapat mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif dalam menyelesaikan masalah kontekstual, bekerja sama dalam kelompok, dan mengaitkan materi dengan kehidupan nyata. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Pendidikan Pancasila siswa kelas IV. Disarankan agar guru dapat menggunakan model ini sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang inovatif dan partisipatif

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world, with a land area that includes rich coastal ecosystems, including mangrove forests. Mangrove forests in Indonesia have a very important ecological role, such as protection against coastal abrasion, habitat for marine biota, and carbon absorption. However, these forests face threats due to land conversion for agriculture, housing, and industry. This study aims to explore the utilization of mangrove forests on Sicanang Island, Medan, with a focus on the social and economic impacts on local communities. The results of the study show that the community utilizes mangrove forests for fisheries, shrimp farming, and the use of raw materials for daily needs. Sustainable management of mangrove forests is very important to maintain the balance of the ecosystem and improve the quality of life of coastal communities.
