Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the knowledge and skills of Posyandu (integrated health service post) cadres and mothers regarding stunting and nutritional interventions. These nutritional interventions are implemented by providing additional nutritious food for toddlers through the Gerakan Dapur Sehat (healthy kitchen movement). The additional food is intended to fulfill balanced nutrition by utilizing local food ingredients. This community service activity applies a participatory training method combined with demonstrations and direct practical guidance. This activity was carried out in several stages, namely planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The training was held in Sanggra Agung Village, Socah District, Bangkalan Regency, on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Twenty-one posyandu volunteers, along with several mothers of toddlers, attended this community service activity. Through this program, the training participants successfully practiced making supplementary food for toddlers using easily available food ingredients. Participants made mackerel rice puree with carrots, macaroni and cheese with minced chicken, and sweet corn and yellow squash puree. In addition to gaining knowledge and skills about complementary foods for infants, participants were also equipped with the use of processing tools and the appropriate food texture based on the infants' ages.

Abstract

This study investigates how students from Trunojoyo Madura University (UTM) conducted anti-bullying socialization in the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-T) program on August 9, 2025, at SDN 3 Jaddih, Socah District, Bangkalan Regency.  The purpose of this activity was to respond to the numerous cases of bullying in elementary schools and social media. The focus of this activity was to raise awareness among fifth-grade students about the dangers of bullying on social relationships and mental health from an early age.  Conceptual socialization, experience sharing, educational games such as role-playing, and the introduction of the slogan “Bullying NO, Good Friends YES” were some of the methods used.  Fifty fifth-grade students, along with teachers and the principal, were the main participants. Data was collected through direct observation of the activities, casual conversations with participants, and recording various findings in the field. The results showed that the students were very enthusiastic; some of them shared their experiences of bullying or being victims, such as being beaten or ridiculed.  The educational games successfully improved the students' understanding, while the appreciation given by the school showed that this was in line with the school's efforts to create a friendly learning environment.  The results of the discussion were linked to active learning theory and emphasized the possibility of reducing incidents of abuse. This activity demonstrates that anti bullying outreach can be effective preventive strategy for raising elementary school students awareness of the dangers of bullying. Therefore, it is recommended that similiar programs be implemented on an ongoing basis, involving teachers and parents. So, that bullying preventation efforts can be carried out more effectively.

Abstract

A limited understanding of the structure and proper format of job application letters and curricula vitae often hinders vocational high school students from entering the workforce. To address this issue, the authors conducted a community service program in the form of training for 41 twelfth-grade students at SMK NU 2 Glagah, where many students were found to make errors in preparing job application letters and curricula vitae. The program employed the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which combines action and reflection through a cyclical process to promote learning and continuous improvement. The training aimed to enhance students' knowledge and skills in writing job application letters and curricula vitae using Canva. The implementation consisted of four stages: delivering instructional materials, introducing the operation of Canva, guiding students in preparing job application letters and curricula vitae, and conducting evaluation and dissemination of the results. The findings showed that: (1) in terms of the structure and format of job application letters and curricula vitae, 10 students achieved an excellent rating, 21 received a good rating, and 10 were rated fairly good; (2) regarding sentence construction in job application letters prepared using Canva, 4 students achieved an excellent rating, 12 received a good rating, and the remaining 25 were rated fairly good; and (3) regarding the selection of Canva design templates, 14 students achieved an excellent rating, 14 received a good rating, and 13 were rated fairly good. Overall, the training improved students' ability to use Canva and prepare job application letters and curricula vitae effectively. Students' creativity in writing job application letters can be further enhanced through continuous writing practice both at school and at home, supported by regular reading activities.

Abstract

Character education strengthening is an urgent necessity in preparing for Indonesia’s Golden Generation 2045. Early Childhood Education (ECE) plays a strategic role as the foundational stage for character formation. This community service program aims to develop an Islamic character-building model based on synergy between teachers and parents in ECE institutions across Dukun District. The program applies an integrated approach consisting of training, habituation, actualization, and continuous monitoring. The methods employed include paradigm-based training on character education, value habituation in both school and home environments, practical implementation in daily life, and sustained mentoring. The findings reveal a significant increase in collective awareness among teachers and parents regarding shared responsibility in character education. Furthermore, value alignment between school and home environments was successfully established, leading to more consistent and stable character internalization in children. Parental participation also increased substantially, shifting from passive involvement to active partnership in shaping children’s character development. The staged process from understanding to habituation proved effective in strengthening value internalization into children’s daily behavior. Moreover, the model demonstrates strong sustainability potential through the involvement of HIMPAUDI, enabling broader replication across ECE institutions. Overall, the model effectively contributes to the development of a collaborative, systematic, and sustainable character education ecosystem at the early childhood level. This program also contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), by promoting inclusive, equitable, and quality education through strengthened character education and school–family collaboration, as well as SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through reinforced multi-stakeholder cooperation among teachers, parents, and professional organizations in advancing sustainable education.

Abstract

Adolescence is a very important developmental phase characterized by significant physical, psychological, and social changes. At this stage, adolescents are vulnerable to deviant behavior due to the process of self-identity search and the influence of the surrounding environment. This community service activity aims to increase students' understanding and awareness of deviant behavior through socialization activities at the Sunan Drajat Lamongan Islamic Boarding School The method of implementing this community service activity is carried out through an educational-participatory approach consisting of several stages, namely: (1) the preparation stage, including identifying partner needs, coordination with the manager of the Sunan Drajat Islamic Boarding School, and the preparation of socialization materials; (2) the implementation stage, in the form of delivering material on the prevention of deviant behavior, strengthening the character of students, interactive discussions, and question and answer sessions; and (3) the evaluation stage, which is carried out through observation of participant participation, reflective discussion, and submission of feedback to determine the level of understanding of the students to the material provided. This approach aims to increase the knowledge, awareness, and commitment of students in applying character values and avoiding deviant behavior in the pesantren environment.with a participatory model through observation, interactive lectures, group discussions, and simple evaluations. The participants of the activity amounted to 45 students aged 15-18 years. The socialization material includes the definition of deviant behavior, its forms, causative factors, and its impact on individuals and the social environment The results of the activity show that students participate in the entire series of socialization with enthusiasm, actively participate in discussion and question and answer sessions, and are able to identify various forms of deviant behavior and their prevention efforts based on the material that has been delivered. Before the activity, the understanding of the students was still limited to violating the rules of the pesantren. However, after the activity, students were able to explain the concept of deviant behavior more comprehensively, identify the causative factors, and understand the impact. An interactive and participatory approach has been shown to be effective in increasing participant engagement and understanding. In conclusion, this socialization activity is an effective preventive strategy in suppressing the potential for deviant behavior in adolescents in the pesantren environment. It is necessary to have a sustainable implementation and collaboration between educators and Islamic boarding schools to strengthen the character formation of students.

Abstract

This community service study aims to analyze the implementation of an ecolistic-based student character development model through the Pondok Ramadhan program, integrating community service (PKM) and teaching practicum (PPL) at SMAN 20 Surabaya. The program was conducted from 23 to 26 February 2026, involving approximately 900 students and a collaborative partnership among lecturers, postgraduate students of Islamic Education, and school stakeholders. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the integration of PKM and PPL creates a collaborative, holistic, and participatory learning ecosystem. The ecolistic approach, which integrates spiritual (ilahiyah), social (insaniyah), and contextual (kauniyah) dimensions, proves effective in enhancing students’ religious character, social ethics, and moral awareness, particularly in responding to the challenges of the digital era. Furthermore, the program contributes to improving postgraduate students’ pedagogical, professional, and spiritual competencies through authentic learning experiences. The novelty of this study lies in the development of an integrative PKM–PPL model based on an ecolistic approach as an adaptive strategy for character education tailored to Generation Z. This program demonstrates that experiential religious activities can serve as an innovative and sustainable model for contextual character education.
