Abstract

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) often face the problem of simple packaging. It needs to be recognized that products made by MSMEs are better than products made by manufacturers. However, the packaging is not attractive because the MSME products are simple. This is the reason why MSME products have limited market reach and are difficult to compete in the market, especially in modern markets. The method of implementing the Food Product Packaging Assistance activities in Kalitimbang Village uses the method of discussion, face-to-face and providing direct counseling and direct practice. The implementation of training on July 27, 2024 was in the form of providing material on good packaging procedures provided by one of Bina Bangsa University's KKM students. The session length was approximately 15 minutes which was attended by several workers and MSME owners. Implementation of practical training and tutorials on how to package attractively. By using a standing pouch and labeling the packaging. By using standing pouches and labels on this packaging itself allows MSME players to save more time and be more practical and fast in packaging these products.

Abstract

Indonesia's population reached 282,477,584 in 2024, presenting significant challenges in waste management, especially in densely populated areas. In Sidoarjo, the waste volume amounts to 598 tons per day, with a recycling rate of only 7-9%. The Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik (KKN-T) program in Bluru Kidul village aims to enhance waste management through the promotion of anaerobic composters, which convert organic waste into compost. This community service initiative involves identifying issues, observing conditions, formulating solutions, and educating on the importance of household waste management, particularly organic waste, for producing useful plant fertilizer. This outreach session provided residents of Desa Bluru Kidul with new understanding and skills to utilize used gallon containers as anaerobic composters and organic waste as raw material for oxygen-free compost, thereby supporting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12, which focuses on environmentally conscious consumption and production in villages

Abstract

In 2023, Indonesia generated 32.035 million tons of waste per year, with 49.6% coming from household waste (SIPSN, 2023). Balongwono Village in Mojokerto Regency, East Java, also faces waste problems and is an agricultural area with the majority of the population working as farmers. Vegetable production in this village is often suboptimal due to limited land and conventional farming methods. To overcome this problem, a socialization on the benefits and basic techniques of hydroponics was conducted, training on making hydroponic installations from used items, and mentoring to ensure the success of the system. The hydroponic system that utilizes used gallons and bottles as growing media aims to increase vegetable production in Balongwono Village. The results show that plants such as kale and pakcoy grow faster and fresher than conventional methods. In addition to increasing yields, this system also reduces plastic waste and lowers production costs. The implementation of this hydroponic method provides double benefits: increasing vegetable production and reducing waste. This method can be a reference for other villages with similar problems, contributing to environmental sustainability at large.

Abstract

In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, business operators must adeptly understand and evaluate information, particularly in digital formats. Within the realm of social media, digital literacy is indispensable, enabling individuals and organizations not only to utilize these platforms but also to harness them strategically and securely. Proficiency in digital literacy, which includes a comprehensive understanding of various social media features, is crucial for SMEs striving to achieve their business objectives through social media. The impact of digital literacy on social media utilization by SMEs is profound. With robust digital literacy skills, SMEs can refine their marketing strategies, produce compelling content, manage customer interactions efficiently, and safeguard their enterprises from digital threats. Conversely, insufficient digital literacy can hinder SMEs' ability to capitalize on social media opportunities and fully realize their potential. Consequently, advancing digital literacy is vital for SMEs to remain competitive and thrive in today's digital marketplace.

Abstract

Eco-enzyme-Based Hand Soap Development Program from Organic Waste in Gebang Putih Village, Surabaya, aims to reduce organic waste and increase public awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly products. Eco-enzymes, which are produced from the fermentation of organic waste such as fruit and vegetable scraps, are used as the main ingredient in the manufacture of hand soap. This process not only reduces the amount of waste that ends up in landfills, but also results in a safe and effective product for hand hygiene. This research involves several stages, including the collection and sorting of organic waste, the fermentation process to produce eco-enzymes, and the formulation and testing of the resulting hand soap. The people of Gebang Putih Village are actively involved in every stage of the process, both through education and direct participation in soap making. The results of the program show that eco-enzyme-based hand soap has good quality and is well received by the community. In addition to providing solutions to the problem of organic waste, this program also contributes to improving the local economy by providing new business opportunities for the community. Thus, this program is expected to be a model that can be replicated in other regions, in order to support environmental sustainability and community welfare.

Abstract

Empowering groups of teachers in creating differentiated learning instruments can provide effective and meaningful learning experiences for each student, considering differences in abilities, learning speed, interests, learning styles and communication styles of each student. With differentiated learning, teachers can accommodate the needs of students who differ between individuals, which has implications for creating equal rights for students in the classroom during learning. The urgency of empowering this group of teachers is that each teacher must be able to apply differentiated learning in the classroom so that students can reach their maximum potential and be motivated in the learning process.

Abstract

Digital marketing is one of the main keys to increasing the competitiveness of business actors, especially micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, the main challenge that is often faced in digital marketing is that many business actors do not yet have an understanding of the use and application of digital marketing. To overcome this problem, Tidar University KKN students carried out socialization activities at Hall RW. At the survey stage, visits were made to each MSME location. The stages of implementing socialization were carried out by bringing in speakers from the Magelang Mayor's Expert Team. The final stage is follow-up visits to each MSME location. The final aim of this activity is to provide further assistance that ensures the application of the knowledge that has been provided during socialization. By making repeat visits to MSME locations, the community service team can help business actors practice the digital marketing techniques they have learned.
