Abstract

The speech delivered by the Minister of Youth and Sports on the 97th Anniversary of Youth Pledge Day in 2025 represents a formal state discourse conveying messages of unity, nationalism, and the strategic role of youth in nation-building. This study aims to analyze the use of lexical and structural categories in the speech text and to explain their functions in constructing discourse cohesion and persuasive power. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a linguistic analysis approach using observation and note-taking techniques. The data consist of linguistic elements in the speech text, which are classified into lexical and structural categories and analyzed based on their functions and frequency of occurrence. The findings indicate that lexical elements are more dominant than structural elements, accounting for approximately 70–75% of the total data, while structural elements comprise around 25–30%. The dominance of lexical elements, particularly nouns, verbs, and adjectives, functions as the main carriers of meaning that emphasize national identity, unity, and collective appeals. It can be concluded that high lexical density serves as an effective linguistic strategy in strengthening the persuasive message of the state speech.

Abstract

During the reign of Sultan Osman Al Sani Perkasa Alam in the post-independence political transition of the Deli Sultanate (1945–1967), a radical shift occurred from a monarchical system to a republican system that rejected feudalism. The Deli Sultanate, as a traditional institution, experienced significant social and political pressure, particularly during the 1946 Social Revolution, which led to the collapse of many sultanates in East Sumatra. However, Sultan Osman was able to maintain the existence of the Sultanate through non-confrontational strategies and a cultural approach. This study aims to examine how Sultan Osman adapted to national political dynamics and how he preserved Malay cultural identity amid crisis. The research employs a qualitative method with a historical approach, collecting data through documentation, field observations, and interviews. The analysis uses theories of political transition and power legitimacy. The findings indicate that despite losing formal political power, Sultan Osman continued to play an important role as a cultural symbol, social unifier, and guardian of Malay traditional values. He represents a successful example of the transformation of traditional elites in facing changing times in a peaceful and dignified manner.

Abstract

Islamic education during the decline of the medieval period, which lasted from the 13th to the 18th centuries, was marked by intellectual stagnation, the weakening of centers of learning, and the dominance of conservative traditions in Islamic thought. Factors that caused this decline included foreign invasions, such as the Mongol invasion that destroyed Baghdad in 1258, the weakening of Islamic political power, and reliance on traditional teaching methods such as memorization without critical understanding. Nevertheless, Islamic education continued to play an important role in maintaining the tradition of learning and spirituality through institutions such as the madrasah. Madrasahs during this period focused more on the study of Islamic jurisprudence and religious sciences, so they paid less attention to rational sciences such as philosophy, astronomy, and medicine, which had previously flourished during the Golden Age of Islam.

Abstract

The transformation of social media into a comment section serves as a platform for public reception of religious messages. The popular messages of Ustadz Hanan Attaki have sparked various responses, demonstrating the potential for messages to be accepted (bullet effect) or rejected (boomerang effect). The dualistic nature of this phenomenon is highly contradictory when it comes to determining the effectiveness of religious communication in the digital space. This study aims to discover and examine patterns of boomerang and bullet effect acceptance in audience (mad'u) comments in response to Ustadz Hanan Attaki's religious content. Using a qualitative research design with descriptive comment analysis, data in the form of audience reactions on social media was collected using non-participatory observation and documentation techniques. The data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis to categorize and interpret the nuances of acceptance and rejection. The results showed that the bullet effect was led by comments of emotional support and agreement with motivational themes, while the boomerang effect occurred from comments that questioned the contextual interpretation of religious teachings or the personal aspects of the da'i. Effective da'wah communication occurs when the message is in line with the audience's needs. This study contributes to mapping the challenges of digital dakwah reception, emphasizing the active role of the audience in creating meaning from messages.

Abstract

Background; Proximal humeral fractures (PHF) are one of the most common fractures in adults, with prevalence ranging from 4% to 10% of all fractures. These fractures are often caused by low energy trauma such as falls from a standing position or medical conditions such as osteoporosis. Treatment of PHF can be conservative or surgical, depending on the type and severity of the fracture. Untreated complications can lead to joint stiffness and worsen the patient's quality of life. Therefore, the role of nurses in supporting patient self-care is very important, especially in providing appropriate education and interventions. Objective; This study aims to provide nursing care to patients with PHF who experience immobilization. Methods: This study used a case report design that analyzed a 44-year-old male patient with a diagnosis of neglected proximal humeral fracture and metatarsal fracture. Nursing diagnoses found include acute pain, impaired physical mobilization, and impaired skin integrity. Interventions include pain management with analgesic administration, physical mobilization support, and skin integrity care. Results; The results of nursing planning showed increased physical mobility and pain reduction after 3x24 hours, as well as improved skin integrity after two meetings. Conclusion; This nursing care shows the importance of the nurse's role in providing education to patients and families to support post-fracture recovery.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged business actors to utilize data analysis to improve efficiency and competitiveness, one of which is through demand forecasting. This study aims to implement machine learning algorithms to forecast product demand in the Krusawi Healthy Crackers business. The method employed is Prophet, which was selected due to its capability to handle time series data with nonlinear trends and seasonal patterns. The data used consist of historical daily sales data from April to July 2024, which were subsequently aggregated into weekly data. The research stages include data collection, data preprocessing (data aggregation, handling missing values, and Box-Cox transformation), Prophet model design with logistic growth and custom bi-monthly seasonality, model training, and performance evaluation. The results indicate that the Prophet model provides excellent forecasting performance, achieving a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 6.57% or an accuracy level of 93.43%. The model successfully captures trend and seasonal patterns in Krusawi product sales. Therefore, the implementation of machine learning algorithms using the Prophet method proves to be a reliable solution for supporting production planning and inventory management in the Krusawi healthy crackers business, and has the potential to improve operational efficiency and business decision-making.

Abstract

The study of wording in usul al-fiqh occupies a very important position in understanding the texts of the Qur'an and hadith, because it is from here that Islamic law is derived. Among the main topics of discussion is the analysis of wording in terms of its meaning, particularly the categories of zahir, nash, mufassar, and muhkam. These four categories play a strategic role in the process of istinbath (derivation) of law, as they determine the level of clarity, the possibility of interpretation, and the finality of a text. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method, examining classical and contemporary literature, both usul al-fiqh books and modern studies. The results of the study show that: (1) zahir wording is clear but still open to interpretation, (2) nash wording is more definitive and can only be interpreted according to its primary meaning, (3) mufassar is very clear wording that does not require additional interpretation, and (4) muhkam is the most definitive wording that does not accept changes in meaning. This study confirms that the hierarchy of the meaning of lafaz is an important tool in maintaining the balance between preserving the authority of the text and the need for contextualization of Islamic law. Thus, this classification remains relevant in addressing contemporary Islamic legal issues.

Abstract

Background: Labor is the process of expelling a viable product of conception from the uterus through the vagina into the outside world (Kuswanti, 2014:1). Normal labor is characterized by uterine contractions that cause cervical effacement and dilation and push the fetus through the birth canal, resulting in pain experienced by the mother. Pain causes suffering and stress, which, if not relieved, can influence subsequent pain responses. Objective: To determine the frequency distribution of pain levels among women in the active phase of the first stage of labor before the application of warm compresses at an independent midwifery practice (BPM) in Palembang City. Methods: This study employed an experimental research method, namely a study involving an intervention to determine its effect (Notoatmodjo, 2013, p. 50). The research design was a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest–posttest approach, in which a pretest (O1) was conducted, followed by an intervention (X), and then a posttest (O2) in the same group. Results: Labor pain is a manifestation of uterine muscle contractions (shortening). These contractions cause pain in the lower back and abdominal area and may radiate to the thighs. The contractions also result in cervical dilation, which enables the birth process to occur. Effective management of labor pain is essential to provide comfort to the mother during childbirth, as this is part of respectful maternity care and reflects the roles and functions of midwives. Conclusion: Based on the Wilcoxon test, a significance (? value) of 0.000 was obtained, indicating that ? ? 0.05. This result shows that the application of warm compresses has a significant effect on reducing pain intensity in women during the active phase of the first stage of labor at BPM Fauziah Hatta, Mala Husin, and Bakiah Azhar in 2024.
