Abstract

Berbagai portal berita kini bermunculan sebagai bentuk dimulainya era media baru yang menggunakan perangkat lunak untuk mengaksesnya. Media online adalah media massa generasi ketiga setelah munculnya generasi pertama yaitu media cetak (printed media) –koran, tabloid, majalah, buku– dan generasi kedua yaitu media elektronik (electronic media) –radio, televisi, dan film/video. Menjamurnya media-media online tak lepas dari partisipasi masyarakat yang kini membutuhkan kecepatan berita. Dengan keunggulannya tersebut, media online berlomba-lomba berusaha memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat akan informasi. Namun, kecepatan berita harus juga diimbangi dengan ketelitian dan kehati-hatian dalam menyampaikannya, yang tentunya akan berdampak pada pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai informasi yang mereka akses. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana portal berita menyajikan informasinya, peneliti membandingkan empat portal berita yang cukup populer di Indonesia dalam menyajikan berita yaitu Detik.com, Tribunnews.com, Kompas.com, dan Liputan 6.com, dengan melihat akurasi berita yang terdiri atas cek dan ricek; kesalahan penulisan pada data; sumber berita yang relevan; akurasi judul dengan isi; serta akurasi antara foto dengan isi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian analisis isi, berita akan dianalisis berdasarkan katergorisasi untuk melihat bagaimana keakuratan isi berita pada keempat portal berita tersebut. Abstract

Hasil penelitian secara deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh tayangan film Guru Bangsa: Tjokroamnoto Pengaruh film Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminoto terhadap rasa nasionalisme remaja siswa-siswi SMUN 4 Depok, secara keseluruhan tinggi baik dari segi Nasionalisme Kemandirian Bangsa, Nasionalisme Agama, dan Nasionalisme Sekuler. Sementara penayangan film Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminto terhadap rasa Nasionalisme Anti Agama (Komunis) rendah atuau tidak terdapat pengaruh. Terdapat perbedaan nyata pada rasa Nasionlaisme Kemandirian Bangs, Nasionalisme Agama dan Nasionalisme Sekuler,serta tidak ada perbedaan untuk aspek Nasionalisme Anti Agama (Komunis) antara siswa-siswi dalam kelompok eksperimen yang mendapat tayangan film Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminoto dengan kelompok kontrol yang tidak mendapat tayangan film Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminoto. Secara umum faktor-faktor dalam film Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminoto yang berpengaruh tinggi terhadap rasa nasionalisme remaja siswa-siswi SMU N 4 Depok adalah faktor Media dan aspek komunikan, sedangkan faktor karakteristik komunikator dan Isi Pesan dalam film Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminoto berpengaruh rendah terhadap rasa nasionalsme remaja siswa-siswi SMUN 4 Depok. Abstract

Media adalah salah satu wacana yang digunakan dalam proses penyampaian dan penerimaan pesan atau informasi di antara dua orang atau lebih dengan harapan terjadinya pengaruh yang positif atau menimbulkan efek tertentu yang diharapkan. Kemampuan dalam mengelola informasi baik secara konten maupun layout akan sangat membantu stakeholder dalam menggunakan informasi tersebut untuk berbagai kebutuhannya. Oleh karena itu, sangat penting untuk memberikan edukasi mengenai pengelolaan media online utamanya penulisan jurnalistik online dalam menyampaikan informasi melalui media tersebut. Di SMPIT Istana Mulia Karangbolong, Anyer, Serang, Banten yang berbasis teknologi informasi, penggunaan teknologi informasi merupakan kegiatan yang memang dilakukan dalam berbagai kegiatan belajar. Salah satunya adalah penggunaan media sosial dan blog. Namun, untuk penggunaan jurnalistik online belum dilakukan karena beberapa keterbatasan. Karena keterbatasan tersebut, maka kegiatan IPTEK Bagi Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan oleh Prodi Ilmu Komunikasi UPN “Veteran” Jakarta.Kata kunci: Jurnalistik Online, SMPIT Istana Mulia, UPNVJ.

Abstract

One of the factors that made the group of mothers of the Islamic Association of Sukmajaya Wives in Depok not perfect in selling products, was the lack of knowledge about product diversity. Insight into product diversity can improve product quality, is still low and access to technology is still lacking. An introduction to knowledge of product diversity is needed to be developed to support the family's economy and support the group's independent business. The aim of the training activities is to provide understanding, knowledge and skills of the Persistri Women Group in Sukmajaya Depok District in conducting practices and activities in making handicraft accessories through the Pinterest application to further empower themselves so as to help improve entrepreneurial skills. The method of implementation in this community service program is through the introduction and assistance in the manufacture of handicraft accessories through the Pinterest application. From the results of the evaluation with the Chairperson of Persistri and the participants, training and mentoring on the introduction of Pinterest applications are very useful because in addition to knowing the various types of products. They can also look for various product references in accordance with their interests and even look for other products that can be used as examples and applied to the products they are interested in. Training activities are expected to not only be carried out with brooch accessory products, but also training of other products.

Abstract

Aksi 411 dan 212 dilatarbelakangi oleh isi pidato Gubernur DKI Jakarta, Basuki Thjahaja Purnama atau Ahok di Kepulauan Seribu dan diperparah dengan unggahan Buni Yani di facebook yang dianggap berpotensi menciptakan pergolakan publik karena proses editannya pada konten video Ahok tersebut. Kasus ini segera menjadi isu terpopuler di media sosial pada tahun 2016 menurut survey Digitroops. Salah satu reaksi yang muncul dari kasus ini adalah Aksi Damai 411 dan 212 yang melibatkan hingga jutaan partisipan dari seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Jutaan partisipan yang terlibat dalam aksi ini didorong oleh rasa solidaritas yang tinggi pada semboyan “Bela Islam” terhadap dugaan adanya upaya penistaan Al Quran oleh Ahok, sehingga mereka rela berkorban secara materil maupun moril untuk datang ke Jakarta.Aksi fenomenal ini dimotori oleh beberapa ulama kenamaan seperti Rizieq Shihab, Bachtiar Nasir, AA Gym, dan Arifin Ilham. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menguji peran media sosial facebook dalam membentuk solidaritas para partisipan Aksi Damai 411 dan 212, sehingga Agenda Setting Theory dan Contagion Theory dinilai mampu mengakomodasi tujuan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas dalam facebook tokoh-tokoh yang memotori Aksi 411 dan 212 tidak memberi pengaruh pada pembentukan solidaritas partisipan aksi. Berdasarkan penelitian lebih mendalam melalui metode wawancara, diketahui bahwa solidaritas partisipan Aksi 411 dan 212 lebih dipengaruhi oleh media yang bersifat private, seperti WhatsApp Group.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the communication dynamics within the Kangean community during buying and selling activities at Kalikatak Market, employing an ethnographic communication approach. Through participant observation and interviews, the study explores communication strategies, language variations, linguistic codes, and cultural norms prevalent in these interactions. Data collection involved attentive listening, recording, and note-taking during market interactions, supplemented by a reflective introspective method to engage both researcher and respondents in communication patterns. The speech data collected was transcribed, condensed, categorized, and validated, leading to the interpretation of findings represented in a visual scheme illustrating communication dynamics. The study reveals the predominant use of the Kangean Dialect Malay Language (KDML) with the ako-kao language variety in buying and selling interactions, along with the role of non-verbal cues as signals and linguistic codes reflecting cultural identity. Additionally, cultural norms emphasizing sincerity, attentiveness, and honesty were observed. This research provides valuable insights into the communication patterns within the Kangean community at Kalikatak Market, shedding light on the intricacies of social interaction in a marketplace setting and suggesting avenues for further exploration.

Abstract

According to the KPU, Gen Z first-time voters contributed 46,800,161 votes or 22.85% of the total number of voters in the 2024 Election. This figure has a significant influence on the success of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Candidates in gaining votes. Voters who are voting for the first time in the 2024 Presidential Election are an experience that is greeted with enthusiasm and also confusion. Related to this enthusiasm, Presidential and Vice-Presidential Candidates must understand the psychology and motivations of these voters, which will later provide insight to Gen Z in actualizing their enthusiasm in their participation in the political arena. Gen Z voters tend to support candidates who prioritize attention to their interests such as values??on issues such as environmental protection, social justice, and an emphasis on sustainability and ethical considerations that extend to political preferences. Gen Z is known for their mastery of technology, so the process of searching for information is often done through the use of gadgets. However, to embrace Gen Z voters, there is a challenge because Gen Z is wisely involved in the election process by considering the candidate's platform and policies before voting. The purpose of this study is to describe the experiences of Gen Z in Jakarta in carrying out their roles as first-time voters in the 2024 Presidential Election. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The informants who were interviewed in depth consisted of 10 people who lived in Jakarta. The results of the study show that informants tend to have motivation to use their voting rights, although there are Gen Z who participate at the encouragement of their parents. Gen Z's expectations of leaders are that they can answer problems during previous leadership, have responsibility, track records, experience and vision and mission that can be trusted, and have the soul of a leader. Sources of information accessed are Twitter, television, and parents. The message that sticks is a more specific message that is in accordance with the interests of Gen Z who have a character that is closely related to technology

Abstract

Community service is organized by the Non-Governmental Organization Noorwangsanegara, located in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. In the pre-service, it was found that there was a gap in understanding artificial intelligence which is now widely used both in the world of education and in the world of work where students, namely students, will later work. In addition, it is also a challenge for lecturers, especially in improving not only their understanding but also their competence in writing and publishing scientific articles in journals that have a reputation for improving performance in the world of higher education. The problem in this service is how to improve the competence of lecturers through the use of artificial intelligence in writing and reputable publications. The results of the service show that the tendency of participants does not understand the meaning and use of artificial intelligence that can be used in educational activities such as the use of tools that can facilitate work in the world of education. In addition, these tools can also be used in writing articles or disseminating articles through publication in reputable journals. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is a literature study so that no special location is needed for research because the object being studied is a literary manuscript (text), namely tweets in the x Fufufafa account. The data obtained from this study are secondary data that researchers obtained from direct tweets from the fuffafa account. The data were analyzed by stages of data collection, data selection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions with a comprehensive explanation. The result in this article show the owner of the Fufufafa account, whoever it is, has bad human behavior because the sentences made in the account allude to non-substantive personal problems. The account owner cannot be categorized as a critical person because the object of criticism is not public policy and common problems but personal problems. Therefore, the researcher concludes that the human behavior of the Fufufafa account has a bad direction. Keywords: Fufufafaf, Human Behavior, Account X

Abstract

This study aims to contrastively examine the use of swear words in social interaction between Indonesian and Arab ethnicities based on sociolinguistic analysis. Swear words are part of everyday communication that can serve as emotional expressions, humour, solidarity, or even insults, depending on the social and cultural context in which they are used. This study reveals how cultural values, social norms, and linguistic factors influence the use and acceptance of swear words in both ethnic groups. This study uses a sociolinguistic approach to understand the social factors that influence swearing, contrastive analysis to compare the structure and meaning of swear words in Indonesian and Arabic, and ethnography of communication to examine the situation of using swear words in daily life. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and text analysis from social media, films, and oral interactions. The results show that there are differences in the patterns of swear word usage between the two ethnicities. In Arabic culture, swear words are mostly related to family honour, social status, and religion, so their use is more limited and can trigger serious conflicts. Meanwhile, in Indonesian culture, swear words have a wider variety and can function as expressions of anger, jokes, or even forms of familiarity, depending on the social relationship between the speaker and the listener. Moreover, the intensity and social acceptability of swearing varies by region and age group. This research provides new insights into how language as a reflection of culture can influence the way individuals express emotions and interact in society. The findings also have implications for the study of cross-cultural communication, language learning, as well as an understanding of the social and psychological impact of swear word use in everyday interactions.
