Abstract

This study examines the effect of product quality, price, and promotion on the purchasing decisions of wholesale customers of CV Mitra Saputra, a plastic products distributor in Bekasi City. It was motivated by fluctuating sales amid intensifying competition among plastic distributors, and by inconsistent prior findings on how product quality, price perception, and promotion shape purchasing decisions. A quantitative survey design was used, with data collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 110 wholesale and retail customers, determined using the Slovin formula from a population of 150 regular customers through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS version 27, preceded by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. Results show that product quality (t = 4.564; sig. = 0.000), price (t = 2.840; sig. = 0.005), and promotion (t = 4.437; sig. = 0.000) each positively and significantly affect purchasing decisions, jointly explaining 41.2% of the variance (F = 24.763; sig. = 0.000), with product quality as the dominant predictor. Its novelty lies in examining B2B purchasing behavior in plastic packaging distribution, a context rarely studied compared to B2C research. CV Mitra Saputra should thus maintain product quality, competitive pricing, and strong promotion.

Abstract

The IDX30 Index consists of 30 companies with large market capitalization and high stock liquidity listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. However, throughout 2024, the index experienced relatively weak performance and frequently underperformed the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG). This condition indicates that stock price movements are influenced not only by companies' fundamental performance but also by external factors affecting market sentiment. This study aims to examine the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER) on the stock prices of companies included in the IDX30 Index during 2024. A quantitative approach was employed using secondary data obtained from quarterly financial statements and closing stock prices of 23 companies that met the sampling criteria, resulting in 92 observations. Panel data regression was applied as the analytical method, with the Fixed Effect Model selected as the most appropriate estimation model. The findings reveal that ROA, ROE, and DER simultaneously have a significant effect on stock prices. Partially, ROA has no significant effect, ROE has a significant negative effect, while DER has a significant positive effect on stock prices. These findings suggest that the stock prices of IDX30 companies are determined not only by profitability but also by capital structure and broader market conditions that shape investors' expectations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the partial and simultaneous effects of mental accounting and present bias on consumptive spending behavior among students with regular income in Denpasar City. The population in this study consisted of all university students in Denpasar City who have regular income from allowances, scholarships, or part-time jobs to fulfill their daily needs and consumption. The analysis process was carried out using a quantitative approach to the collected data. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The sample size was determined by multiplying the number of indicators by 10 (15 × 10), resulting in 150 respondents. The collected data were processed using SPSS 27.0 software. The data analysis techniques used were validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination test, t-test, and F-test. The results of the study indicate that mental accounting has a positive and significant effect on consumptive spending behavior among students in Denpasar City. Present bias also has a positive and significant effect on consumptive spending behavior among students in Denpasar City. Simultaneously, mental accounting and present bias have a positive and significant effect on consumptive spending behavior among students in Denpasar City. Therefore, students are advised to be more rational in making financial decisions by considering needs and long-term benefits and avoiding spending solely for social recognition.

Abstract

Non-Performing Loan (NPL) is an important indicator in assessing bank credit quality, where a high NPL ratio indicates problematic credit risk that may affect a bank’s financial stability. Several internal factors are presumed to influence NPL levels, including Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO). This study aims to analyze the factors affecting NPL during the 2021–2025 period. This research employed a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from annual financial reports. The population consisted of 44 conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), with purposive sampling resulting in 8 selected banks observed over five years, yielding a total of 40 observations. Data were analyzed using panel data model selection, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression with EViews 12. The results indicate that CAR and LDR have no significant partial effect on NPL, while BOPO has a positive and significant effect on NPL. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly affect NPL and explain 21% of its variation. A high BOPO ratio reflects operating expenses exceeding operating income, thereby limiting banks’ resources in conducting credit supervision and analysis. Therefore, banks are advised to prioritize operational efficiency to control problematic credit risk.

Abstract

The intense rivalry among homegrown fashion labels within e-commerce networks compels corporate leaders to refine their marketing mixes to sustain consistent sales. This study examines how financial cost, brand perception, and promotional efforts partially and collectively determine consumer buying preferences for Boolao, a local fashion brand operating on Shopee. Utilizing a quantitative methodology with descriptive and verifying traits, this research gathered empirical data from 100 Shopee subscribers acquainted with Boolao's catalog via targeted questionnaires. Samples were selected using a purposive framework, followed by data processing via multiple linear regression techniques utilizing IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The empirical outcomes demonstrate that on a partial level, pricing plays the most dominant positive role in driving transaction decisions, with brand identity and marketing outreach close behind in substantial positive significance. Jointly, these three independent aspects account for 76.4% of the shifts in consumer final choices. These insights offer operational references for Boolao’s management to formulate strategic price positioning, build robust brand recall, and establish interactive e-marketing campaigns on Shopee for long-term customer conversion.

Abstract

The widespread use of social media has significantly transformed how consumers particularly Generation Z obtain information about cosmetic products. Marketing strategies leveraging influencers and reinforcing brand image have become key approaches for companies seeking to drive consumer purchase intention. This study examines the impact of influencer credibility and brand image on the purchase intention for cosmetic products among Generation Z in Sukoharjo Regency. Employing a quantitative approach, the study surveyed 100 respondents selected via purposive sampling based on criteria such as belonging to Generation Z and having prior experience purchasing cosmetic products. Data were collected using Google Forms and analyzed via Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4 software. The results indicate that both influencer credibility and brand image exert a positive and significant influence on purchase intention for cosmetic products. Notably, brand image was found to contribute more significantly than influencer credibility to driving consumer purchase intention. These findings offer important implications for the cosmetics industry, highlighting the need for selectivity in choosing highly credible influencers while simultaneously strengthening brand image through targeted, effective marketing strategies designed to reach and engage Generation Z as a key market segment.
