Abstract

This study analyzes the role of app-based depression screening, such as Halodoc as a solution for early detection and intervention in college students. Depression in college students often escapes identification. This can negatively impact their academic performance and quality of life. Through a descriptive literature study, this paper demonstrates that students need mental health services that are easily accessible, maintain privacy, and involve professionals. Mental health apps meet this need by providing brainstorming consultation features, depression testing (using the PHQ-9), and educational articles. Early screening allows for rapid and appropriate intervention, preventing the condition from worsening and continuing into adulthood. Despite challenges such as stigma and privacy issues, these services offer great opportunities to responsibly improve students’ mental well-being.

Abstract

In higher education institutions, performance-based compensation has become a strategic concern in human resource management, especially for private universities (PTS), which face challenges in improving academic quality, worldwide competition, and resource constraints. The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of performance-based compensation schemes on the academic output and motivation of lecturers in private higher education institutions. Using a case study design, this study takes a qualitative approach in a number of Indonesian private universities. To find patterns, themes, and meanings behind lecturers' experiences with the compensation system, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data was then subjected to thematic analysis. The results show that lecturers' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation is increased by performance-based compensation, particularly when it comes to community service, teaching effectiveness, and scientific publications. Its execution is still fraught with difficulties, nevertheless, including ambiguous performance metrics, constrained institutional funding, and organizational culture. Prior research has primarily examined the efficacy of compensation in public sectors, with less focus on its precise effects on academic motivation and production at private universities. This study advances the notion of performance management by highlighting the significance of sustainability, equity, and transparency in compensation practices. In practice, the findings help managers in higher education create more equitable, responsible, and performance-based compensation schemes. The report also emphasizes that compensation is a strategic tool to promote a competitive, effective, and quality-focused academic culture rather than just a financial tool.

Abstract

Phubbing behavior among generation Z students appears to be concerning where interaction patterns are disrupted with the dominant role of smartphone technology that can undermine active communication. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of phubbing behavior on the interaction of students of generation Z. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a type of survey research on the presence of phubbing behavior among students of Malang Raya. As for the respondents obtained i.e. 202 respondents dug through the questionnaire with data analysis using normality test with Kolmogorov Smirnov type. As for the results of the research shows that the level of phubbing behavior among generation Z students Malang Raya in the moderate category with the result of the normality test is 0.767 with a significance of 0.599 with a mean of 66.37 or in the moderate category so that the form of interaction failure. educators to provide proper teaching patterns.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the financial performance of PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk in the period of the first quarter of 2018 (Q1 2018) to the fourth quarter of 2023 (Q4 2023) using financial ratios including Current Ratio (CR), Quick Debt to Ratio (QER), Quick Debt Ratio (QR), Ratio (DAR), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Total Asset Turnover (TATO). Analyzes were conducted by comparing ratio values against industry standards and dividing them into three phases: before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of the study show that the liquidity and solvency levels of the company are best classified, indicated by the CR and QR values being well above the standard as well as the DER and DAR within reasonable limits. In contrast, the profitability to activity ratios were below industry standards, with significant declines in the pandemic period. Entering 2023, performance started to improve marked by positive ROA and ROE as well as improved TATO.

Abstract

Arabic is the original language of the Qur'an, Hadith, and various other classical literature, which are the main sources of Islamic teachings. Arabic plays a very important role in understanding Islamic religious knowledge. This study also aims to explain the importance of mastering this language for all Muslims, especially in terms of education and the development of Islamic knowledge. This research was conducted through a qualitative descriptive analysis that included a review of various relevant scientific sources. The results show that mastering Arabic enables one to understand religious texts correctly, avoid misinterpretations, and gain a contextual understanding that is in accordance with the original intent of the author or narrator.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah media sosial Tiktok yang berfokus pada interaksi antar pengguna dalam kolom komentar. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan dari objek penelitian dari akun @metrotv, @qweenna, @waone0808, dan @cnnindonesia antara lain: prefiks pembentuk verba 16 data, sufiks pembentuk verba 13 data, dan kombinasi antara prefiks dan sufiks pembentuk verba 11 data.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research (PTK) or commonly referred to as Classroom Action Research with the objective that the research can improve the cognitive learning outcomes of students through the application of Make a Match cooperative learning model of grade XI students. The research subjects consisted of 40 students with the implementation stage carried out two cycles (Cycle I and Cycle II), as for the data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that the application of Make a match type cooperative learning model can improve the cognitive learning performance of students of class XI.a Aliyah Madani Pao-pao Madrasah of Gowa District. The improvement was shown from the research results of cycle I to cycle II, namely the mean score of students’ cognitive learning outcome increased from 56.00 to 67.70 and the increase in the percentage of students who completed from 47.50 % to 87.50%. Based on the results of the quantitative analysis an improvement was obtained for students’ cognitive learning performance on excretory system material in cycle I and cycle II by 40% thus it can be concluded that there was an improvement in the cognitive learning performance of students of grade XI.a Aliyah Madani Madrasah Pao-pao Gowa District.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the numeracy ability of the students in solving class IX junior number pattern questions. This type of research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The subjects of this study were selected based on the students’ mathematical ability i.e. it consists of 6 subjects with each 2 students for each mathematical ability (high, medium, and low) Grade IX Bhakti Karya Karya Gebang Junior High School. The technique used in the sampling of subjects was purposive sampling. Research instruments take the form of a main instrument (researcher) and a supporting instrument (number pattern test). The research data collection techniques used tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and inference drawing. The results of the study showed that the numeracy ability of students with high mathematics ability was able to meet 3 indicators of numeracy ability, numeracy ability of students with moderate mathematics ability was able to meet 2 indicators of numeracy ability, and numeracy ability of mathematics ability only1 indicator of low ability numbering.

Abstract

Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) is a congenital heart defect that causes abnormal blood flow between the heart's atria, leading to cardiopulmonary dysfunction. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of breathing exercises in improving cardiopulmonary function in children with ASD. A systematic literature review (SLR) method was employed to analyze 15 studies addressing the impact of breathing exercises on the physiological and functional parameters of children with ASD. The results showed that breathing exercises significantly increased oxygen saturation, lung vital capacity, and physical activity tolerance. Additionally, there was a reduction in pulmonary artery pressure and an increase in ejection fraction, contributing to the optimization of heart function. Game-based approaches and family involvement effectively improved adherence and intervention outcomes. The implementation of breathing exercises also provided benefits in reducing pre-procedural anxiety and accelerating post-operative recovery. Thus, breathing exercises have the potential to become an effective non-pharmacological therapeutic modality in the comprehensive management of children with ASD. This study recommends developing standardized breathing exercise protocols and conducting long-term evaluations to support broader clinical implementation.

Abstract

This study was designed to identify the extent to which the utilization of gaming media from Gamilab on the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) can improve the learning achievement of gradeV students in SDN Gambut1. as research subjects. In the preliminary observation phase, teachers using Gamilab media obtained an activity score of 78.75% in cycleI.After being given the opportunity to improve their teachingpractice and integrate games more intensively, the score rose to 89.30% in cycleII. The comparison of mean?scores of students between cycleI and cycleII showed a significant improvement; in cycleI the mean?value recorded was 63%, while in cycleII it increased to 78%, signifying an increase of 15 percentage points. Further, the written test pass rate also showed growth: in cycleI only 70% of students achieved graduation standards, however in cycleII this figure jumped to 87%, signifying an increase of 17%. From the findings it can be concluded that the integration of Game Gamilab media in the learning?teaching process of IPAS positively impacts the quality of learning, improves teacher engagement, lifts students academic achievement, as well as increases the percentage of successfully qualified learners.
