Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak dukungan sosial dan kesepian terhadap kualitas hidup pada lansia di kota Makassar. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah convinance sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala yang diberikan secara online via google formulir. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dengan melakaukan analisis korelasi antara variabel yang diminati menggunakan metode korelasi Spearman-Rho seerta menguji hipotesis yang diajukan, peneliti menggunakan pemodelan mediasi dengan menggunakan menggunakan  bantuan software Jamovi 2.3.21. Jumlah partisipan 200 lansia di kota Makassar, laki-laki 67 (33,5%) dan perempuan 133 (66,5%), dan berasal dari berbagai suku yang berbeda, seperti Bugis (59; 29,5%), Makassar (60; 30,0%), Mandar (47; 23,5%), dan Toraja (34; 17,0%). Usia (M = 60,7; SD = 6,35). Analisis statistik deskriptif dan korelasi dengan skor rata-rata dukungan sosial sebesar 3,44, kesepian sebesar 3,08, dan kualitas hidup sebesar 3,33. Secara keseluruhan, statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa lansia memiliki self-efficacay dukunagn sosial, kesepian, dan kualitas hidup yang lebih tinggi dari rata-rata. Analisis korelasi Spearman-Rho menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial berhubungan positif dengan kualitas hidup (r = 0,269, p < 0,001) dan berhubungan negatif dengan kesepian (r = -0,296, p < 0,001). Sementara itu, kesepian juga berhubungan negatif dengan kualitas hidup (r = -0,286, p < 0,001). Selain itu, terdapat efek langsung dan tidak langsung dukungan sosial terhadap kualitas hidup yang dimediasi oleh kesepian. Penelitian di masa depan tentunya harus memeriksa keragaman yang lebih besar di antara individu, dengan melibatkan status kebudayaan yang lebih luas (diluar pulau Sulawesi), sehingga menghasilkan generalisasi yang lebih baik dari setiap temuannya.  Kata Kunci: Dukungan Sosial, Kesepian, Kualitas Hidup, Lansia

Abstract

Employee engagement can generate benefits for the organization and lead to positive work outcomes. However, sometimes the application of organizational politics can affect performance. Thus, meaningful work is needed for employees. The aim of this research is to examine the role of meaningful work mediation on the influence of political organizations on employee engagement. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional survey design. The sample of this research is 317 employees obtained using convenience sampling technique. The scale in this study consists of employee engagement, meaningful work, and political organizations using a five-point Likert model. The results obtained in this study are significant meaningful work mediating the influence of political organizations on employee engagement. This study contributes as reference material in implementing interventions to increase employee engagement in order to gain benefits for the organization.Keterlibatan karyawan dapat menghasilkan manfaat bagi organisasi dan mengarah pada hasil kerja yang positif. Namun, terkadang penerapan politik organisasi dapat mempengaruhi kinerja. Sehingga, diperlukan kebermaknaan kerja bagi para karyawan. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian yaitu menguji peran mediasi meaningful work pada pengaruh political organizations terhadap employee engagement. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain survei cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 317 karyawan yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Skala dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari skala employee engagement, meaningful work, dan political organizations dengan menggunakan model likert lima point. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu meaningful work signifikan memediasi pengaruh political organizations terhadap employee engagement. Studi ini berkontribusi sebagai bahan referensi dalam menerapkan intervensi untuk meningkatkan employee engagement guna memperoleh keuntungan bagi organisasi.

Abstract

Employees are expected to achieve optimal task performance. Therefore, workplace well-being is crucial for employees to enhance their work engagement and, consequently, reach high task performance. This study aims to examine the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between workplace well-being and task performance. Utilizing a quantitative survey method, the research involved 310 employees selected through convenience sampling. The instruments used in the study included scales for workplace well-being, work engagement, and task performance. The results revealed that work engagement significantly mediates the effect of workplace well-being on employee task performance. These findings provide a basis for developing theoretical models of task performance and formulating training programs to enhance employee task performance, particularly in the field of applied psychology.

Abstract

Students have faced widespread changes and challenges as a result of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. How students cope with these disorders is important in determining the ongoing impact of the pandemic on mental health and well-being. This research consists of two studies, namely correlation and experiment. In the correlation study, the researcher wanted to investigate the role of positive religious coping as a mediator on the effect of perceived stress on depressive symptoms among Indonesian students, using the hierarchical regression analysis method. A total of 341 samples in this study were obtained by convenience sampling technique, which focused on students who were infected with the COVID-19 virus, and were or had been quarantined at home for 14 days. Respondents completed online self-report measurements. The results of the analysis show that positive religious coping acts as a mediator on the effect of perceived stress on depressive symptoms among students (β = -0.061; p = 0.029). In an experimental study, researchers wanted to see the role of positive religious coping training in reducing stress and symptoms of depression, which was tested by repeated measure ANOVA. This study uses a nonrandomized pretest posttest control group design. A total of 60 respondents (30 experiments and 30 controls) in this study were recruited using purposive sampling technique. The results of data analysis showed that positive religious coping training was effective in reducing stress (F(2;58) = 28.1; p < .05; η²p = .492), and depression (F(2;58) = 14.9; p < .05; η²p = .340), for students who are undergoing quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The implications and limitations have been discussed.

Abstract

Generation Z who are entering adulthood are experiencing various demands of developmental tasks which make generation Z face a quarter life crisis. This research aims to reveal the overview of the quarter life crisis in generation Z who are entering early adulthood. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach through semi-structured interviews with 5 respondents aged 20-28 years, and 4 significant others. The data analysis technique uses theory driven analysis techniques. The research results show that generation Z experiences indecisiveness in making decisions, despair, negative self-evaluation, being trapped in difficult situations, anxious, depressed, and worried about interpersonal relationships. This crisis arises due to lack of confidence in one's abilities, fear of taking risks, not having goal, ease of accessing information, mastery of technology, competition in getting a job, social demands, and poor friendships. The impacts felt by generation Z include feelings of shame, stress, overthinking, hopelessness, health problems, spending more time on social media, and being encouraged to develop and get to know themselves. It is hoped that this research can be a source of information for generation Z in understanding and overcoming the quarter life crisis. Keywords: Early adulthood, Generation Z, Quarter life crisis

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out an overview of the use of interactive multimedia learning for PAUD teachers. This research uses the library research method or literature review. Data was obtained through 9 scientific articles related to the use of multimedia, interactive learning, PAUD teachers. Data was analyzed using content analysis. The research results show that the use of interactive multimedia in learning can also increase understanding, positive emotions and behavior of PAUD children during the learning process. In conclusion, multimedia can be useful in increasing interaction between teachers and students in PAUD in the learning process. The implication of this research is to provide an understanding of the importance of improving teacher competence, especially in preparing interesting, innovative, efficient and effective learning media in accordance with the growth and development of early childhood in PAUD.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the benefits of the storytelling method on the social emotional abilities of young children. This research uses a library research method using data sources in the form of 9 scientific articles related to storytelling methods, social emotional abilities, early childhood. The data obtained was analyzed using content analysis with stages of problem identification, literature collection, literature analysis, interpretation and drawing up conclusions regarding the effectiveness of the storytelling method in improving the social emotional abilities of young children. The research results show that the storytelling method has proven to be effective in developing social emotional skills in early childhood. Through stories, children learn to recognize and manage their emotions, understand other people's feelings, and behave in accordance with applicable social norms. The application of this method in learning at PAUD can help improve social emotional skills which are important for preparing children to enter the next level of education. This research concludes that there is a positive impact of the storytelling method on improving socioemotional abilities in early childhood. The implications of this research can be useful for parents and PAUD teachers in using storytelling methods to stimulate socio-emotional abilities in early childhood

Abstract

Online learning systems are currently the primary approach to delivering information and facilitating learning for postgraduate students, replacing traditional in-person methods in many contexts. To succeed academically in this environment, students must adapt to these systems, a process heavily influenced by personal attributes such as grit and self-efficacy. These factors play a crucial role in helping students navigate the unique challenges of online learning, including increased workloads and technological demands. This study examines the role of academic self-efficacy in mediating the influence of grit and moderating the influence of academic stress on academic achievement. The study approach is quantitative, employing a simple random sampling technique with data collection through a online questionnaire. The data analysis methods include descriptive statistical analysis, Pearson correlation, and structural equation modeling (SEM). The participants were 382 Master’s students, consisting of 131 men (34.3%) and 251 women (65.7%), with an age range of 22-28 years. Most participants belonged to the Makassar ethnic group (33.0%), with the remaining 67.0% comprising individuals from various other ethnic groups, both within and outside South Sulawesi. The results show an average academic self-efficacy score of 3.36 (SD = 1.08). The findings indicate that academic self-efficacy functions as a perfect mediator in the effect of grit on academic achievement (β= .130; t = 6.366 > 1.96) and as a moderator in the effect of academic stress on academic achievement (β = .027; t = 5.850 > 1.96). Therefore, academic self-efficacy is a major psychological resource that drives academic performance, with the structural model explaining 72.4% of the variability in academic achievement. The study implications support the development of a theoretical model as a basis for implementing programs to improve academic self-efficacy and support students’ academic performance in an online environment.

Abstract

Kekerasan di lingkungan perguruan tinggi terus mengalami peningkatan dan dalam kondisi yang memprihatinkan sehingga dibuat regulasi yang mengatur secara khusus hal tersebut. Permendikbud Nomor 30 Tahun 2021 tentang Pencegahan dan Penanganan kekerasan Seksual di Lingkungan Perguruan Tinggi hadir karena Semakin meningkatnya kekerasan seksual yang terjadi pada ranah komunitas termasuk perguruan tinggi secara langsung atau tidak langsung akan berdampak pada kurang optimalnya penyelenggaraan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi dan menurunkan kualitas pendidikan tinggi. Penelitian ini bersifat Normatif yang berlokasi di Universitas Negeri Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan model/metode deskriptif kualitatif yaitu menggambarkan dan mendeskripsikan data yang diperoleh dengan bentuk presentase. Tekhnik pengumpulan data yang di gunakan adalah studi pustaka. Sedangkan tekhnik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu menganalisis dan penafsiran data faktual dalam kaitannya dengan Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan Seksual di Lingkungan Perguruan Tinggi. Kekerasan seksual meliputi pemerkosaan, perbuatan cabul, hukuman yang bernuasa seksual, yang dimana memiliki dampak yang merusak bagi korban, termasuk psikologis, emosional dan fisik. Oleh karena itu, untuk menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang aman dan mendukung, pencegahan kekerasan seksual di lingkungan perguruan tinggi menjadi sangat penting. Dalam hal ini, Kekerasan seksual terjadi karena kondisi, lingkungan dan relasi kuasa. Kekerasan seksual merupakan salah satu bentuk kekerasan yang merusak, melibatkan tindakan yang melanggar batasan pribadi, seperti pelecehan seksual, pemerkosaan, atau eksploitasi seksual. Dampak buruknya antara lain trauma fisik, emosional, dan psikologis terhadap korban. Mengatasi permasalahan kekerasan seksual memerlukan pemahaman yang   mendalam   dan upaya kolaboratif dari berbagai sektor. Kata Kunci: Kekerasan Seksual, Relasi Kuasa.

Abstract

The problem of speech delay in children is quite a serious problem because it is one of the most common causes of developmental disorders found in male toddlers. Children can be said to have speech delays when the level of speech development is below the level of speech development quality of children of the same age which can be seen from the accuracy of word use. This study focuses on what are the dominant factors in cases of speech delay in toddlers. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The unit of analysis is speech delay. The subjects in this study were five male toddlers and one female toddler who experienced speech delays. The informants in this study numbered four people consisting of five parents and one sister of the subject. Data collection techniques used interviews, observations, and supporting documentation to strengthen the truth of the data taken. The results of the data analysis showed that the cause of speech delay in children was due to the duration of gadget use, as well as the communication style between parents and children. The implications of this study can help in early identification of speech delays in toddlers, so that intervention can be carried out earlier.
