Abstract

The problem of speech delay in children is quite a serious problem because it is one of the most common causes of developmental disorders found in male toddlers. Children can be said to have speech delays when the level of speech development is below the level of speech development quality of children of the same age which can be seen from the accuracy of word use. This study focuses on what are the dominant factors in cases of speech delay in toddlers. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The unit of analysis is speech delay. The subjects in this study were five male toddlers and one female toddler who experienced speech delays. The informants in this study numbered four people consisting of five parents and one sister of the subject. Data collection techniques used interviews, observations, and supporting documentation to strengthen the truth of the data taken. The results of the data analysis showed that the cause of speech delay in children was due to the duration of gadget use, as well as the communication style between parents and children. The implications of this study can help in early identification of speech delays in toddlers, so that intervention can be carried out earlier.

Abstract

According to the KPU, Gen Z first-time voters contributed 46,800,161 votes or 22.85% of the total number of voters in the 2024 Election. This figure has a significant influence on the success of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Candidates in gaining votes. Voters who are voting for the first time in the 2024 Presidential Election are an experience that is greeted with enthusiasm and also confusion. Related to this enthusiasm, Presidential and Vice-Presidential Candidates must understand the psychology and motivations of these voters, which will later provide insight to Gen Z in actualizing their enthusiasm in their participation in the political arena. Gen Z voters tend to support candidates who prioritize attention to their interests such as values??on issues such as environmental protection, social justice, and an emphasis on sustainability and ethical considerations that extend to political preferences. Gen Z is known for their mastery of technology, so the process of searching for information is often done through the use of gadgets. However, to embrace Gen Z voters, there is a challenge because Gen Z is wisely involved in the election process by considering the candidate's platform and policies before voting. The purpose of this study is to describe the experiences of Gen Z in Jakarta in carrying out their roles as first-time voters in the 2024 Presidential Election. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The informants who were interviewed in depth consisted of 10 people who lived in Jakarta. The results of the study show that informants tend to have motivation to use their voting rights, although there are Gen Z who participate at the encouragement of their parents. Gen Z's expectations of leaders are that they can answer problems during previous leadership, have responsibility, track records, experience and vision and mission that can be trusted, and have the soul of a leader. Sources of information accessed are Twitter, television, and parents. The message that sticks is a more specific message that is in accordance with the interests of Gen Z who have a character that is closely related to technology

Abstract

The role of Islamic Economic Law in promoting entrepreneurship based on Islamic values in Tasikmalaya is an important topic in the region’s economic development. Islamic Economic Law, which is grounded in Sharia principles, provides clear guidance for conducting economic activities in an ethical and sustainable manner. This study aims to analyze how Islamic Economic Law can support the development of entrepreneurship in Tasikmalaya, with a focus on the application of Islamic values in business practices. Concepts such as justice, transparency, and the prohibition of usury (riba) and harmful practices serve as the main foundation in building entrepreneurship that is not only economically profitable but also socially and morally beneficial for the community. The results of the study indicate that the application of Islamic Economic Law can create a conducive environment for entrepreneurs to grow based on just principles, as well as reduce social and economic inequalities in society. Moreover, entrepreneurship based on Islamic values also raises social awareness and responsibility among business actors, which in turn can strengthen the local economy. Thus, Islamic Economic Law can be an essential instrument in creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem based on Islamic moral and ethical values, which benefits not only individuals but also the community as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of grit and Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) on students' academic achievement in English, with family support as a moderating variable. The research employed a quantitative method with a path analysis design. The sample consisted of 186 randomly selected middle school students. The research instruments included grit scales, SRL scales, and family support questionnaires, all of which were validated and reliable. The results showed that Grit (X1) had a positive and significant effect, as indicated by a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 or a t-value > t-table (5.947 > 1.653). Similarly, the Self-Regulated Learning variable showed a positive and significant effect with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 or a t-value > t-table (7.158 > 1.653). Simultaneously, the combined influence of grit and Self-Regulated Learning on English academic achievement was positive and significant, as demonstrated by an F-value > F-table (31.358 > 3.05). According to the model summary table, the R-Square value was 0.255, indicating that grit and Self-Regulated Learning contributed 25.5% to English academic achievement, while the remaining 74.5% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. The interaction coefficient of Grit with Family Support showed a negative but insignificant effect (p > 0.05) or a t-value < t-table (-1.643 < 1.653). This means that Family Support as a moderator was not significant in moderating the relationship between Grit and Academic Achievement. The negative value indicates that Family Support weakens the influence of Grit on Academic Achievement. Similarly, the interaction coefficient of Self-Regulated Learning with Family Support showed a negative and insignificant effect (p > 0.05) or a t-value < t-table (-1.309 < 1.653). This indicates that Family Support does not moderate (or weakens) the relationship between Self-Regulated Learning and Academic Achievement. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of developing grit and SRL through educational approaches and optimizing the role of families in supporting students' academic success.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly influenced business strategies, especially in marketing practices. In the Islamic perspective, marketing is not solely evaluated based on efficiency and profit, but also on its alignment with principles of maqashid sharia to ensure blessings (barakah) for both businesses and consumers. This article aims to analyze digital marketing through the lens of maqashid sharia, which encompasses five essential elements: the protection of religion (hifzh al-din), life (hifzh al-nafs), intellect (hifzh al-‘aql), wealth (hifzh al-mal), and lineage (hifzh al-nasl). By utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach with library research, this study explores how the integration of maqashid sharia can guide ethical and just business practices in digital marketing. The findings suggest that embedding maqashid sharia into digital marketing strategies promotes not only material success but also spiritual and ethical prosperity, ensuring a holistic and sustainable business model. This research contributes to the contemporary literature on Islamic economics, proposing a framework for businesses to navigate digital marketing in a way that is both ethically sound and aligned with Islamic values.

Abstract

Security in the campus environment is a fundamental aspect in creating a safe and conducive academic atmosphere. Riau Islamic University (UIR) as one of the higher education institutions has the responsibility to implement a security system to prevent and overcome various forms of crime that can occur in the campus environment. Crime on campus, such as vehicle theft, fights, and harassment, can have a negative impact on the comfort of students and academics. Therefore, security management plays a role as a form of social control that aims to maintain order and reduce crime rates in the campus environment. This study aims to analyze the role of security management in preventing and handling crime on the UIR campus and to identify the obstacles faced in implementing the security system. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with security officers, students, lecturers, and the community around the campus, as well as direct observation of the security system implemented. The results of the study indicate that UIR has implemented various security strategies, such as routine patrols, installation of CCTV at strategic points, and enforcement of rules for students and campus visitors. However, there are still some obstacles, such as the limited number of security personnel, lack of student awareness of security, and the need for increased coordination between the campus and the surrounding community in maintaining security. Therefore, this study recommends increasing the number of security personnel, optimizing surveillance technology, and strengthening cooperation with law enforcement officers to improve the effectiveness of social control over crime in the UIR campus environment.
