Abstract

School is a place where students pursue knowledge. Every school generally has a vision and mission related to religious values, aiming to produce a generation with strong religious character. However, based on recent observations, there are still students who display behaviors that indicate a lack of religious attitude, such as speaking harshly, being undisciplined, and lacking manners. This phenomenon underlies the importance of this study, which investigates the implementation of religious development programs at SMPN 27 Bandung in fostering religiosity among students as part of the Islamic generation. This research aims to explore the religious development programs, their implementation, the supporting (internal and external) and inhibiting (internal and external) factors, as well as the impacts of these programs. The study uses a descriptive-analytical method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation review, analyzed using triangulation techniques. The findings reveal that the implementation of the religious development program has a positive impact on enhancing students' religious attitudes. This is evidenced by the improvement in: (1) humility, (2) respect for religious diversity (tolerance), and (3) cooperation in preparing prayer spaces

Abstract

The preservation of cultural values through education is a vital strategy in maintaining national identity amidst globalization that threatens local wisdom. This study applies a qualitative approach through literature review to analyze the role of education in transmitting cultural values and shaping students' character. The findings indicate that education plays a strategic function not only in transferring cultural heritage but also in cultivating moral and spiritual values rooted in local traditions and religious teachings. Formal, non-formal, and informal education must synergize in this process. The Merdeka Curriculum offers significant opportunities for innovation in local culture-based learning. The role of the teacher as a value model is essential, as emphasized in the concept of ta'dib by Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas. By simultaneously strengthening character and cultural education, education can serve as a progressive and inclusive agent of cultural transformation

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia has always been in the vortex of continuously evolving policy dynamics. One of the latest policies affecting Islamic education is the Merdeka Curriculum, which offers flexibility for schools and teachers in designing more contextualized learning experiences. However, within this increasingly open system, a significant challenge arises in ensuring that Islamic values remain an inseparable part of the national education system. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review and policy analysis approach to understand the dynamics of Islamic education politics within the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. Data were obtained from journals, academic books, government policy documents, and related research reports, which were analyzed using descriptive-qualitative analysis and political analysis to assess the extent to which Islamic education has been accommodated in the Merdeka Curriculum. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum provides a significant opportunity for Islamic education to remain relevant in contemporary times, but challenges persist, such as the lack of explicit regulations on integrating Islamic values, limited resources, and teachers' readiness to implement these concepts. Therefore, synergy between the government, educators, and Islamic educational institutions is essential to ensure that Islamic education retains a strong position within the national education system

Abstract

This article aims to explore strategies for integrating general and religious knowledge within Islamic education as an approach to building a holistic educational system aligned with the demands of the multidisciplinary era. Using a descriptive qualitative method through literature review, this study analyzes integrative practices in Islamic educational institutions, the strategic role of teachers, as well as the challenges and opportunities for strengthening integration. The findings indicate that integration models are implemented through unified curricula, thematic learning, and value-based project assignments that combine scientific and spiritual approaches. Teachers act as key agents who not only deliver subject content but also embody values through interdisciplinary teaching. Despite facing challenges such as dichotomous paradigms, limited teacher competencies, and the scarcity of integrative teaching materials, integration can be strengthened through teacher training, curriculum reform, institutional policies, and collaboration among stakeholders. Through this approach, Islamic education can cultivate insan kamil individuals who are intellectually excellent, spiritually grounded, and globally competitive.

Abstract

The phenomenon of moral degradation has become a significant issue in contemporary society, particularly in an era marked by disruption, individualism, and hedonism. This moral decline is evident in the rise of traits such as arrogance and forgetfulness, which are seen as fundamental roots of moral negligence. These behaviors lead to various forms of deviance, including violence, misuse of technology, free sex, integrity erosion, bullying, disrespect, and corruption. Identifies arrogance and forgetfulness as the core traits driving moral degradation. Arrogance, symbolized by Satan's downfall due to pride, and forgetfulness, represented by Prophet Adam’s disobedience regarding the forbidden tree, contribute to this decline. This study explores these traits from the perspective of Islamic spirituality and their impact on social life, employing library research with a qualitative-descriptive approach. The findings suggest that arrogance involves denial of truth and belittlement of others, while forgetfulness entails neglect of life’s purpose and divine trust. If not addressed, these traits can lead to systemic moral corruption. The study recommends revitalizing spiritual education based on monotheism (tauhid) and self-reflection (muhasabah) as essential tools for combating moral degradation, with a focus on reflection and sincere repentance, particularly through practices like remembering death (dzikri maut)

Abstract

Abstract

Schools are places where students pursue knowledge. Every school has a vision and mission related to religion, as schools want to produce a generation with religious attitudes. According to the information obtained, the current phenomenon is that there are students who lack religious attitudes, including those who still like to use foul language, lack discipline, and lack manners. This is the background for the research on the implementation of religious guidance programmes at SMPN 27 Bandung so that students, as the Islamic generation, will have religious attitudes. This study aims to determine the religious guidance programme, its implementation, supporting factors (internal and external) and inhibiting factors (internal and external), as well as the impact of the implementation of the religious guidance programme. The method used in this study is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews and documentation review, with triangulation analysis techniques. The results of the study show that the implementation has had a fairly good impact on increasing religious attitudes, as demonstrated by the increase in: 1) humility, 2) respect for religious diversity/tolerance, and 3) cooperation in preparing places of worship

Abstract

Early childhood education is an effort aimed at children from birth to six years of age, carried out through the provision of educational stimuli to assist physical and spiritual growth and development so that children are prepared to enter further education. For this reason, the instilling of Islamic values needs to be carried out from an early age so that it becomes a strong foundation in shaping the character of students. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a literature study method. The results showed that the contextual approach emphasized the involvement of students in understanding the material through direct experience, so that their understanding of Islamic values as a strong foundation for character building became more optimal. The contextual learning model can be applied to all subjects, with the aim of enabling students to be more actively involved in learning and constructing their knowledge independently, thereby optimising their understanding of Islamic values as a strong foundation for character building in early childhood
