Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of hybrid work and digital leadership style on employee performance, with work-life balance as a mediating variable in technology startup environments. A quantitative explanatory design was applied to test the proposed relationships among variables. Data were collected through surveys of 200 employees working in hybrid-based technology startups across Java. The analysis used Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate both direct and indirect effects between constructs. The results indicate that hybrid work has no significant direct effect on employee performance, while digital leadership shows a significant positive effect on performance improvement. Both hybrid work and digital leadership significantly enhance work-life balance among employees. Furthermore, work-life balance positively influences employee performance and functions as a full mediator in the relationship between hybrid work and performance, and as a partial mediator between digital leadership and performance. These findings highlight the importance of balancing work arrangements and leadership practices to optimize employee outcomes in digital startup ecosystems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Qur’an Reading and Writing (BTQ) program in improving students’ Qur’anic reading skills. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving the school principal, BTQ teachers, and students. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while triangulation was applied to ensure data credibility. The findings reveal that the BTQ program was implemented systematically through demonstration and imitation methods, in which teachers modeled Qur’anic recitation and students repeated it. This approach effectively improved students’ reading fluency, accuracy in applying tajwid rules, and mastery of makhārij al-ḥurūf. Furthermore, the program fostered students’ self-confidence, established regular Qur’an reading habits, and strengthened their religious character. Despite challenges such as differences in students’ initial abilities and limited learning facilities, the program demonstrated significant positive outcomes. These findings imply that the BTQ program should be sustained and further developed as an effective strategy for enhancing Qur’anic literacy and supporting students’ religious character development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of financial inclusion, financial technology (fintech) usage, and frugal living on the financial behavior of GenBI students, particularly in shaping saving behavior. A quantitative causal research design was applied using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The sample consisted of 242 respondents selected through probability sampling, and data were collected using structured questionnaires with a five-point Likert scale. The results show that financial inclusion, fintech usage, and frugal living each have a positive and significant effect on financial behavior. In addition, all variables collectively have a significant influence on students’ saving behavior. Among the three predictors, financial inclusion emerges as the most dominant factor, followed by fintech usage and frugal living. These findings confirm that financial behavior is shaped by a combination of access to financial services, digital financial literacy, and lifestyle discipline rather than a single determinant. The implications of this study suggest that strengthening financial education, expanding digital financial literacy, and encouraging responsible consumption behavior are essential to improving students’ financial management.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the Be My Eyes application supports independent visual information access among totally blind students, with particular attention to user preferences between volunteer-based assistance and AI-driven features. A qualitative exploratory design was employed involving five totally blind students, with data collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that participants strongly prefer the Be My AI feature over live volunteer assistance due to its perceived advantages in privacy, convenience, speed, and emotional comfort. The study also identifies that the main operational difficulty is not related to software accessibility but to users’ physical ability to align and frame the camera when capturing visual objects. Despite these challenges, Be My Eyes significantly enhances students’ autonomy by enabling independent access to visual information in daily activities, although human assistance remains necessary for complex or high-stakes tasks. The implications suggest that AI-based assistive technologies have strong potential to transform inclusive education by promoting flexible, user-centered, and self-reliant access to visual information for blind learners in special education contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of pesantren-based curriculum management in fostering students' character within an Islamic boarding school. A qualitative approach employing a case study design was adopted to obtain an in-depth understanding of curriculum management practices. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis involving school leaders, teachers, boarding administrators, and students. Data analysis followed the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while the trustworthiness of the findings was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that pesantren-based curriculum management is implemented through integrated curriculum planning that combines formal and religious education within a twenty-four-hour boarding system, systematic implementation of religious, academic, and character-building activities, and continuous evaluation through attendance records, student monitoring, and direct supervision. These practices effectively cultivate students' religious values, discipline, independence, responsibility, humility, and social awareness through sustained habituation and exemplary role modeling. The study implies that integrating formal education with pesantren values through comprehensive curriculum management provides an effective framework for strengthening character education and may serve as a reference for developing value-based curriculum management in other Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how transformational leadership is implemented by the head of madrasah to improve teacher performance in the digital era at Madrasah. Digital transformation has reshaped governance, learning practices, and teacher professionalism, requiring leaders to manage technological and cultural change. In madrasah contexts, this issue is important because digital adaptation must align with institutional values, limited resources, and teacher readiness. This research employed a qualitative single-case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings show, first, that teacher performance was strengthened through mentoring, supervision, motivation, and evaluation. Second, transformational leadership appeared through idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Third, implementation was supported by leadership commitment, collaborative culture, stakeholder support, parental participation, and technology use. However, it was constrained by competence gaps, infrastructure, communication problems, resistance, and unequal readiness. These findings imply that transformational leadership functions as an adaptive mechanism for teacher development. Practically, madrasah leaders should design collaborative and differentiated professional development strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of RekonX-AR, an interactive learning media integrating Smart Apps Creator 3 and Assemblr Edu to facilitate students’ understanding of bank reconciliation. The development was motivated by the limited use of technology-integrated learning media and the complexity of bank reconciliation concepts, which require more interactive and contextual visualization to enhance conceptual understanding. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The resulting product is an application-based learning medium integrated with Augmented Reality (AR), featuring learning materials, instructional videos, AR-based simulations, case studies, formative quizzes, and reflection activities. The findings indicate that RekonX-AR achieved a high level of feasibility, with material expert validation reaching 92% and media expert validation 98%, both categorized as Very Feasible. A limited trial involving Grade XI accounting students also demonstrated a positive response of 91%, classified as Very Good, indicating that the product is practical and well accepted by users. These findings imply that RekonX-AR can serve as an innovative technology-enhanced learning medium to support interactive learning, strengthen conceptual understanding, and improve students' learning engagement in accounting education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of organizational commitment and organizational culture on teachers’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), both partially and simultaneously. A quantitative approach with a descriptive and causal-associative research design was employed. The study involved 41 teachers selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on a four-point Likert scale and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial (t) tests, simultaneous (F) tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicate that organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on teachers’ OCB (t = 2.898, p = 0.006), while organizational culture also has a positive and significant effect with a stronger influence (t = 6.421, p < 0.001). Simultaneously, organizational commitment and organizational culture significantly influence teachers’ OCB (F = 61.169, p < 0.001), explaining 75.1% of the variance in OCB (Adjusted R² = 0.751). These findings imply that strengthening teachers’ organizational commitment and fostering a supportive organizational culture are essential strategies for promoting voluntary, collaborative, and extra-role behaviors that enhance organizational effectiveness and improve the quality of educational management

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of administrative management in improving student administrative services based on the four managerial functions of Planning, Organizing, Implementation, and Monitoring (POAC). A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to obtain an in-depth understanding of administrative management practices in an Islamic secondary school. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and document analysis involving school leaders, administrative personnel, and students. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings reveal that the four managerial functions have been implemented systematically. Planning is reflected in structured work programs and service schedules, organizing is supported by a clear distribution of responsibilities and collaborative coordination, implementation is characterized by responsive, orderly, and standardized administrative services, while monitoring is conducted through continuous supervision and periodic evaluation. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including limited facilities, insufficient administrative personnel, increasing workloads, and delays in administrative data submission. These findings imply that strengthening integrated administrative management, supported by digital technology adoption, continuous staff development, and sustainable quality assurance, is essential for improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of student administrative services in Islamic educational institutions.
