Abstract

This community service activity was implemented by lecturer at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business Lukman Edi Pekanbaru. This activity aims to introduce the Shariah-based economic and financial system, as well as about riba and its future impact to students. The target of this activity is the students of class XII which consists of classes with majors in social studies and science. The conclusion of the results of these MPH activities, namely the minimum economic and financial literacy of students, then through this socialization can positively impact students by opening up insights and knowledge on the opportunities of understanding Shariah economics and finance, and the hope is that online students and students beware of gambling applications. dealing with economics and finance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the administration Farmers' response to the provision of black soldier fly maggot flour (Hermetia illucens) in rations on the interior quality of laying hen eggs. The outreach was conducted in TA Village, Tanete Riattang District, Bone Regency, in June 2023. Extension evaluation was performed at the beginning and end of the study. The results indicated that a significant substitution of BSF maggot meal has an impact on the observed parameters. Substituting concentrate with up to 15% BSF maggot meal in the diet leads to improved egg internal quality, particularly in egg yolk index and egg yolk color. Furthermore, the extension evaluation showed an increase in the knowledge, attitude, and skills of respondents by 38.2%, 21%, and 38.8%, respectively. In addition, the extension program meets the criteria for being considered effective.

Abstract

Vocabulary is an important foundation in English language acquisition, especially in the primary school period as an early stage of foreign language learning. However, the still dominant learning using rote memorization makes students less motivated and limited in vocabulary acquisition. Therefore, innovative strategies are needed that are fun and encourage students’ active engagement. Game-based approaches (game-based learning) are believed to be capable of increasing learning interest while strengthening recall power towards vocabulary. This community service activity was implemented at Imam Shafi’i TPQ by involving primary school students. The main media used were board games with simple vocabulary themes such as colors, numbers, and animals. The activity stage consists of initial observation, game implementation, and evaluation. Observation shows that students are still limited in basic vocabulary and lack confidence. Through board games, students learn vocabulary with a competitive, collaborative, and fun atmosphere. Activity results showed there was a significant improvement, where students who were previously only able to name 2–3 vocabularies, after playing could name 6–8 vocabularies with more confidence. Additionally, students appear more enthusiastic, active, and motivated. Thus, the use of board games proved to effectively enhance vocabulary acquisition while fostering positive attitudes towards learning English early on.

Abstract

The purpose of this PKM program is to increase students' understanding of the meaning, forms, and impacts of bullying, provide students with skills in preventing and overcoming bullying, foster empathy, tolerance, and mutual respect among students, reduce the potential for bullying cases in schools and assist schools in creating a safe, comfortable, and conducive learning environment. This counseling uses interactive lectures, group discussions, role-playing simulations and evaluations. The target audience for this counseling is all students at SMP Negeri 1 Bangunrejo. The success rate of this counseling is seen from 85% of students understanding the definition and types of bullying after the counseling, 78% of students being able to identify the impacts of bullying, and 80% of students being able to formulate steps to prevent bullying in schools. This indicates that the counseling is effective in increasing student awareness and creating a healthier school environment.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengintroduksi sistem irigasi otomatis berbasis energi surya pada budidaya tanaman klengkeng khususnya di Desa Kedungweru, Kecamatan Ayah, Kabupaten Kebumen, Jawa Tengah. Permasalahan utama di wilayah ini adalah rendahnya efisiensi penggunaan air dan tingginya ketergantungan pada irigasi manual yang menghambat produktivitas dan berisiko terhadap keberlanjutan pertanian. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi identifikasi permasalahan, pelatihan teknis, demonstrasi lapangan, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi berbasis partisipatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan efisiensi penggunaan air hingga 60%, penurunan kebutuhan tenaga kerja manual sebesar 50%, serta peningkatan hasil panen klengkeng hingga 50% per pohon. Selain itu, kualitas buah juga meningkat, ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar °Brix dan daya simpan yang lebih baik. Program ini juga membangun kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya teknologi hijau dan memperkuat fondasi kemandirian pangan serta ekonomi lokal berbasis energi terbarukan. Model ini dapat direplikasi ke wilayah lain dengan karakteristik serupa guna memperluas dampak transformasi pertanian berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The impact of the rapid development of information and communication technologies affects various activities in human life, one of the affected is the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector, in sustaining and developing businesses becoming better must utilize technology . The issue that arises at the moment many of the MSME actors still have minimal knowledge in terms of technology. The purpose of this service to the community is to improve digital literacy by providing training to MSME actors in terms of utilization of communication information technology. The method of service to the community is through training to SME performers in Karawaci Village Karawaci District Tangerang City along with the activities of Real Work Lecture. As a result of the training activities participants understood and could practice marketing through electronic media, which was subsequently conducted accompaniment for one week post training.

Abstract

Lack of maternal knowledge about Chronic Energy Deficiency is one of the indirect causes of maternal and infant mortality. The purpose of this activity is to provide Nutrition Awareness Education for Teenagers to Prevent Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK). The method of implementing this Community Service Program is community education in the form of health counseling, evaluated by pre-test and post-test. The method of implementing the service is to provide nutrition awareness education for teenagers by means of discussions using ebooklet media about balanced nutrition and KEK. The number of participants who attended was 50 people, 2 students, and 5 midwives. The activity started from the planning, implementation, evaluation, to the preparation of the report. The results of the activity showed a change in knowledge with an average pre-test of 90% of participants' knowledge being in the poor category and the post-test results of 90% being in the good category. In the skill aspect, all participants who attended (100%) were able to Know nutritional awareness for the prevention of KEK. Conclusion. Educational activities about nutritional awareness for the prevention of KEK can be an effort to increase knowledge and promote nutritional health in the prevention and control of KEK. It is hoped that this activity can become a health promotion strategy in the prevention and control of KEK.

Abstract

This community service activity was implemented to respond to the challenge of low digital literacy of the Indonesian community amid the rampant use of Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) as well as TikTok. Based on We Are Social & Hootsuite’s (2023) report, more than half of Indonesia’s population actively uses social media, however MAFINDO’s (2022) report shows that 60% of hoaks in Indonesia precisely stem from short, illustrated video content. These conditions are exacerbated by the public’s minimal understanding of the community standards enforced by global platforms as well as the limitations of media ethical awareness. These activities were conducted through socialization and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) involving students, college students, and the local community. Main material covers understanding Meta and TikTok community standards, ethical principles of digital communication, as well as national regulations such as Law No. 32 Year 2002 on Broadcasting and P3SPS. Activity results showed there was high participation from the public, an increase in participants’ understanding of media ethics, as well as a change in critical attitudes in curating digital content. These activities also serve to bridge the gap between global community standards and lived local values in Indonesian society. Thus, this dedication program can be a relevant model of public communication ethics-based digital literacy to be applied sustainably in the face of the challenges of the digital space.

Abstract

Vocabulary acquisition is one of the fundamental aspects of English language learning, especially for primary school-aged children who are in the early stages of language acquisition. Basic vocabulary related to nature was chosen because it has proximity to the child’s daily life, making it more understandable and interesting to learn. This community service activity was implemented by Gorontalo State University English Education lecturers with the aim of introducing basic English vocabulary on nature to primary school children of grades 4-6 in Tilongkabila Subdistrict, Bone Bolango County, Gorontalo Province. The activity implementation method uses a nature-based exploration approach through outdoor learning in the courtyard. Activities take place in one encounter with stages in the form of ice breaking, vocabulary introduction using pictured cards and real objects, as well as simple game activities to reinforce comprehension. Evaluation was conducted qualitatively through observation of children’s responses during the activity, including enthusiasm, engagement, and ability to pronounce the taught vocabulary. Activity results showed that the children were very enthusiastic, active, and capable of naming a number of basic nature-related vocabulary although with pronunciation that still needed guidance. These activities provide a fun learning experience, increase motivation, and foster children’s interest in continuing to learn English through a contextualized nature-based approach.

Abstract

Learning media is a tool for delivering messages from the teacher as the giver of the message to the learner as the receiver. Learning media is very helpful for the learning success of children in school so that children can grasp the material well. As for this accompanying activity aims to give insight to students of kindergarten STAI Darussalam Lampung in making the right learning media while teaching. This method of serving the community using Service Learning, is implemented through multiple steps namely planning, implementation and evaluation. As for the results obtained that is students are able to create learning media in accordance with the learning theme. Through the creation of this learning medium, students can stimulate their imagination, creativity and cognitive powers. With this companionship, students (prospective teachers) of early childhood education can finally deliver teaching materials that are interesting, meaningful and of course fun for their learners.
