Abstract

Human Resource Management (HRDM) in Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping professional and educational educators with noble character. This article aims to examine the basic concepts of HRDM from the perspective of Islamic education, emphasizing the importance of integrating spiritual, moral, and professional values in the management of human resources in Islamic educational institutions. This research utilizes the library research method, analyzing various relevant literature, journals, and research findings. The study results indicate that HRDM in Islamic education is not only focused on efficiency and productivity, but also on applying Islamic principles such as trust, justice, responsibility, and cooperation in every managerial aspect. The main functions of HRDM in Islamic education include planning, organizing, directing, supervising, and developing individual potential based on Islamic values. The ultimate goal is to create human resources who are competent, possess good morals, and are able to make a positive contribution to the progress of educational institutions and the benefit of the people. Thus, the basic concept of HRDM from an Islamic perspective becomes an important foundation for realizing an education system that is holistic, equitable, and oriented toward Divine values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group counseling using the enactive mastery experience technique in improving students' self-efficacy in career decision making. The research was conducted at SMA X involving six students aged 17-18 years with low self-efficacy levels. The study applied a quasi- experimental approach with pre-test and post-test design using the Career Decision- Making Self-Efficacy (CDMSE) scale adapted from Purnama and Ernawati (2021). The intervention consisted of four group counseling stages: formation, transition, activity, and termination. The results showed a significant increase in students' self-efficacy from a mean score of 31.5 (low category) in the pre-test to 46.83 (high category) in the post-test. These findings indicate that group counseling with enactive mastery experience techniques effectively enhances students' confidence in recognizing their potential, setting career goals, and planning future education and work paths. This research suggests that group counseling can be an effective strategy for strengthening career decision-making skills among high school students.

Abstract

This study investigates the maintenance of the Indonesian language within the linguistic landscape of Politeknik Negeri Bali by examining the forms, functions, dominance, and linguistic accuracy of public signage across the campus. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, visual documentation, and sign analysis of room nameplates, safety signs, campus service boards, campaign posters, and other informational media. The results indicate that Indonesian strongly dominates official (top-down) signage, reflecting institutional commitment to the national language as the primary medium of communication. In contrast, English appears more frequently in student-produced (bottom-up) signs, particularly for events and promotional activities, creating symbolic competition between languages. The Balinese language is minimally represented in the campus landscape. These findings suggest that Indonesian language maintenance remains robust, yet further reinforcement—such as language standardization and greater integration of local languages—is still needed to support a balanced multilingual environment.

Abstract

The development of modern science has opened new spaces for dialogue between science and religion, including within Qur’anic exegesis. QS. al-Mu’minūn [23]: 12–14 is often referenced in embryological studies because it contains a description of human creation that appears consistent with modern biological processes. The main problem of this study lies in two aspects: the application of Fazlur Rahman’s hermeneutics through the Double Movement theory in understanding contemporary interpretations, and the identification of methodological limitations when the scientific approach is used dominantly by Tantāwī al-Jawharī and Zaghlūl al-Najjār. The purpose of this research is to examine the balance between scientific, moral, and spiritual dimensions in both interpretations. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, analyzing the text, historical context, and its relevance to modern scientific understanding. The results indicate that al-Jawharī emphasizes the spiritual and moral aspects of scientific interpretation, viewing science as a means to strengthen faith, whereas al-Najjār highlights empirical aspects and the scientific miracle (iʿjāz ʿilmī). Through Rahman’s hermeneutical framework, both demonstrate a serious effort to bridge revelation and science, yet methodological limitations arise when Qur’anic meanings are overly adjusted to scientific theories. This study concludes that the application of the Double Movement theory helps to position scientific interpretation proportionally so that the spiritual and moral meanings of the Qur’an remain preserved amid the dynamics of modern scientific development.

Abstract

This study aims to critically examine Amina Wadud’s interpretation methodology of Q.S. An-Nisa’ [4]:11 and compare it with the classical exegesis of Al-Tabari and the contemporary approach of Quraish Shihab. The research focuses on an epistemological and methodological analysis to explore how differences in interpretative paradigms narrative-based, rational, and feminist affect the understanding of the inheritance verse. The study employs a descriptive-comparative method using qualitative library research. The results show that Al-Tabari interprets the verse through the riwayah-based and juristic consensus approach, emphasizing proportional justice according to Islamic law, while Quraish Shihab applies a contextual-rational method while maintaining textual norms. In contrast, Amina Wadud interprets the verse from a gender justice perspective, rejecting literal readings in favor of social equality. The methodological critique highlights that Wadud’s hermeneutic-contemporary approach tends to over-contextualize the text, potentially shifting the normative meaning of the Qur’an.

Abstract

Technological innovation is needed as a breakthrough effort to ensure the continuous development of learning. In Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, the Covid-19 pandemic has become a momentum for the use of interactive application media to improve learning effectiveness. One such application, the Smart Creator application, has proven to help facilitate the learning of Basic Tajweed in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at the elementary school level. This study applied research and development (R&D) methods to produce an interactive Basic Tajweed application. Data were collected through interviews and a questionnaire analyzing learning media needs. Media development was carried out using Smart App Creator because it is easy to use and able to integrate various learning support media. The results showed that the use of Smart App Creator interactive multimedia in Basic Tajweed material can increase student activity, creativity, and thinking skills, thus impacting improved learning outcomes. Students' understanding of basic Tajweed also showed a positive response. This media is considered interesting, easy to use, and has clear instructions, thus fostering learning interest until the end of the lesson. Therefore, this interactive multimedia is suitable for teachers to use as an innovative, varied, and not boring learning medium.

Abstract

The behavioral shift of Generation Z in the digital era demands a more adaptive and holistic moral education approach in Islamic boarding schools. Consequently, the role of Islamic Education teachers (PAI teachers) must extend beyond instructional duties toward becoming authentic moral exemplars. This study aims to critically analyze students’ perceptions of PAI teachers as moral guides at Pondok Modern Darul Falach Candiroto Temanggung and to evaluate the effectiveness of the moral development strategies implemented. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, using in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that teacher exemplarity particularly in worship discipline, polite communication, behavioral modesty, and consistency forms the strongest basis for students’ positive perceptions. However, some students noted emotional inconsistency among certain teachers, which may weaken their moral authority. Regarding pedagogical strategies, personal mentoring, spiritual dialogue, and habituation through daily routines were perceived as the most effective, while digital-ethics guidance remains underdeveloped. The study concludes that effective moral development requires the integration of teacher exemplarity, empathetic interpersonal relationships, and innovative approaches aligned with the moral challenges faced by Generation Z.

Abstract

Teachers are required to have a well-rounded personality because they serve as role models for students. Teacher personality is one of the four core competencies, alongside pedagogical, professional, and social competencies. Teachers play a crucial role in shaping students who are not only intellectually capable but also spiritually mature. This study examines the thoughts of Imam al-Ghazali on teacher personality and relates them to the Indonesian teacher personality competency standards as stipulated in the Director General of Teacher and Education Regulation Number 2626 of 2023 concerning the Teacher Competency Model. Using a qualitative library research approach, this study analyzes Imam al-Ghazali’s views in Ihya Ulumuddin, particularly in the chapter al-Mu’allim wa al-Muta’allim. The results indicate that Imam al-Ghazali’s eight duties and obligations of teachers are highly relevant to the current teacher personality competency standards. This study concludes that teacher personality competence is essential, especially in the era of rapid technological and social change, since students naturally imitate their teachers’ behavior.
