Abstract

Education is a learning process that takes place in the form of teaching and learning activities, where in these activities there is interaction between educators and students. However, in reality, learning is still dominated by educator-centered lecture methods, so that two-way interaction and active involvement of students are not optimal. The use of Canva-based interactive learning media is one of the alternatives to overcome this problem. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method which aims to produce a product in the form of canva-based interactive teaching media and test the feasibility and effectiveness of improving student learning outcomes in grade III Mathematics subjects. According to validation tests involving material experts, media experts, and small group trials, it showed a feasibility percentage of 92.66% with a very feasible category. Based on the results of the pre-test, it was obtained that students who achieved 55% completeness while the post-test results were obtained that students who achieved completeness were 85%. This shows that there is an increase in completeness by 30%. Thus, the development of Canva-based interactive teaching media can be used as an innovative solution in improving learning outcomes in mathematics subjects.

Abstract

The expectation gap between educators and students is a challenge that impacts the quality of the learning process and outcomes. This expectation gap arises when the goals, perspectives, and learning needs of teachers and students are not aligned, whether in terms of learning methods, communication, learning styles, or the availability of supporting resources. Teachers tend to focus on achieving curriculum and competency targets, while students desire more engaging, relevant learning and support when facing difficulties. This mismatch can result in decreased motivation, low participation, academic stress, and decreased effectiveness of classroom interactions. This study examines the concept of the expectation gap, its causes, and its impact on the learning process. Furthermore, strategies that can be implemented to minimize this gap are discussed, such as two-way communication, learning differentiation, the use of interactive media, improving teacher pedagogical competence, and creating a supportive learning climate. Through a deeper understanding, expectations can be managed so that learning becomes more adaptive, harmonious, and optimally meets student needs.

Abstract

This wThis study aims to develop and describe the use of Liveworksheets-based E-LKPD with a Deep Learning and TPACK approach in teaching flat shapes to second-grade elementary school students. The background of this study is based on the demands of 21st-century education, which emphasizes the importance of critical, creative, collaborative, and communicative thinking skills, as well as the use of technology in learning. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observation, tests, and documentation. The data were analyzed through the interpretation of learning outcomes and student engagement during the learning process using Liveworksheets E-LKPD. The results showed that the use of interactive Liveworksheets-based E-LKPD was able to improve students' understanding of plane figure concepts, learning motivation, and active engagement. The presentation of interesting material, a variety of interactive activities, and the provision of feedback and automatic assessment provide a fun and meaningful learning experience. Thus, Liveworksheets-based E-LKPD using the Deep Learning and TPACK approaches are considered effective as innovative and relevant digital learning media for improving the quality of learning and learning outcomes of second-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss and describe how institutions provide services to the elderly. The institutions in question are mosques. The focus of the study includes forms of collaboration, program development, and the objectives of these institutions to meet the needs of the elderly. The research was conducted by gathering information and observing elderly service institutions. The analysis shows that these institutions have core programs, such as assistance with daily activities and social support, to improve the quality of life of the elderly. However, several challenges remain, such as limited facilities and financial constraints. Elderly service institutions make an important contribution to meeting the needs of the elderly, but they need to improve the quality of service and resource support. This article concludes that optimizing elderly services in mosques needs to be strengthened through collaboration between mosque administrators, the community, and relevant agencies to improve the overall quality of life of the elderly

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model through digital media on students’ critical thinking skills at MAN 1 Pringsewu. The research employed a quasi-experimental method using a pretest–posttest control group design. The experimental class implemented PBL using Padlet, while the control class used PBL through Google Classroom. Data were analyzed using an Independent Sample t-test and N-Gain Score with SPSS 26. The results indicated a significant difference between the two classes (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The average N-Gain score of the experimental class was 76.16 (effective), higher than the control class at 57.08 (moderately effective). These findings demonstrate that Padlet-based PBL is more effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills

Abstract

The protection of children in conflict with the law requires a special approach that takes into account their psychological and developmental conditions. This study aims to explore the counseling guidance program at Griya Abhipraya Tanon, which is designed to assist children clients in improving behavior and emotions. Using qualitative methods through interviews, observations, and case studies, this study analyzed two clients, AF and RTP, who experienced behavioral changes after attending the program. Results showed that although both showed progress, there were significant differences in outcomes between the two. RTP was able to socialize back to school without stigma, while AF still faced problems with her family. Barriers faced included a lack of motivation from clients and limited human resources and facilities at Griya Abhipraya. This study highlights the importance of support from the social environment and family in the success of counseling programs. It is recommended that the quality of human resources be improved, counseling programs be implemented consistently, and support from the community and family be strengthened, so that children can return to society with better personalities and skills.

Abstract

Children with autism have diverse developmental characteristics in various aspects, requiring educational and counseling services tailored to their individual needs. This study aims to describe the developmental profile of children with autism and analyze its implications for counseling services in schools. The study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. The research subjects consisted of two children who had been diagnosed with autism. Data collection was conducted through developmental assessments using checklist instruments and structured observations on gross motor skills, fine motor skills, verbal language, nonverbal language, and attention. The data were analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively. The results showed that gross motor skills, nonverbal language, and attention were in the instructional level category. Fine motor skills showed differences between subjects, namely in the independent level and frustration level categories. Meanwhile, verbal language skills in both subjects were in the independent level category, although still functional. These findings indicate that the developmental profile of children with autism varies between aspects and individuals. Therefore, developmental assessment needs to be used as a basis for designing counseling services that are individualized, adaptive, and appropriate to the developmental needs of children in the school environment.
