Abstract

Abstrak. Learning is currently transitioning to digital learning. This encourages teachers to create a learning environment that can support students’ learning. The results of PISA 2018 show that students' mathematics learning in Indonesia is not good. This is partly due to the low interest in learning mathematics. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase students' interest in learning mathematics. One of them uses mathematical modeling learning. The purpose of this study was to analyze how the influence of learning mathematical modeling on students' interest in learning. This study used a design research approach focused on the retrospective analysis stage with quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results showed that learning mathematical modeling had a positive effect on students' interest in learning. In addition, students' interest in learning can also be shown when learning takes place. Students participate actively during learning activities, ask questions when needed help, and collaborate with each other. It is hoped that with this research, teachers can use the mathematical modeling learning environment as a learning reference.

Abstract

Abstrak. Teaching English to Young Learners started in 1994 at the elementary school level. 2022 will be the first year for English as an elective subject in the Merdeka Curriculum. As the name implies, there is no obligation for schools to use this curriculum. As an example, the Integrated Islamic Elementary School is one of the levels that are acquainted with this curriculum only in grades one and four. Although it has a mission to integrate the curriculum of the Ministry of National Education and the curriculum of the Integrated Islamic School, in reality not all English teachers in Islamic schools easily integrate their spiritual values. It aims to integrate spirituality in teaching English to young learners at the elementary school level by applying Independent Curriculum-based and specialist. This research and development are a bridge in answering the teacher's needs for this. The results of this research are teachers need a reference for integrating spirituality in teaching English as a subject in an Integrated Islamic school that combines the Independent Curriculum with the Integrated Islamic Elementary School Curriculum. In language skills development, reading and writing become the focus of the average teacher. Meanwhile, teachers are also obliged to develop complete skills in the Merdeka curriculum, namely listening, speaking, reading, viewing, writing, and presenting.

Abstract

Abstrak. The purpose of this research is to describes the musical ecosystem in Ambon City in the form of a collab between three educational pathways, namely informal, formal and non-formal education as a form of community-based art education implementation. As one of the cities in the world that received the UNESCO Creative City of Music Award, the government and the people of Ambon City are demanded to continue to create and innovate in the development of music while maintaining the predicate as a World Music City. Implementing community-based art education is a strategy to further improve the community's musical ecosystem. This study uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies related to the object of research. The results showed that in the city of Ambon, the implementation of community-based art education already exists, but not so visible. After becoming a World Music City, there are municipal government programs through Ambon Music Office (AMO) which involves three lines of education and it has a positive impact on the local community. However, the collaboration has not been implemented widely and deeply in schools that are piloting local content curriculum based on traditional music whereas in the region there are artists and art communities that strongly support the program. If there is awareness from artists, schools and art communities who take the initiative to work together to develop music in their regions this collaboration of three educational pathways will have a major impact on Ambon City as a Music City even without the initiative of the city government. Key words: Community-Based Art Education

Abstract

Abstrak. Senyawa is a place for sound experimentation by two of its personnel, namely Rully Shabara and Wukir Suryadi. Senyawa fans always look forward to exploration, both in every show and in every album. This study aims to identify, analyze, and describe the musical exploration carried out by Senyawa in the Membaladakan Keselamatan album. The research method used is a qualitative method. The focus in this research is the description of the exploration practices carried out by the two Senyawa personnel in the Membaladakan Keselamatan Album. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained data that in the making of the Membaladakan Keselamatan Album a plan was not carried out, but only the result of practice behavior that occurred organically. However, even though Senyawa is an experimental musical group, for Senyawa, practice is the most important thing in a creative process. Especially in the Membaladakan Keselamatan Album, this album is a very experimental album for Senyawa, because making normal songs as usual for Senyawa is something out of the ordinary. Especially in the Membaladakan Keselamatan Album, Senyawa is challenged in the genre that is presented, namely Ballads. The vocal and acoustic guitar explorations in the Membaladakan Keselamatan Album seem simple but the purpose of this album is to reinforce the public's definition of Senyawa, especially to appreciators who often define the strangeness of Senyawa exploration as well as with the use of obscure lyrics. The implication of this research is to provide information about the importance of independence in working in order to become a more complete entity.

Abstract

Abstrak. The incapability to manage emotion and feeling makes learners triggered to commit inappropriate conformity feelings. Rational emotive behavior counseling becomes an intervention model to relieve anxiety and to help the counseling process in measuring feelings and emotions. This research determined the contribution of the rational emotive counseling behavior model to developing learners' positive conformity. This ex post facto research applied true experimental design. The research subjects consisted of 20 learners. Then, the researchers grouped them into two groups. They were an experimental group with 10 learners and a control group with the other 10 learners. The applied data collecting techniques were measured through interviews and a positive conformity instrument consisting of 32 items. The obtained coefficient of Cronbach Alpha was 0.802. The data analysis applied inferential analysis with the t-test formula. The rational emotive behavior counseling model significantly influenced the experimental group’s improvement. The applied counseling model, rational emotive behavior, was effective to improve the learners’ positive conformity. Both groups, experimental and control groups, experienced significant and different improvements. The experimental group had significantly improved positive conformity to the control group. Thus, the rational-emotive counseling model was effective to develop the positive conformity of the learners.
