abdasastra : Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Jawa (Sabdasastra : Journal of Javanese Language Education) is an open-access journal published by Department of Javanese Language Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sebelas Maret. The first issue of 2017 Volume 1 No 1 has ten articles. Sabdasastra has two issues in a year and it will be published in March and September. The focus and scope of this journal are language education, literature, philology, linguistics, culture, and local wisdom in Java.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kesulitan belajar, faktor penyebab, dan upaya pemecahan masalah kesulitan belajar yang dialami oleh siswa berkebutuhan khusus materi memahami cerita Ramayana Resi Jatayu dengan model pembelajaran online . Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif dengan tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data dan triangulasi teknik. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah (1) kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa yaitu sulit memahami materi, memahami cerita wayang, mengakses materi dan tugas, serta berkomunikasi dengan guru; (2) faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa dibedakan menjadi dua yaitu internal dan eksternal. Faktor internalnya yaitu (a) jasmani: permasalahan penglihatan siswa (tunanetra); (b) rohani: malas belajar, kurangnya semangat siswa dalam belajar, emosi siswa labil. Adapun faktor eksternalnya yaitu (a) faktor keluarga: kurangnya perhatian orang tua, kondisi rumah ramai, tidak memiliki gawai pribadi, serta koneksi jaringan buruk; (b) faktor sekolah: pemberian tugas banyak; (c) faktor lingkungan sosial: mengikuti kebiasaan teman; (3) upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasinya yaitu memberikan materi ringkas dan menarik, melakukan home visit, memberikan materi dalam bentuk pesan suara, dan memberikan motivasi pada siswa agar semangat belajar.

Abstract

Karya sastra yang dinamis dan selalu berkembang membuat penelitian sastra juga terus bermunculan. Karya sastra berupa novel Jawa belum banyak diminati oleh para siswa untuk dijadikan sumber belajar di sekolah. Maka dari itu, perlu adanya penelitian sastra yang membahas novel Jawa untuk menghasilkan materi ajar pendidikan sebagai alternatif sumber belajar bagi siswa. Alternatif sumber belajar baru dapat memberikan kesan yang lebih variatif dan menarik dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud unsur intrinsik pada novel Sapecak Bumi sing Kobong karya Hastin Zaina, wujud konflik sosial pada novel Sapecak Bumi sing Kobong karya Hastin Zaina, dan relevansi novel Sapecak Bumi sing Kobong dengan materi ajar bahasa Jawa di SMA. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan data berupa kutipan dan ujaran yang diperoleh dari sumber data dokumen serta informan. Teknik sampling yang digunakan ialah purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis dokumen dan wawancara. Teknik uji validitas menggunakan triangulasi teori dan sumber. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif. Prosedur penelitian meliputi persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan penyusunan laporan. Hasil penelitian dapat diuraikan menjadi wujud unsur intrinsik novel yang meliputi tema, amanat, alur, tokoh/penokohan, dan latar/setting, konflik sosial yang diklasifikasikan menjadi kejahatan, disorganisasi keluarga, peperangan, pelanggaran norma, novel Sapecak Bumi sing Kobong telah relevan sebagai materi ajar bahasa Jawa di SMA

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the educational value contained in  the  piweling geguritan anthology by Devika Herfianingtyas. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with a content analysis approach. The data in this study is in the form of words, phrases, or sentences in the  piweling geguritan anthology by Devika Herfianingtyas. The data sources are in the form of documents, namely piweling anthology books, reference books, and relevant journals. The sampling technique in this study uses purposive sampling which is carried out selectively by selecting words, phrases, or sentences in the  Piweling geguritan anthology  that can represent the answer to the problem formulation that has been made. The data collection technique in this study was carried out by analyzing the educational value in  the piweling geguritan  anthology by Devika Herfianingtyas. The data analysis technique used in this study is an interactive analysis consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the analysis, the educational values found in  Devika Herfianingtyas' anthology of Piweling geguritan are religious values, moral values, social values, and cultural values.

Abstract

This research is aimed to: (1) explain the obstacles learning to reading skill of Java lettered sentences with sandhangan panyigeg in the class VII A of SMP Negeri 1 Jatiroto in the academic year of 2014/ 2015 and (2) describe the improvement of reading skill of Java lettered sentences with sandhangan panyigeg in the class VII A of SMP Negeri 1 Jatiroto in the academic year of 2014/ 2015 through cooperative learning type snowball throwing. This research carried out two cycles. Source data derived from informants, events, and documents/ archives. The technique of data collecting were used are from interview, observation, documentation, and test. Data validity used the technique of triangulation source. The technique of data analyzing were comparative descriptive analysis and critical analysis technique. The conclusion of the research is there would be some obstacles that occur in implementating of learning to reading skill of Java lettered sentences with sandhangan panyigeg. The implementation of cooperative learning type snowball throwing can improve reading skill of Java lettered sentences with sandhangan panyigeg in the class VII A of SMP Negeri 1 Jatiroto in the academic year of 2014/ 2015.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the story that underlies the birth of the Ruwatan murwakala customs; (2) semiotic analysis in the text of the ruwat Murwakala mantra; and (3) how the relevance of ruwat murwakala mantra as a teaching material of Javanese poetry in Senior High School. The research is the descriptive qualitative research using oral literary approach. The data of this research was written data which was mantra ruwat murwakala texs. Sources of data used are informants, document of the ruwatan murwakala story places, and events. Sampling technique used is purposive sampling and simple random sampling. Technique of collecting data used is technique of record, recording, interview, observation, and document analysis. Data validity is obtained through theory trianguation and source triangulation. The data analysis technique was interactive analysis. The research procedure were arrangement, implementation, and report composing. Based on this research it can be concluded: (1) the story that underlies the birth of ruwatan murwakala custom originated from the habit of the Javanese who often connect an event with other events that are considered as an impact of an event. Therefore, the Javanese society has a variety of assumptions that became the basis of a ritual to avoid by mistakes that have been made, the ceremony or ritual was then called the term ruwatan. The category of people which have to be ruwat is the bocah sukêrta. The ruwatan ceremony was led by a dhalang ruwat who was also in charge of performing leather puppets with murwakala plays; (2) the semiotic analysis performed on spells is an analysis of icons, indices, and symbols. it was Found seven mantras containing icons, while nine spells do not contain icons. it is Found fourteen mantras containing the index, while the two spells do not contain the index. it is Found two mantras containing symbols, while fourteen mantras do not contain symbols; (3) The mantra text taken from mantra ruwat murwakal can be used as learning material of Javanese language in SMA. The feasibility of mantra ruwat murwakala is used as teaching material because it is in accordance with the basic competency in Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP). In addition, the text of the mantra ruwat murwakala is written using the ancient Javanese language and the middle Java language, so it will add the vocabulary of the Java language owned by the students.

Abstract

This research of pragmatic study is the politeness inside ketoprak script. In this pragmatic study the researcher aims to identify language politeness in ketoprak script Kembang Katresnan by Bondan Nusantara and the relevancy as javanes material teaching in senior high school. This research is deskriptif kualitatif research. The data obtained with data document analyse and interview. Validity of data using source triangulation and theory triangulation. The result from this research is find speech in ketoprak script Kembang Katrensna by Bondan Nusantara according to musly in language politeness with Chaer (2010: 11).  Script can changed according to the level of leangunge of variety Javanes to class XII Senior High School level according to KD 3.1 is to identify, understand, and analyse of oral language using in all situasion according to the manners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya kepemimpinan astha brata pada tokoh utama dalam novel Rangsang Tuban karya Padmasusastra. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdapat dua jenis yaitu dokumen dan informan. Sumber data jenis dokumen terdiri dari novel Rangsang Tuban karya Padmasusastra, jurnal, dan buku referensi. Adapun sumber data jenis informan adalah ahli sastra. Data yang dikaji berupa frasa, klausa, dan kalimat pada novel Rangsang Tuban karya Padmasusastra. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah analisis dokumen. Uji validitas data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi data dan triangulasi teori. Uji validitas data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif (interactive model of analysis) yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah analisis gaya kepemimpinan pada delapan ajaran astha brata yaitu laku hambeging candra, laku hambeging dahana, laku hambeging kartika, laku hambeging kisma, laku hambeging samirana, laku hambeging samodra, laku hambeging surya, laku hambeging tirta.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kesulitan-kesulitan pembaca dalam memahami isi Serat Wedhatama pupuh Kinanthi. Maka perlu ada guna melakukan upaya dalam penyelesaian permasalahan itu. Salah satunya dengan cara mengidentifikasi gaya bahasa dalam serat tersebut. Guna mengetahui serta membuat deskripsi mengenai gaya bahasa (gaya kata, gaya bunyi, gaya kalimat, dan permajasan) dalam Serat Wedhatama pupuh Kinanthi ialah tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian. Deskriptif kualitatif yang menggunakan metode analisis isi dengan pendekatan stilistika ialah bentuk dari penelitian yang dijalankan. Dokumen berupa Serat Wedhatama pupuh Kinanthi karya Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya Mangkunegara IV yang sudah ditulis ulang menjadi sebuah buku oleh Ki Sabdacarakatama yang diterbitkan tahun 2010 yakni objek yang dipakai dalam penelitian. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini yakni bentuk-bentuk penerapan gaya bahasa dalam Serat Wedhatama pupuh Kinanthi yang meliputi penggunaan; (1) gaya kata (afiksasi arkhais, tembung garba, tembung plutan, tembung kawi, tembung baliswara, tembung saroja, dasanama dan tembung entar)., (2) Gaya bunyi yang ditemukan berupa: purwakanthi guru swara, purwakanthi guru sastra, beserta purwakanthi lumaksita., (3) Gaya kalimat yang diterapkan berupa klimaks, antiklimaks, paralelisme, serta repetisi., (4) Majas simile, personifikasi, hiperbola, ironi dan sarkasme merupakan permajasan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of inculcating the value of character education to students through Javanese literary works of geguritan. The purpose of this study is to describe the value of character education contained in the anthology of Lathi geguritan by Eko Wahyudi. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source in this study is the geguritan in the anthology of Lathi geguritan by Eko Wahyudi. The research data are in the form of words, phrases, clauses, sentences in geguritan which contain the value of character education. Data collection techniques using document analysis. Test the validity of the data using triangulation theory. The data analysis technique used is an interactive analysis technique using the Miles & Huberman model. The results of the study show that the values of character education contained in the anthology of Lathi geguritan by Eko Wahyudi include: religiosity, sociality, gender, justice, democracy, honesty, independence, fighting power, responsibility, and respect for the environment. Through geguritan in the anthology of Lathi's geguritan, the author wants to convey a message or message to the reader to become a complete human being with strong noble character.

Abstract

This research aimed to (1) describe and explain the intrinsic elements contained in the cerkak - cerkak of the Panjebar Semangat magazine on the Edition (1 - 53) in 2016; (2) describe the social condition of the society contained in the cerkak-cerkak of the Panjebar Semangat magazine on the Edition (1 - 53) in 2016; (3) Describe and explain the relevance of the cerkak-cerkak of the Panjebar Semangat magazine on the Edition (1 - 53) in 2016. This was a qualitative research with descriptive qualitative method. The sources of the data in this study were documents and informants. The validity of the data was triangulation theory and the source. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling technique. Technique of collecting data used reading and interviewing techniques. There were 4 Data analysis techniques used in this research, those were domain analysis, taxonomy, component, theme and cultural. Based on the results of the research and discussion written on chapter IV about cerkak analysis, social condition of the society, and the relevance as learning material of literature appreciation subject on high school student, it was concluded that the analysis of 6 cerkak containing child literature element was suitable to read for student.
