Abstract

Gender equality and women's empowerment are key elements in achieving sustainable social, economic and cultural development. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the Human Development Index (HDI) of women in Indonesia using a multiple regression model. The independent variables used in this research are the percentage of women's poverty (X1) and women's life expectancy (X2), which were chosen based on their relevance to improving women's quality of life. The data used is sourced from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency and covers the relevant period for analysis. The analysis tool uses multiple regression. This research evaluates the extent to which these two variables influence women's HDI in Indonesia. The results of the analysis show that variables X1 and X2 have different influences on women's HDI. Based on the research results, it is recommended that women's development policies focus more on reducing poverty, increasing access to education for women of productive age, and improving the quality of life to increase women's life expectancy. This research provides insight for policy designers in formulating more effective programs to improve the quality of life of women in Indonesia.

Abstract

The BRICS group, made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, has become an influential instrument of international law, especially with respect to its promotion of sovereignty and the policy of non-intervention. The paper discusses both the collective and individual contribution of BRICS countries toward the interpretation and implementation of these principles through a normative juridical perspective. The findings reveal that while BRICS upholds state sovereignty and is against unilateral interventions, huge variations between member states remain because of the diverse historical, cultural, and strategic contexts in which they are situated. Case studies, including Russia's actions in Crimea and China's South China Sea policies, highlight both alignment and contradictions within the bloc. While BRICS contributes to the positive promotion of sovereignty and the espousal of multilateralism in global governance, challenges in terms of incoherent practices and lack of cohesion remain. The present research underlines BRICS' potential to lead a multipolar international legal system in striking a balance between state autonomy and collective responsibility.

Abstract

This study explores the legal frameworks, enforcement challenges, and economic implications of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in BRICS countries—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—using a normative juridical approach and qualitative analysis. The findings reveal significant disparities in the governance of IPR among these nations, with China and India leading in innovation and enforcement reforms, while Brazil, Russia, and South Africa face persistent challenges related to institutional capacity and judicial delays. Despite progress in aligning with international standards such as TRIPS, enforcement gaps and socio-economic priorities influence the effectiveness of IPR systems. The study also highlights the dual economic impact of IPR: fostering innovation and investment while raising concerns over access to essential goods. This research underscores the need for harmonized frameworks, enhanced enforcement mechanisms, and a balanced approach to innovation and equity in BRICS countries.

Abstract

This research explores the relationship between anxiety over math learning, the ability of time management, and emotional support on students' academic achievement among junior high school students in Indonesia. The data collected from 120 participants is assessed within a quantitative research design where surveys were administered using the 1-5 Likert scale. The tool to be used for analysis is known as structural equation modeling, partial least square-PLS3. The results indicated that math learning anxiety negatively impacts academic achievement, while time management ability and emotional support facilitate improvement in academic achievement. Both time management ability and emotional support act as mediators in the relationship between math learning anxiety and academic performance. These results highlight the need to reduce anxiety, develop time management skills, and build emotional support to improve students' academic performance. The study provides actionable insights for educators, parents, and policymakers in providing a supportive educational environment that ensures holistic student development.
