Abstract

This study aims to analyze cost behavior in supporting managerial decision-making within companies. Cost behavior refers to changes in costs resulting from changes in the level of business activity and consists of fixed costs, variable costs, and semi-variable costs. Understanding cost behavior is essential because cost information serves as the basis for planning, controlling, evaluating, and making managerial decisions. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach by collecting data from scientific journals, undergraduate theses, final projects, books, and scholarly articles relevant to the research topic. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive qualitative technique by identifying, classifying, comparing, and interpreting various reference sources related to cost behavior and managerial decision-making. The results indicate that cost behavior plays an important role in supporting managerial decision-making, particularly in profit planning, cost control, pricing decisions, and Cost-Volume-Profit (CVP) analysis. Furthermore, an understanding of cost behavior helps companies improve the effectiveness and efficiency of resource utilization, enabling them to achieve operational objectives optimally. Therefore, cost behavior analysis is an important tool in supporting the success of managerial activities within a company.

Abstract

Surabaya City Government achieved the AA predicate in the 2024 SAKIP evaluation, becoming the first city in Indonesia to reach this highest distinction. Behind this achievement, the mandatory transition to SIPD RI presents real structural obstacles: program nomenclature mismatch, double-entry burden at the OPD level, and the risk of planning-budgeting linearity distortion. This study employs a systematic documentary analysis approach grounded in Digital Era Governance (DEG) and Policy-Budget Linkage Theory. The documentary corpus consists of the Surabaya RKPD 2024–2025, APBD documents, SIPD RI regulations, and SAKIP evaluation reports from KemenPANRB. The findings reveal that the system locking mechanism and digital-based performance cascading form the primary institutional foundation of Surabaya's SAKIP quality, while the compliance cost of SIPD RI standardization remains an unresolved institutional barrier. The novelty of this study lies in its analysis of digital system transition governance in a high-digital-maturity local government-a perspective consistently absent from Indonesian public administration literature, which predominantly examines regions with low digital capacity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work experience and education level on employee performance at PT Amartha Mikro Fintec Wewiku Branch, Malaka Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach using an associative research design to analyze the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. The study population consisted of all 35 employees of the company, and a saturated sampling technique was applied, meaning that all members of the population were selected as research participants. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 22. The findings indicate that work experience has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Likewise, education level also has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Simultaneously, work experience and education level significantly affect employee performance and provide a substantial contribution to explaining variations in employee performance. These findings suggest that employees with greater work experience and higher educational attainment tend to achieve better job performance. Therefore, the company is expected to pay greater attention to work experience and educational background in recruitment, training, and career development programs. Such efforts are expected to improve employee performance more effectively while supporting organizational productivity and the achievement of corporate goals in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The growth of the food industry encourages companies to continuously develop innovations that meet consumer needs, including product packaging. This study aims to develop an innovative food packaging concept based on consumer needs using a qualitative approach. The research was conducted at Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya and involved three university students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through an initial survey, in-depth interviews, and a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The survey results indicated that participants needed a more practical packaging solution for storing leftover snacks without requiring additional containers. The interview findings revealed that consumers preferred packaging that was convenient to use because transferring leftover food into separate containers was considered inconvenient. The initial concept of a resealable sticker packaging was then evaluated through the FGD. The discussion revealed that the concept was not sufficiently effective in maintaining product quality, leading to the development of a vacuum resealable packaging concept. This innovation was considered more effective in preserving product freshness, reducing air exposure, and providing greater convenience for consumers when storing leftover snacks. The findings demonstrate that involving consumers in the innovation development process can generate solutions that better address market needs while adding value to the product.

Abstract

The transition from linear to circular supply chains is increasingly recognized as a strategic necessity rather than merely a corporate social responsibility initiative (MahmoumGonbadi et al., 2021; Mishra et al., 2023; Montag, 2023). This paper examines the implementation of sustainable and circular supply chains in Indonesia by using Rekosistem as the primary case study and Danone and Nestlé as examples of corporate partners within the circular ecosystem. Conceptually, circular supply chains build upon the principles of closed-loop supply chains, reverse logistics, and the circular economy, emphasizing material recovery, value recapture, and the integration of forward and reverse flows to generate economic, social, and environmental value simultaneously (MahmoumGonbadi et al., 2021; Mishra et al., 2023). In Indonesia, the need for circular supply chains is driven by persistent plastic waste challenges, the critical role of the informal sector, limited recycling infrastructure, and growing corporate sustainability commitments (Iacovidou et al., 2025; Pambudi et al., 2025). This paper argues that successful circular supply chain implementation in emerging markets depends on three interrelated factors: data visibility, effective coordination between formal and informal actors, and corporate demand driven by ESG objectives and Scope 3 decarbonization targets (Danone Group in Indonesia, 2023; Nestlé, 2025; Simonetto et al., 2022).

Abstract

The accelerated technological disruption in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era has forced the capital market industry to reorient its operational strategy through digitalization. This study aims to empirically analyze the effect of digital transformation and transformational leadership style on employee performance at PT Mandiri Sekuritas Medan Branch. Employing an explanatory quantitative approach, data were gathered using structured questionnaires from 87 employees selected via probability sampling from a total population of 111 staff. Multiple Linear Regression analyzed through SPSS 26 was utilized. Partial testing reveals that digital transformation significantly enhances employee performance (t = 2.799, p < 0.05). Similarly, transformational leadership style acts as a dominant catalyst, positively and significantly impacting individual performance (t = 3.360, p < 0.05). Simultaneously, both independent variables significantly predict employee execution (F = 14.708, p < 0.000) with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 25.9%. The remaining 74.1% variance is defined by external elements outside this model, such as work motivation, loyalty, and corporate culture. Strategic recommendations emphasize the critical convergence of high-tier digital infrastructure provision (advanced analytics) and visionary leadership development to mitigate employee technostress in regional financial markets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of situational leadership style, compensation, and job satisfaction on employee performance at PT. AAE Outdoor Indonesia, both partially and simultaneously. The study was motivated by a decline in the number of employees and the importance of improving employee performance to support the achievement of the company's objectives. This research employed a quantitative method with a survey approach. The sample consisted of 93 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using data quality tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial (t-test), simultaneous (F-test), and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that situational leadership style (t = 6.397; p = 0.000), compensation (t = 6.485; p = 0.000), and job satisfaction (t = 9.573; p = 0.000) each have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with job satisfaction being the most dominant variable. Simultaneously, the three variables also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance (F = 31.733; p = 0.000). The Adjusted R² value of 0.501 indicates that 50.1% of the variation in employee performance is explained by these three variables.

Abstract

Employee performance is a key determinant of organizational effectiveness in delivering high-quality public services. This study aims to analyze the effects of motivation, work discipline, and workload on employee performance at BLU UPTD Trans Semarang. A quantitative approach was employed involving all administrative employees as the research population. Using a saturated sampling technique, 100 respondents were included in the study. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the least squares method. The findings indicate that motivation, work discipline, and workload each have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, these three variables also exert a positive and significant influence on employee performance, demonstrating that employee performance is shaped by both individual and organizational factors. Higher motivation encourages employees to perform their duties more effectively, while strong work discipline promotes responsibility, punctuality, and adherence to organizational procedures. Appropriate workload management also enables employees to complete their tasks efficiently without reducing productivity or service quality. These findings imply that organizations should strengthen employee motivation, enforce work discipline consistently, and manage workloads proportionally to improve overall performance. Implementing these strategies is expected to enhance organizational effectiveness, optimize human resource management, and support the delivery of more efficient, responsive, and high-quality public services for the community.
