Abstract

Indonesia has achieved fourth in the global coffee production ranking, witnessing a 4.04% rise in coffee consumption, reaching an unprecedented level of 5 million bags (60 kg each) in 2020/2021. This surge has attracted numerous young entrepreneurs to the thriving coffee industry, especially in the burgeoning coffee shop sector. Cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, and Medan, as well as educational hubs like Malang, are experiencing a proliferation of coffee establishments, creating new opportunities for the industry. This research aims to thoroughly assess how hedonism and social values influence customer attitudes and purchasing intentions, with a detailed examination of the mediating role of customer attitudes. The study focuses on Vosco Coffee consumers in Malang, with a carefully selected sample of 180 respondents using accidental sampling technique. Quantitative data collected through well-designed questionnaires underwent rigorous analysis using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The empirical findings emphasize that hedonism and social values directly, positively, and substantially impact consumer attitudes and purchase intentions. Notably, a resilient customer attitude significantly enhances purchasing intentions. This study encourages future researchers to conduct more comprehensive investigations into the factors shaping consumer attitudes and purchase intentions in this context. Keywords: Hedonism, Social Value, Consumer’s Attitude, Purchase Intention

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the essence of the uniqueness of the balanced scorecard practice in the public sector based on its dynamics and characteristics. This qualitative research utilized a case study model combining literacy, data processing, in-depth interviews, and the researchers’ involvement. The results of the study indicate that the balanced scorecard can be adapted to an organization's vision and mission. Meanwhile, the customer perspective can be further divided into several perspectives, such as service partners and the stakeholder perspective, which became the ultimate goal of services. However, the financial aspect remained important and relevant for the object of the study even though it was not developed into a financial perspective independently. Instead, this aspect is included as a strategic objective from the perspective of learning and growth. In addition, the sharpening of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) is also carried out after the results of the KPI achievement are measured and evaluated. Keywords: Performance Measurement, Balanced Scorecard, Key Performance Indicators, Public Sector.

The image of a tertiary institution is indicated by the quality of service perceived by students because the quality of service can also reflect the academic and non-academic quality of a tertiary institution. There have been many studies focusing on measuring the quality of services in higher education (using the Serqual measurement), therefore, this study aims to measure quality services by combining other approaches, namely HEdPERF and HiEDQUAL. Bung Hatta University was used as the research object (n=370 students). The university was selected because it is a reputable private university which was founded under the name one of the nation's proclamator with significant influence. Based on the results of data analysis using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) technique, it can be concluded that aspects of academic facilities and support services are in the quadrant that exceeds student expectations. On the other hand, the campus infrastructure aspect should be the main priority that must receive immediate attention, followed by the reputation, academic and program aspects which are quadrant positions that must be maintained while the administrative service aspect is in low priority positionKeywords: Service Quality, Higher Education, IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis), HedPERF, HiEDQUAL

Abstract

This research evaluates the job analysis practices at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora). Findings reveal that the current job analysis is not optimal due to incomplete exploration of the Ministry's mandated tasks, leading to unclear mapping of responsibilities and a lack of adherence to the PermenpanRB No. 1 of 2020 guidelines. Data collection, primarily executed by an internal team using templated methods, raises concerns about information validity and reliability. Three main agents provide job analysis information: the jobholder, their superior, and the job analyst. A challenge identified is the limited comprehension of organizational strategy and job functions among jobholders and superiors, combined with the inadequate competency of job analysts. Additionally, the research found that the data's validity and reliability are compromised due to insufficient verification processes. As a remedy, a four-stage job analysis model is proposed, encompassing preparation, data collection, data processing, and result distribution, aiming for more accurate and comprehensive job analyses. Keywords: Job Analysis, Model, the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
