Abstract

The development of information technology has prompted the government to improve the quality of public services through the use of digital systems. The Provincial Government of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) developed the NTB Care application and integrated it with SP4N–LAPOR as a platform for managing public aspirations and complaints transparently. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of public services based on the NTB Care and LAPOR applications at the Department of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics of NTB Province, using the policy implementation theory by Van Meter and Van Horn. The research method employed is qualitative descriptive through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of NTB Care and LAPOR applications has been effective in improving service accessibility, accelerating the follow-up process of complaints, and enhancing transparency and public participation. However, challenges were still found in terms of the equity of network infrastructure, digital literacy of the public, and the limited capacity of service management personnel. This study aligns with the findings of six previous studies regarding the importance of regulatory support, human resources readiness, and technological infrastructure in supporting the success of digital services.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education and moral education play a strategic role as key pillars in shaping the character of elementary school students to face increasingly complex contemporary challenges. Both function not merely as a transmission of normative knowledge, but also as essential instruments for instilling fundamental values such as honesty, responsibility, and empathy in everyday life. Through a literature-based study reviewing various academic journals and scholarly references, this study finds that the integration of religious and moral education within the formal education system constitutes a crucial foundation for students’ character development. The analysis indicates that strengthening these two aspects in an integrated manner has a significant impact, particularly on improving students’ moral conduct, discipline, and awareness of social responsibility. Therefore, strong synergy is required among educational institutions, the role of teachers as role models, and the family environment as the primary foundation to ensure that moral and spiritual values are optimally internalized in the educational process. Thus, this article emphasizes that Islamic religious and moral education in elementary schools plays an important role in shaping a young generation that is religious, possesses noble character, and is ready to become a pillar of the nation by contributing positively to society and the wider world.

Abstract

Teacher work stress in Islamic educational institutions has a significant impact on the quality of learning and educator professionalism, as it is influenced by pedagogical demands, administrative burdens, and religious values perceived as a moral responsibility. This study aims to analyze the management of teacher work stress through the perspective of the Transactional Theory of Stress proposed by Lazarus and Folkman, as well as its relevance within the context of Islamic education. Using a qualitative approach through a literature review, the population comprised relevant literature up to 2025 addressing teacher work stress in Indonesia, with a purposive sample of 20–30 Sinta- and Scopus-indexed articles published between 2021 and 2025. The research instrument consisted of documentary sources, which were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model (data reduction, data display, and data verification). The findings indicate that teacher work stress emerges from the interaction between primary and secondary appraisal processes that shape coping strategies, which are further enriched by spiritual dimensions such as patience (ṣabr) and trust in God (tawakkul) within the Islamic context. The Transactional Theory is shown to be a holistic framework capable of accommodating psychological, organizational, and religious dimensions of teacher work stress management.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the challenges encountered in the degung gamelan music extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri Tolisu, particularly the mismatch between students’ techniques and the correct playing patterns of the bonang musical instrument. Students still require full instruction and intensive supervision due to inefficiencies in the practice process, which in turn affect their creativity and interest in music. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the demonstration method in improving students’ ability to play the bonang among extracurricular participants. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, supported by simple quantitative analysis to process students’ learning outcome data. The research subjects consisted of eight students from SMA Negeri Tolisu. Data collection techniques included unstructured interviews, direct field observation, and documentation in the form of photographs and videos of the activities. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of the demonstration method over eight meetings led to significant improvement in students’ abilities. The learning process comprised preparation, implementation (introduction, demonstration, guided practice, independent practice), and evaluation stages. Based on an assessment rubric covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, most students achieved the “Good” category, with achievement percentages exceeding the predetermined indicator of 75%. In conclusion, the demonstration method is effective in improving students’ skills in playing the bonang musical instrument, as it allows students to directly observe and imitate the techniques.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at SMP Puja Handayani Palembang prompted an investigation into learning environment factors. This study aims to analyze the comprehensive effects of the physical, social, and psychological learning environment on the IRE learning outcomes of eighth-grade students. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational survey method, the population consisted of 120 students, with a sample of 40 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using validated Likert-scale questionnaires (α = 0.879 for variable X; α = 0.820 for variable Y) and official IRE scores, and were analyzed using normality testing (Kolmogorov–Smirnov Sig. = 0.200), linearity testing (Sig. = 0.515), and simple linear regression in SPSS 25. The results indicate a significant positive effect of the learning environment on IRE learning outcomes (t = 2.325; Sig. = 0.026 < 0.05). In conclusion, a conducive learning environment substantially enhances IRE academic achievement and the formation of students’ religious character, underscoring the need to optimize infrastructure and foster a positive classroom climate.

Abstract

Data-driven management has become an essential approach in improving school quality amid increasing demands for accountability and evidence-based decision-making in education. However, empirical studies exploring how data-based management is implemented at the primary school level, particularly from a qualitative perspective, remain limited. This study aims to examine the implementation of data-driven management in improving educational quality at SDN Wangkalwetan, Kejayan District. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through semi- structured interviews with the principal and teachers, participatory observations, and document analysis related to school planning and evaluation. The findings reveal that data-driven management at SDN Wangkalwetan is implemented through a cyclical process involving data identification, collaborative data interpretation, program planning, implementation, and evaluation. School performance data are primarily utilized to guide instructional supervision, teacher development programs, and learning improvement initiatives. Nevertheless, the study also identifies challenges related to teachers’ data literacy and limited infrastructural support. This research contributes theoretically by enriching the discourse on data-driven educational leadership in primary education contexts and practically by offering insights for school leaders and policymakers in strengthening evidence-based school management practices.

Abstract

The Class I Correctional Facility of Bandar Lampung faces serious challenges in maintaining security and order due to overcrowding conditions and the limited number of correctional officers. These circumstances have the potential to trigger security and order disturbances if not anticipated through systematic preventive measures. Law Number 22 of 2022 on Corrections, particularly Article 81, emphasizes early detection as a strategic instrument in preventing security and order disturbances within correctional institutions. This study aims to examine the implementation of early detection of security and order disturbances at the Class I Correctional Facility of Bandar Lampung based on the provisions of Article 81 of Law Number 22 of 2022 on Corrections. In addition, this research analyzes the factors influencing the effectiveness of early detection in correctional practice. The research employs an empirical juridical method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through a literature review of relevant laws and regulations as well as legal literature, and through interviews with correctional officials and officers directly involved in security management and inmate development. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis to assess the consistency between normative legal provisions and their implementation in practice. The findings indicate that the implementation of early detection of security and order disturbances at the Class I Correctional Facility of Bandar Lampung has generally been conducted in accordance with the normative framework of Law Number 22 of 2022. This is reflected in practices such as monitoring inmate behavior, supervising residential block environments, and strengthening coordination among correctional officers. However, the effectiveness of its implementation remains suboptimal due to limitations in human resources, overcrowding conditions, and inadequate supporting facilities and infrastructure. This study concludes that early detection is a strategic instrument in maintaining security and order within correctional institutions. Therefore, strengthening human resources, improving facilities and infrastructure, and optimizing supervision systems are necessary to ensure that early detection can be implemented more effectively and sustainably.
