Abstract

The material of the sensory system is important because in the sensory system there are several kinds of senses and the nervous system which is still abstract and the problem that occurs is a misconception about the material. Motivation is one of the factors that support success in learning, but students learning motivation is still low. This study aims to produce valid and feasible mobile learning-based electronic student worksheets and to measure students learning motivation on sensing system materials. The research subjects were students of class VIII MTsN 8 Banyuwangi. This study uses Research and Development methods and 4D models with 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and dissemination. The instrument used was a material validation questionnaire, medial, readability, and students' learning motivation. The validation results show the average percentage of the material test is 94% and the media is 94% with very feasible criteria. The percentage of the students' readability test has an average value of 71% with a good category and the students' learning motivation is very strong with a percentage of 82%. Thus, electronic student worksheets can measure students' learning motivation. For future researchers, it is recommended to use the product in classroom learning

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat efektifitas penggunaan pembelajaran praktikum berbasis  inkuiri terbimbing dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada konsep larutan penyangga di SMA. Populasi siswa kelas XI SMAN X Kota Lhokseumawe, dua kelas diambil secara acak dari 6 kelas terdiri atas satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 32 siswa perkelas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes awal dan tes akhir untuk keterampilan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan proses sains, lembar observasi untuk melihat keterlaksanaan pembelajaran serta angket untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa dan guru terhadap penggunaan pembelajaran praktikum berbasis  inkuiri terbimbing. Hasil uji t  menunjukkan penggunaan model pembelajaran  praktikum berbasis  inkuiri terbimbing pada materi larutan penyangga secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan proses sains siswa  dibandingkan dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran praktikum konvensional. Hal ini ditunjukan dari N-gain yang dinormalisasi keterampilan berpikir kritis untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,66 lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol sebesar 0,53. Begitu juga dengan N-gain yang dinormalisasi keterampilan proses sains kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,70 lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol sebesar 0,46.

Abstract

Information about score obtained from a test is often interpreted as an indicator of the student's ability level. This is one of the weaknesses of classical analysis that are unable to provide meaningful and fair information. The acquisition of the same score if it comes from a test item with a different level of difficulty, must show different abilities. Analysis of the Rasch model will overcome this weakness. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of the items by validating the national chemistry exam instrument using the Rasch model. The research sample was 212 new students of the Department of Chemistry at the State University of Medan. The data collected was in the form of respondent's answer data to the 2013 chemistry UN questions, which amounted to 40 items multiple choice and uses the documentation method. Data analysis technique used the Rasch Model with Ministep software. The results of the analysis show the quality of the Chemistry National Exam (UN) questions is categorized as very good based on the following aspects: unidimension, item fit test, person map item, difficulty test level, person and item reliability. There is one item found to be gender bias, in which men benefit more than women. The average chemistry ability of respondents is above the average level of difficulty of the test items

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan cara mengembangkan lembar kerja praktikum percobaan melde berbasis project based learning (PjBL), (2) mendeskripsikan tingkat kelayakan, (3) mendeskripsikan tingkat kemenarikan lembar kerja praktikum percobaan melde berbasis PjBL. Subjek penelitian 41 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian yang diadaptasi dari Thiagarajan (4D) yaitu metode (Research and Development), meliputi define, design, developt, dan desiminatte. Penelitian dilakukan sampai pada tahap pengembangan, dan menghasilkan produk berupa lembar kerja praktikum percobaan melde berbasis PjBL. Hasil penilaian lembar kerja praktikum percobaan melde berbasis PjBL dengan alat pengumpulan data angket tertutup, analisis data menggunakan mixed method yaitu: pada penilaian ahli media 87,3% (sangat layak), dan penilaian ahli materi 88,2% (sangat layak). Selanjutnya, Hasil uji coba lembar kerja praktikum percobaan melde berbasis PjBL dengan alat pengumpulan data angket tertutup, analisis data menggunakan mixed method antara lain: uji coba satu lawan satu 80%, uji coba kelompok kecil 80,6%, dan uji coba lapangan 81,5% ketiga hasil uji coba dikriteriakan sangat menarik. Jadi, lembar kerja praktikum percobaan melde berbasis PjBL sangat layak dijadikan media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) become one of the major focuses of 21st-century learning. Those skills can be trained through stimulus in the learning process and assessment that uses hots-based questions. The research aims to generate higher-order thinking skills qualified questions on colligative properties of solutions that fulfill validity and reliability instrument. This research uses the Borg Gall development model that consists of data collection, product planning, expert validation, limited trial, and final product improvement stages. The data collection procedure consisted of a study of documentation, validation sheets, and tests. Validation sheets are used to carry out validation tests and product quality assessments by experts and reviewers. The test was used to conduct a limited trial by 40 students of class XII MAN Temanggung. The test subjects were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results of this study were 20 HOTS-qualified multiple-choice questions on the colligative properties of solutions that have very good quality by the experts and reviewers' judgment. Item analysis based on the results of the limited test on 40 students showed 17 items (85%) were valid with a reliability value of 0.82 (very strong); the difficulty level of the items is 15% easy, 75% medium, 10% difficult and; the distinguishing power of questions obtained 85% good categories. It can be concluded that the HOTS-qualified questions for the material of Colligative Properties of Solutions have good quality and are suitable for use as an assessment instrument

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan sikap ilmiah siswa dengan menggunakan model CIL pada materi suhu dan kalor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen research dengan desain non-equivalent control group design”.Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan secara Cluster Random Sampling (sampel acak kelompok). Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-MIA1 dan X-MIA2 SMA N 6 Banda Aceh tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dan angket sikap ilmiah. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata pretest keterampilan berpikir kritis untuk kelas eksperimen dan control masih belum mencapai criteria ketuntasan minimum (KKM). Selanjutnya, setelah penerapan model CIL persentase nilai rata-rata posttest keterampilan berpikir kritis meningkat untuk kelas eksperimen 76 dan rata-rata gain pada kelas eksperimen dikategorikan tinggi. skor pretest pada kedua kelas tidak terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum diterapkan model CIL. Sedangkan, untuk skor posttest terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen setelah diterapkan model CIL. Kemudian untuk  N-Gain diperoleh thitung ttabel (3,95 2,01) dapat dikatakan bahwa peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model CIL lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran lab. Verifikasi pada materi suhu dan kalor, atau dengan kata lain model CIL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan sikap ilmiah siswa. Hasil analisis angket sikap ilmiah menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan dengan rata-rata 72% untuk kelas eksperimen dari 7 indikator terdapat 5 indikator dikategorikan tinggi dan 2 indikator dikategorikan sedang.

Abstract

This study aims to identify: (1) the impact of high order thinking skill integrated problem based learning on critical thinking skill; (2) the impact of high order thinking skill integrated problem based learning on student self-esteem; (3) the influence of high order thinking skill integrated problem based learning has both the critical thinking skill and self-esteem together. This study is an experimental quasi study with a pretest-posttest control design. The populationsof this study were the wholestudents of Primary School Teacher Education in the 4th semester of Ahmad Dahlan University by the year 2020/2021. This research used a random sampling technique. The data were analyzed using independent t-test and MANOVA, and Hoteling’s Trace test.The results showed that (1) there was an influence of HOTS integrated PBL that there are critical thinking skills; (2) there is an influence of HOTS integrated PBL that there is the confidence of the students; (3) there is an influence of HOTS integrated PBL that there arecritical thinking skills and confidence together

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan KBK siswa dan respon siswa terhadap penerapan pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pesawat sederhana di kelas VIII SMPN 9 Banda Aceh. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment menggunakan dua kelas, dengan bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 9 Banda Aceh, dengan kelas VIII-3dan VIII-4 sebagai sampel. Instrumen meliputi soal tes, lembar observasi dan angket. Sebagai hasil ditemukan bahwa: KBK siswa yang diajarkan dengan metode inkuiri terbimbing nilai posttestnya lebih tinggi daripada yang diajarkan dengan metode konvensional, dengan perbandingan N-gain sebesar 16,76 untuk kelas kontrol dan 17,82 untuk kelas eksperimen. Abstract

Chemistry learning ideally should invite students to interact directly with the object being studied. This can be realized through a practicum in the laboratory. However, chemistry practicum still generates significant waste in the environment. There is also a need for character education to promote environmental literacy. Therefore, there is a need for a green chemistry-based practicum module for class X senior high school. This research aims to develop a green chemistry-based practicum module, to know the quality of a green chemistry-based practicum module, and to know the students' responses to environmental literacy. This a research and development using a modified Borg and Gall development model that includes information gathering, planning, product development, limited trial, and product revisions. The results of the validity of the green chemistry-based practicum module in terms of material had a percentage of 93.45% and in terms of media had a percentage of 90.00% with a very valid criterion. The use of the green chemistry-based practicum module gets a very practical criterion with a score of 86.67% based on students’ responses. The green chemistry-based practicum module effectively increases students’ learning outcomes which are marked by the n-gain value of 0.3 - 0.78 in the medium to high criteria. The value of tcount ttable and sig.(2-tailed) in three practicums 0.05 indicates that the green chemistry-based practicum module can support students' environmental literacy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul praktikum berbasis inkuiri, serta mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) dan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan modul praktikum berbasis inkuiri. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Bukit Bener Meriah dengan sampel sebanyak 24 orang siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau RD (Research and Development) dengan desain penelitian One Group Pre-Test and Post Test Desain. Hasil validasi dari tiga validator yaitu dosen ahli materi, dosen ahli media, dan guru mata pelajaran fisika menunjukkan bahwa kualitas modul termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik dan dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran setelah dilakukan sedikit revisi, selain itu respon peserta didik terhadap modul yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat positif. Peningkatan KPS paling tinggi terjadi pada indikator meramalkan yaitu dengan N-gain sebesar 0,93% dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Sedangkan peningkatan N-gain terendah terjadi pada indikator memberikan hipotesis yaitu sebesar 0,12% dan termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Uji statistik dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05% menunjukkan nilai yang diperoleh yaitu 10,6 1,714 karena  thitung ttabel maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan modul praktikum berbasis inkuiri dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan.
