Abstract

Through an analysis of the book Ayyuhal Walad, this study seeks to understand the concept of professionalism among Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers from Imam Al-Ghazali's point of view. This study employs a qualitative methodology that incorporates content analysis and library research methods. The research results show that Imam Ghazali implicitly explains the professionalism of PAI teachers through three terms, namely mursyid, wa’idz, and mudzakir. A mursyid is required to have a prophetic attitude and validation of knowledge through a chain of transmission connected to the Prophet. Meanwhile, wa’idz and mudzakir are required to adopt a moderate approach in conveying knowledge and to have the correct methods and intentions in educating. From the exposition, it can be concluded that the professionalism of PAI teachers according to Imam Ghazali in the book Ayyuhal Walad encompasses four important elements contained in these three terms, namely having a prophetic attitude, valid scientific validation, a moderate approach in conveying knowledge, and the use of correct methods and intentions. These findings imply the need for the integration of spiritual, moral, and pedagogical values in forming a comprehensive standard of professionalism for PAI teachers.

Abstract

Arabic language learning in the global era demands linguistic mastery combined with cross-cultural competence. However, Arabic learning practices in Islamic schools (madrasah) in Indonesia are still textual and less contextual, so that students' interests and communicative skills are limited. This study aims to formulate a local culture-based Arabic language learning model through an ethno-edutainment approach as an adaptive curriculum innovation for the 21st century. The method used is library research with an analytical-critical approach, exploring the latest literature (2021–2025) related to Arabic language learning, local culture, edutainment, Islamic school, and global education. The analysis was carried out through content analysis and conceptual synthesis to design a holistic model framework. The results of the study indicate that: a) Arabic language learning in the challenges of global education, b) Local culture as a source of Arabic language learning, c) The concept of ethno-edutainment in a theoretical perspective, d) Design of a conceptual model for Arabic language learning based on ethno-edutainment, e) Opportunities and challenges of ethno-edutainment as a curriculum innovation in Islamic schools. The contribution of this research is theoretical by expanding the study of culture-based Arabic language learning, and practical as a guide for learning design, creative media development, and curriculum innovation that connects local identity with the demands of global education.

Abstract

This study explores the philosophical foundations of the objectives of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah) through a systems approach as articulated by Jasser Auda in his work Maqāṣid Asy-Syarī‘ah Kafalsafah li At-Tasyri‘ Al-Islāmī: Ru’yah Mandhumiyah. The urgency of this research lies in the increasing demand to reinterpret Islamic law in order to address the complexities of contemporary society while maintaining its foundational principles. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, focusing on Auda’s conceptual framework and its implications for the philosophy of Islamic law. The findings reveal that Auda’s systems approach redefines maqāṣid as a dynamic and holistic framework emphasizing justice, public interest, and human dignity. This perspective challenges rigid textual interpretations and proposes a flexible methodology that aligns Islamic law with the realities of modern life. Auda’s approach significantly contributes to contemporary discourse on Islamic jurisprudence by presenting maqāṣid as a living philosophy capable of adapting to evolving societal contexts

Abstract

Eskalasi persentase gangguan kecemasan remaja menuntut institusi pendidikan untuk segera mengoptimalkan mata pelajaran bermuatan karakter sebagai instrumen mitigasi yang melekat pada rutinitas akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gagasan konstruktif terkait transformasi materi Pendidikan Agama Islam agar memiliki daya internalisasi nilai spiritual yang fungsional dalam mengelola kecemasan peserta didik. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap empat informan kunci yang terdiri dari akademisi ahli dan guru praktisi di tingkat sekolah menengah atas. Pengolahan data dilakukan secara manual menggunakan pendekatan hibrida yang mengintegrasikan analisis tematik dan metode komparasi konstan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja saat ini menghadapi stresor ekologis yang berlapis, mulai dari beban ekspektasi keluarga hingga disrupsi media sosial. Menghadapi kondisi tersebut, nilai-nilai spiritual seperti tawakal, sabar, dan ikhlas terbukti beroperasi secara efektif sebagai penilaian koping sekunder yang mampu mereduksi ketegangan psikologis. Efektivitas ini sangat bertolak belakang dengan pendekatan pedagogi usang yang berbasis pada dogma ancaman hukuman. Keberhasilan fungsionalisasi nilai sangat bergantung pada inovasi pendidik yang mengedepankan asesmen kebutuhan emosional awal, dialog personal dari hati ke hati, serta modifikasi metode pembelajaran yang berpusat pada pengalaman siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa materi agama memiliki kapasitas transformatif sebagai sarana terapeutik jika didukung oleh pedagogi adaptif. Implikasi utama dari studi ini merekomendasikan perlunya transformasi kurikulum mikro dan penciptaan ekosistem kolaborasi yang terstruktur antara guru mata pelajaran dengan konselor sekolah guna membangun ketahanan mental remaja secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di jenjang sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) kerap tereduksi menjadi pemenuhan target kognitif semata, meninggalkan esensi fundamentalnya dalam pembentukan karakter dan soft skill. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dan mendeskripsikan pengalaman subjektif siswa dalam memaknai kontribusi pembelajaran PAI terhadap pembentukan adab dan budaya belajar. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi fenomenologi, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi naturalistik dan wawancara mendalam terhadap sepuluh siswa berprestasi serta seorang guru PAI di SMKN 1 Cipanas. Hasil analisis tematik hermeneutik mengungkap empat temuan utama. Pertama, internalisasi nilai PAI secara fundamental menggeser paradigma siswa untuk menempatkan adab di atas ilmu, yang termanifestasi dalam kemampuan presisi menyeleksi lingkungan pergaulan toksik. Kedua, penerapan pendekatan dakwah persuasif dan praktik lapangan, seperti simulasi pemulasaraan jenazah, terbukti sukses menciptakan pengalaman belajar bermakna yang meruntuhkan resistensi afektif siswa. Ketiga, kesadaran spiritual yang terbangun berupa rutinitas ibadah mandiri berfungsi sebagai jangkar emosional yang secara efektif menetralisasi tekanan stres akademik vokasional. Keempat, terjadi transformasi pola pikir kesuksesan dari orientasi egosentris-materialistis menuju etos berprestasi holistik yang berdimensi ukhrawi. Temuan ini menyimpulkan bahwa PAI bukanlah mata pelajaran pelengkap kurikulum, melainkan katalisator struktural utama pembentuk soft skill dan resiliensi moral siswa. Implikasi riset ini menawarkan landasan bagi model integrasi pendidikan agama dan vokasi untuk mencetak lulusan industri yang paripurna dan berintegritas tinggi.

Abstract

This article examines the development of Islamic Education (PAI) learning materials through a systemic approach that views education as an interconnected and interdependent process. Education is conceptualized as a system composed of curriculum, learning objectives, learners’ characteristics, instructional strategies, media, and assessment—all of which operate in an integrated manner. Within this framework, learning materials are not merely content to be delivered but pedagogical instruments that connect Islamic educational goals with classroom practices. The article outlines the systemic foundations of PAI material development, design principles aligned with curriculum standards, and structural components of learning materials that support cognitive, affective, and psychomotor integration. It further discusses various types and formats of PAI materials suitable for basic and secondary education, including printed materials, visual media, digital resources, and experiential learning tools. By embedding Islamic values, contextual relevance, and meaningful activities, systemic-based learning materials enhance the effectiveness of instruction and contribute to sustainable character formation. This article highlights the essential role of teachers in designing purposeful, flexible, and adaptive learning materials that respond to students’ needs and the challenges of contemporary education.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi Natural Language Processing (NLP) berbasis Transformer telah mendorong inovasi dalam sistem Question Answering (QA). Dalam konteks pembelajaran hadis di Pendidikan Agama Islam, akses terhadap koleksi Kutubut Tis’ah masih menghadapi kendala dalam pencarian informasi yang cepat dan kontekstual. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem cerdas yang mampu memahami pertanyaan pengguna dan memberikan jawaban yang relevan secara otomatis. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem Question Answering berbasis Transformer dengan memanfaatkan model pra-latih BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers). Tahapan penelitian meliputi pengumpulan dan praproses data hadis Kutubut Tis’ah, anotasi dataset, perancangan arsitektur model, pelatihan, serta pengujian sistem. Dataset dibagi menjadi data latih dan data uji dengan proporsi 80:20. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan metrik Exact Match (EM) dan F1-score untuk mengukur performa model. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa model yang dikembangkan memperoleh nilai Exact Match (EM) sebesar 78,6% dan F1-score sebesar 86,3%. Sistem mampu memberikan jawaban yang relevan dan kontekstual terhadap berbagai variasi pertanyaan pengguna, serta berhasil mengidentifikasi bagian teks hadis yang sesuai sebagai jawaban dengan tingkat akurasi yang baik. Penerapan model Transformer terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pencarian informasi hadis dibandingkan metode konvensional berbasis pencocokan kata kunci. Sistem ini berpotensi menjadi media pembelajaran hadis yang interaktif, efisien, dan mudah diakses.

Abstract

The issue of unregistered polygamous marriage without the consent of the first wife continues to generate debate within the discourse of Islamic family law in Indonesia, particularly when such practices involve public figures whose personal actions attract broad public attention. This study aims to analyze the legal status and socio-legal implications of unregistered polygamous marriages conducted without the consent of the first wife within the framework of Indonesian Islamic family law. The research employs a qualitative approach using a socio-legal method that combines doctrinal analysis of legal regulations with an examination of social dynamics surrounding the practice of marriage. The study focuses on the interaction between Islamic jurisprudential principles, national marriage legislation, and public discourse, with particular reference to the public controversy involving Inara Rusli and Insanul Fahmi. The findings show that Indonesian marriage law, particularly Law No. 1 of 1974 and the Compilation of Islamic Law, establishes a regulatory framework that permits polygamy under strict conditions, including judicial approval, financial capability, and the consent of the first wife. However, the practice of unregistered marriage allows individuals to bypass these legal requirements, creating a gap between religious legitimacy and legal recognition. When such practices involve public figures, the issue often evolves into a broader public debate concerning the relationship between religious norms, state legal authority, and social perceptions of marriage. The study concludes that strengthening legal awareness and ensuring compliance with marriage registration procedures are essential for protecting family rights and maintaining legal certainty within Indonesian Islamic family law
