Abstract

Literasi dan numerasi merupakan kemampuan dasar yang snagat penting bagi setiap peserta didik yang dapat berguna untuk kehidupan sehari-hari. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa kompetensi literasi dan numerasi peserta didik di indonesia masih sangat rendah. Oleh karena itu, kemendikbudristek (kementrian pendidikan, kebudayaan, riset, dan teknologi) melalui kebijakan merdeka belajar kampus merdeka (MBKM) menciptakan sebuah program yaitu kampus mengajar, yang mengajar mahasiswa untuk berkontribusi dalam upaya meningkatkan pembelajaran literasi dan numerasi peserta didik di indonesia, khususnya untuk peserta didik jenjang sekolah dasar, sekolah menengah pertama dan sekolah menengah kejuruan. Mahasiswa kampus mengajar ditugaskan langsung untuk terjun ke sekolah-sekolah yang ada didomisili mereka masing-masing yang kemampuan literasi dan numerasi nya masih rendah menurut data dari dinas pendidikan setempat untuk membantu sekolah, menjadi mitra guru dan berkolaborasi dengan guru-guru disekolah penugasan dan membantu peserta didik sesuai dengan kondisi sekolah dan kebutuhan peserta didik. Selain itu, mahasiswa kampus mengajar juga membimbing siswa kelas 5(lima) dalam melaksanakan AKM siswa untuk mengukur sejauh mana kemampuan literasi dan numerasi peserta didik. Tujuan dari kampus mengajar ini adalah agar mahasiswa dapat berkolaborasi dengan guru-guru di sekolah penugasan, mahasiswa dapat belajar diluar lingkungan kampus dan terjun langsung melihat kondisi di sekolah dan membantu peserta didik dalam meningkatkan literasi dan numerasi serta adaptasi teknologi. Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of ethnomathematics-based worksheets on Lampung batik motifs in understanding valid and practical geometric transformation concepts. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). This research produced a product in the form of ethnomathematics-based worksheets on transformation material at SMP PGRI Kesumadadi. The research procedure used is the Borg and Gall development model which goes through several stages including: potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, and product revision. In the product trial stage, a limited trial was carried out involving 15 class IX students at SMP PGRI Kesumadadi. The research instruments used were material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results of this development research show that the assessment of the material expert validation obtained an average validation result of 88.12% with the validation criterion of "Very Valid". Furthermore, the results of the validation of media experts obtained an average validation result of 91.66% with the validation criterion of "Very Valid". The results of the analysis of the student response questionnaire at the limited trial stage obtained a percentage of 92.6% with the practicality criterion "Very Practical".

Abstract

This research is based on the assumption that mathematics is a difficult to understand and boring science, resulting in low attraction and interest of students when meeting mathematics subjects. Therefore, it is necessary to have learning support tools so that it is easier to deliver material so that students do not experience difficulties. The research focuses on analyzing mathematical concepts in pandan weaving crafts and exploring information related to the initial response if pandan weaving crafts are used as a mathematics learning medium. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research type with an ethnographic approach. Data obtained from the results of documentation and interviews. The data analysis techniques used are domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, component analysis and cultural theme analysis. In domain analysis, it consists of the domain of objects, tools and images. In taxonomic analysis, it is in the form of a concept map. In the component analysis, it is in the form of re-checking each component to obtain the validity of the data. In the analysis of cultural themes, five sub-themes were found in the form of geometry, lines, angles, congruence and revival. The results of the study showed an analysis of the existence of mathematical concepts contained in pandan weaving crafts. The results of the discussion showed that information related to pandan weaving crafts was used as a mathematics learning medium that received a fairly good initial response from mathematics teachers because it could make it easier to convey material, hone thinking skills and make it possible to make students attractive and interested in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep perkalian, melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran “komuka” (Kantong Mudah Perkalian). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 3 di SDN 1 Bae yang berjumlah 20 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Pada setiap siklus dilakukan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitataif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan media pembelajaran “komuka” (Kantong Mudah Perkalian) dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa secara aktif yang dibuktikan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa yang sudah mencapai target. Pada siklus pertama tingkat ketuntasan siswa mencapai 60% dan siklus kedua meningkat menjadi 85%. Kriteria Ketuntasan dalam penelitian ini adalah 75%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan penggunaan media “komuka” (Kantong Mudah Perkalian) dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep perkalian siswa kelas 3 di SDN 1 Bae.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan math comic berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dalam materi bilangan bulat pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak yang mencapai tingkat kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model rancangan pengembangan ADDIE, yang terdiri atas lima tahapan pokok, yaitu Analisys (analisis), Design (perencanaan), Development (pengembangan), Implementation (penerapan), dan Evaluation (evaluasi). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak sebanyak 31 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, angket, dan soal posttest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang pertama adalah validasi math comic berbasis CTL yaitu dengan nilai rata-rata dari ketiga ahli sebesar 83,23% dalam kriteria valid. Yang kedua adalah nilai kepraktisan, dilihat dari nilai angket yang diisi guru dan seluruh siswa yang diakumulasikan sehingga diperoleh persentase sebesar 83,06% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Selanjutnya keefektifan, dilihat dari hasil pengerjaan posttest siswa dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 25 siswa dari 31 siswa dengan persentase 80,64% dimana kriterianya efektif. Demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan math comic berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dalam materi bilangan bulat di kelas VII SMP 13 Negeri Pontianak tergolong valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan.

Abstract

This study aims to explore ethnomathematics concepts in "kue lumpur" (mud cake) sold at Gondanglegi Market, Malang. The research employs an ethnographic method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, focusing on mathematical elements found in the shape and production process of "kue lumpur." The results reveal that the cake contains geometric concepts, such as circular shapes and their properties, as well as the concept of a system of linear equations with two variables (SPLDV) related to raw materials, production quantity, costs, and profits. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating local culture into mathematics education through ethnomathematics to provide more relevant and applicable learning experiences for students while preserving cultural heritage

Abstract

Education and culture are two interrelated entities. Mathematics is an abstract field of study, making it difficult for students to understand its concepts. Culture plays a role in providing concrete objects for learning mathematics. The integration of culture into mathematics is known as ethnomathematics. This study aims to explore the ethnomathematical elements in the attire of the Pontianak Sultanate and relate them to geometric concepts in mathematics education. This research is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, with Syech Arsula as the main informant. The findings indicate that various geometric elements, such as symmetry, patterns, and basic shapes, are present in the design of the Pontianak Sultanate attire. These findings can serve as a learning resource for geometry education in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to identify mathematical elements, particularly geometric concepts, found in the shields of the Dayak tribe from West Kalimantan. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive exploratory approach. Data were collected through literature review and document analysis. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which consists of four stages: data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the Dayak shields from West Kalimantan contain various geometric elements, including rectangles, isosceles triangles, reflectional symmetry, circles, reflection transformations, and translation transformations. This finding indicates that the Dayak shield from West Kalimantan not only holds significant historical and cultural value but also has the potential to be utilized as a resource for learning geometry.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of technology in mathematics learning through a literature review. The main problem highlighted is the low motivation and achievement of students in mathematics, often due to traditional teaching methods that are less engaging. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review design, data were collected from relevant scientific articles published in national and international journals indexed by SINTA and Scopus. The findings indicate that technology plays a vital role in supporting mathematics education. Various interactive learning media, such as interactive multimedia, GeoGebra, Wordwall, augmented reality (AR), QuizWhizzer, and 3D printing technology, have been proven effective in helping students grasp abstract mathematical concepts by making them more concrete. Additionally, technology can enhance students’ motivation, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities, leading to more meaningful learning experiences. For teachers, technology facilitates the design of more varied, interactive, and student-centered lessons, thus supporting their role as facilitators. However, the implementation of technology still faces challenges, particularly regarding infrastructure limitations and teachers’ readiness to operate technology-based learning media. Therefore, optimizing the use of technology in mathematics education is essential to help students achieve competencies relevant to 21st-century needs.

Abstract

Solving mathematical problems with reasoning is still rarely studied. A study needs to be conducted to find out how students think and choose the right steps in solving a problem. This study aims to determine students' deductive reasoning in solving geometry problems based on ethnomathematics in class VIII students of SMP Syarifatul Ulum Katerban. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The ethnomathematics-based geometry story test and interview guidelines are the instruments in this study. The data collected were the results of daily geometry test scores, test questions, and interviews. This study was conducted in class VIII of SMP Syarifatul Ulum Katerban. The results of the analysis showed that students with a high score category of 28% were able to meet the deductive reasoning indicators, namely having the ability to construct logical arguments (students are able to understand problems and are able to make plans in solving problems), having the ability to solve problems systematically (students are able to carry out plans by applying correct mathematical concepts), and having the ability to link knowledge with other contexts (students are able to evaluate results and check answers carefully). Students with a medium score category with a percentage of 50% were only able to fulfill the first deductive reasoning indicator, namely the ability to construct logical arguments (students were able to understand problems and were able to make plans to solve problems), and students with a low score category of 22% did not fulfill the deductive reasoning indicator at all.
