Abstract

This study explores the role of intelligent algorithms in assessing the financial feasibility of start-up entrepreneurs in Indonesia, employing a qualitative approach with insights from five key informants. Traditional financial assessment methods are found to be limited by factors such as market volatility, lack of historical data, and resource constraints. Intelligent algorithms offer transformative potential, with advantages in predictive accuracy, scenario simulations, and efficiency. However, barriers including technical expertise, cost constraints, and data availability hinder their adoption. A hybrid framework integrating qualitative insights and algorithmic tools is proposed to address these challenges and enhance decision-making for start-ups. The findings provide a practical roadmap for leveraging advanced technologies in the dynamic and diverse Indonesian start-up ecosystem.

Abstract

Women’s entrepreneurship has gained recognition as a critical factor in promoting inclusive economic development, particularly in emerging economies such as Indonesia. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of scholarly publications on women’s entrepreneurship, focusing on trends, thematic structures, and collaboration networks from 2000 to 2025. Using data retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed through VOSviewer, the study maps co-authorship patterns, co-citation networks, keyword co-occurrence clusters, and temporal evolution of research themes. The findings highlight dominant scholars, countries, and themes such as gender roles, empowerment, entrepreneurial intention, and sustainability. The overlay and density visualizations indicate a growing shift toward system-level and empowerment-related topics in recent years. However, the analysis also reveals underrepresentation of Indonesian research in global discourse. The study concludes by recommending greater international collaboration, diverse methodologies, and deeper contextual engagement to enrich the field and inform effective policy interventions.

Abstract

Green entrepreneurship has gained prominence as a transformative approach to addressing environmental challenges while promoting economic growth. Despite its growing scholarly appeal, the field remains fragmented with diverse interpretations and thematic overlaps. This study employs a bibliometric and co-word mapping analysis to explore the intellectual structure, thematic evolution, and emerging trends in green entrepreneurship literature. Drawing data from the Scopus database and analyzing it using VOSviewer, we identified key authors, collaboration networks, influential countries, and conceptual clusters shaping the field. Central themes include sustainable development, innovation, green economy, and entrepreneurship education. Temporal mapping reveals a recent shift toward educational and capability-based approaches, particularly post-2021. The study highlights the need for deeper theoretical integration, broader regional representation, and enhanced collaboration across disciplines and geographies. These findings provide a comprehensive knowledge map to guide future research, policy formulation, and entrepreneurial practices aligned with global sustainability goals.

Abstract

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of the scholarly literature on innovative entrepreneurship with a specific focus on its integration with sustainability principles. Using data from the Scopus database covering publications from 2001 to 2025, the analysis employed VOSviewer to visualize co-authorship networks, citation patterns, and keyword co-occurrence maps. The results reveal a dynamic and interdisciplinary field shaped by influential contributors such as Audretsch, Acs, and Thurik, with collaborative hubs concentrated in the United States and Europe. The conceptual core of the literature revolves around economic development, innovation activity, and entrepreneurial behavior, while recent trends point to a growing emphasis on sustainability, education, and digital transformation. Overlay and heatmap visualizations demonstrate an evolving research agenda increasingly aligned with global sustainability goals. The study identifies gaps in geographical representation and calls for further exploration of impact-driven entrepreneurship, particularly in emerging economies. These findings offer valuable insights for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners aiming to advance sustainable innovation through entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of managerial competence, innovation, and market orientation on the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 220 MSMEs and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that all three constructs significantly and positively influence MSME performance, with managerial competence demonstrating the strongest effect. Innovation fosters adaptability and competitive advantage, while market orientation enhances customer focus and market responsiveness. The results underscore the importance of strategic leadership, innovative practices, and a market-driven approach in improving MSME performance. These insights provide practical recommendations for MSME stakeholders and policymakers to drive sustainable growth and competitiveness in the sector.

Abstract

The increasing emphasis on entrepreneurship education as a means to stimulate entrepreneurial intention from an early age has generated a significant body of academic literature across diverse disciplines. This study presents a bibliometric review aimed at mapping the intellectual structure, thematic evolution, and global research trends related to the effect of education on entrepreneurial intention among young learners. Using data retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed via VOSviewer, a total of relevant publications from 2000 to 2025 were examined through co-authorship, country collaboration, and keyword co-occurrence analyses. The findings reveal that the research field is dominated by theoretical frameworks such as the Theory of Planned Behavior, with core contributions from scholars like Ajzen, Krueger, Liñán, and Fayolle. Central themes include entrepreneurial education, intention, mindset, and creativity, while recent studies increasingly address sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and curricular innovation. Geographical analysis shows strong contributions from Malaysia, China, the United States, and several European countries, with collaborative networks forming across regions. The temporal keyword overlay further highlights the transition from foundational behavioral research to applied and values-driven themes in recent years. Despite the field’s maturity, research gaps remain, including the lack of longitudinal data, limited cultural diversity, and minimal integration of informal or digital learning environments. This study provides valuable insights for researchers, educators, and policymakers seeking to advance the design and implementation of impactful entrepreneurship education programs aimed at nurturing future entrepreneurs from early developmental stages.

Abstract

This study explores the determinants of social and environmental sustainability in new business initiation in Indonesia using qualitative analysis based on insights from five informants, including entrepreneurs, policymakers, and environmental experts. Four key dimensions—stakeholder engagement, regulatory frameworks, cultural values, and resource availability—emerged as critical to sustainability practices. Findings highlight that effective stakeholder engagement fosters trust and accountability, cultural values such as gotong royong align with sustainability principles, and regulatory frameworks offer guidance but face enforcement challenges. Limited access to financial and technological resources remains a significant barrier. The interplay of these determinants underscores the need for integrated strategies to promote sustainability in Indonesian start-ups. The study contributes to understanding how local context shapes sustainable entrepreneurship and offers actionable insights for policymakers and entrepreneurs.
