Abstract

Under the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 the Year 2020 about National Standard of Higher Education and Guidance of Freedom to Learn-Independent Campus (MBKM Curriculum) Year 2020, a higher education institution has the responsibility to encourage students to have learning experiences outside the study program (Prodi) and outside home university for maximum 3 semesters. The learning experiences that the students got from outside the Study Program and home university must be transferred into academic recognition equal to 20 credits. To meet this demand, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) through MBKM Body in each faculty initiated a program that can be transferred into academic recognition equal to 12 credits namely MBKM UNNES PRIGEL Program or simply the PRIGEL program. MBKM UNNES PRIGEL is developed from Internship Program (PKL) having 12 credits-academic recognition. This paper examines how an internship program in higher education can support the implementation of the MBKM curriculum, especially in the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), Universitas Negeri Semarang. A qualitative method was employed to conduct this study specifically using the PDCA method proposed by Deming in Swamidass (2000). Two main issues faced by the Faculty MBKM coordinator in UNNES are 1) designing the form of learning activities (BKP), 2) meeting the academic requirements and policy. Key strategies for supporting the policy and the development of the form of learning activity (BKP) are discussed in this paper.

Abstract

Today pocketbooks as a media to learn Indonesian language have started to be developed by various institutions which enrol the program in Teaching Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA). Pocketbook is used as an alternative teaching material to increase foreign students’ Indonesian vocabulary not only that, but also aims to introduce Indonesian culture. Indonesian cultural values must be understood by foreign speakers, thus they can adapt well with Indonesian society. The method that is used by the researcher is experimental study. The data is gathered by conducting Indonesian language vocabulary tests before and after the students learn the pocketbook. The data is analyzed by implementing an independence exam. The research shows that after the students learned from the Pocketbook containing cultural content, they have shown significant ability in mastering Indonesian vocabulary compared to those with controlled groups. Besides, the foreign students also started to recognize cultural values around the environment they live in. For example, the foreign students who are studying in Jenderal Soedirman University, have shown the attitude that they have understood cultural customs and values in Banyumas Regency. It shows that the usage of Indonesian Language Pocketbook has proven to be effective in increasing foreign students' Indonesian vocabulary and as a media to understand cultural customs and values which exist in Indonesia. Therefore, an Indonesian Language Pocketbook which contains cultural content can be an effective alternative that supports the learning process of Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers. This finding hopefully can help to increase the program efficiency to the learning process of Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) in Indonesia.

Abstract

Creating a young generation with noble character is the goal of national education, which is a shared responsibility between schools, families, and communities. Strengthening character in children is important to keep up with the pace of technology and information development, which has a negative impact on the development of children's attitudes and character. The article departs from research that aims to describe the form of integration of the school curriculum and family curriculum as an optimization of the family's role in strengthening student character. Using qualitative methods, the research was conducted in three junior high schools located in urban areas, namely SMPIT Al-Uswah Surabaya, SMPIT At-Taqwa Surabaya, and SMP Darul Quran Surakarta. The research was conducted from 2019 to 2021, precisely before and after the Covid-19 Pandemic. The results showed that the integration of school and family curriculum plays an important role in strengthening student character. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, SMPIT Al Uswah and SMPIT At-Taqwa Surabaya, which were not based on boarding schools, had involved families in student character building. The form of this involvement is providing observation instruments for daily activities such as shalat, tadarus al-quran, fasting on Monday and Thursday, helping parents, and others. The results of observations made by parents will add to the assessment of student affection at the end of each semester. While the integration of the school and family curriculum during the Covid-19 Pandemic is more visible, where in addition to parents being involved in assessing daily non-academic activities, parents also play a role in preparing, facilitating, and accompanying the online teaching and learning process. This can be seen in the implementation of distance learning implemented at SMP Darul Quran Surakarta, which is based on boarding school.

Abstract

In previous research, an information system based on an android application called Giziku Baik App was built. Even now, this application has entered the play store. Through e-books on stunting and adolescent nutrition. However, this application has several drawbacks, namely that cellphone owners can only use it with the Android operating system. IOS users among teenagers are increasing and dominating compared to ordinary Android phones. So the Giziku Baik App needs to be developed based on IOS or something else so anyone can use it. However, developing IOS-based applications takes a long time; sometimes, not everyone is willing and able to operate. Therefore, it is necessary to build a web-based Giziku Baik App so that it can be easily used by whoever owns the link. This study aims to develop a website-based information system for the Giziku Baik application using agile development methods. Giziku Baik App web-based used agile method to develop the information systems. Its consist of planning until demonstration. This paper show running system analysis, Giziku Baik web-based process design, database design, deployment diagram, and user interface. it can be concluded that developing a website-based Giziku Baik application using the agile developmental method can produce accurate and quality information because it uses a standardized median from the relevant ministry. In addition, users, in this case, teenagers, can use the app-based Giziku Baik to find out the results of the examination and get feedback on their nutritional status.
