Abstract

This study aims to map gastronomic tourism destinations in Surakarta City to support the preservation of traditional culinary delights through the application of the K-means Clustering algorithm. The research data included 21 destinations assessed based on four main variables: culinary, culture, economy, and infrastructure. The analysis process began with data normalization, followed by clustering to obtain optimal grouping based on a Silhouette Score of 0.3264. The results revealed three main clusters: the Very Good Cluster, with high scores on all variables and the potential to become a gastronomic tourism icon; the Fairly Good Cluster, with moderate quality and development opportunities through innovation and capacity building; and the Poor Cluster, with relatively low cultural and economic value despite adequate infrastructure. These findings indicate the need for different development strategies for each cluster, such as large-scale promotion for superior clusters, service quality development for medium clusters, and strengthening traditional values for low clusters. This study demonstrates that clustering can be a strategic tool in formulating policies for the development of traditional culinary delights. The limitation of this research lies in the geographical scope which only covers Surakarta City, so further research is suggested to expand the study area and consider additional variables such as environmental sustainability and the role of social media. Objective: This research aims to develop an innovative gastronomic tourism clustering model to support the preservation of traditional culinary delights. This model is expected to serve as a strategic foundation for mapping and developing integrated and sustainable gastronomic tourism destinations in Indonesia. Research Methods: Using a mixed-methods approach, this study combines quantitative analysis using the K-means Clustering Algorithm and qualitative analysis through in-depth interviews and field observations. Data was collected from 21 gastronomic tourism destinations in Surakarta. The modeling will be implemented in a website-based information system using Codeigniter 4. Implications: This clustering model has significant implications for formulating more targeted policies and programs for the preservation of traditional culinary delights. With systematic clustering, the government and businesses can develop tailored strategies for each cluster, increasing the economic and cultural value of culinary delights, and ensuring their sustainability.

Abstract

Abstrak Industri perhotelan saat ini tengah memasuki fase transformasi signifikan, seiring dengan semakin masifnya integrasi AI ke dalam strategi pemasaran digital. Hotel-hotel kini aktif mengadopsi beragam perangkat dan solusi AI untuk memperkuat keterlibatan pelanggan, menciptakan pengalaman yang lebih personal, serta meningkatkan efisiensi operasional. Berdasarkan kajian literatur dan observasi, dapat diidentifikasi sejumlah teknologi utama yang mendorong perubahan ini seperti machine learning untuk analisis prediktif perilaku pelanggan, chatbot untuk komunikasi secara real-time, serta predictive analytics yang membantu optimalisasi pemasaran digital dalam harga, promosi, dan peramalan permintaan. Temuan penelitian menegaskan bahwa AI berperan penting dalam memungkinkan hotel menciptakan interaksi yang lebih responsif serta sesuai kebutuhan tamu, sehingga berdampak positif terhadap tingkat kepuasan, loyalitas, dan profitabilitas. Lebih lanjut, AI juga memperkuat fungsi pemasaran digital dengan memungkinkan tim untuk merancang kampanye yang dinamis dan relevan, serta mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan preferensi pelanggan secara berkelanjutan. Sebagai ilustrasi, sistem rekomendasi berbasis AI dapat menawarkan paket atau layanan yang dipersonalisasi, sementara analisis sentimen otomatis dari ulasan daring membantu manajemen dalam merespons secara cepat dan strategis. Meski demikian, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi sejumlah tantangan krusial, antara lain isu keamanan dan privasi data, tingginya biaya investasi, serta kebutuhan akan literasi digital dan pelatihan SDM yang masih menjadi hambatan signifikan dalam implementasi AI di industri perhotelan. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menggaris bawahi bahwa dalam konteks Society 5.0 di mana teknologi dan inovasi berorientasi pada manusia AI bukan sekadar instrumen pendukung, melainkan kekuatan transformatif dalam pemasaran digitalisasi industry hotel. Hotel yang mampu menyeimbangkan pemanfaatan teknologi, pertimbangan etis, serta kesiapan sumber daya manusia akan memiliki daya saing yang lebih kuat di era digital yang semakin kompetitif. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh brand image terhadap keputusan pengguna fasilitas MICE di Hotel HARRIS Suites Puri Mansion. Dalam industri perhotelan yang sangat kompetitif, citra merek terbukti menjadi faktor kunci dalam menarik konsumen (Kotler & Keller, 2016; Wijaya & Prabowo, 2021). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam, focus group discussion (FGD), serta observasi lapangan. Analisis SWOT dilengkapi dengan matriks IFAS dan EFAS untuk menilai faktor internal dan eksternal, yang kemudian dipetakan dalam diagram kartesius. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan utama hotel terletak pada reputasi jaringan internasional, lokasi strategis, serta kualitas layanan restoran, sedangkan kelemahan utama adalah keterbatasan ballroom yang memiliki pilar. Dari hasil perhitungan IFAS (1,95) dan EFAS (2,25), posisi hotel berada pada kuadran Growth Strategy, yang menegaskan perlunya strategi agresif dalam penguatan citra merek, pemanfaatan peluang MICE pasca-pandemi, serta inovasi dalam pemasaran digital (Sulistyo & Kurniawan, 2023; Citrawati & Kusumarini, 2024). Dengan demikian, brand image terbukti menjadi determinan utama keputusan konsumen dalam memilih layanan MICE, serta memberikan implikasi strategis bagi pengembangan daya saing hotel di era pasca-pandemi. Abstract

Abstrak Indonesia adalah negara yang kaya akan keberagaman etnis, dengan ratusan suku bangsa yang tersebar di seluruh wilayah, masing-masing memiliki keunikan budaya tersendiri. Keharmonisan antar etnis menjadi bagian penting dalam membentuk kehidupan sosial yang damai, seperti yang tercermin di Bali, di mana budaya lokal dan wisatawan mancanegara dapat hidup berdampingan secara harmonis. Konsep harmonisasi antar etnis mencerminkan upaya menciptakan kehidupan yang rukun dan saling menghargai dalam keberagaman. Seperti banyak kota di Indonesia, Bogor memiliki populasi etnis yang beragam, termasuk orang Sunda, Tionghoa, dan Arab. Keanekaragaman ini membentuk identitas sosial-kultural yang unik dan bisa menjadi daya tarik wisata dengan melakukan explorasi dari banyak potensi wisata , seperti kuliner, atraksi budaya , hingga kegiatan keagaman . Fokus penelitian adalah bagaimana harmonisasi etnis membentuk identitas sosial-kultural dan potensi pariwisata budaya Kota Bogor. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif melalui studi pustaka dan observasi lapangan terbatas, Kawasan seperti Surya Kencana, Empang, dan Mulyaharja merupakan contoh yang dapat diperluas sebagai destinasi wisata budaya multietnis. Kata kunci ; Harmonisasi, Eksplorasi dan Daya tarik wisata Abstract Indonesia is a nation characterized by rich ethnic diversity, with hundreds of ethnic groups distributed across its regions, each with distinct cultural identities. Interethnic harmony plays a critical role in fostering peaceful social life, as seen in Bali, where local communities and international tourists coexist in mutual respect. The concept of ethnic harmonization reflects an effort to create peaceful and respectful coexistence amidst diversity. Similar to other Indonesian cities, Bogor is home to various ethnic groups, including Sundanese, Chinese, and Arab communities. This cultural diversity contributes to the city's unique socio-cultural identity and presents a strong potential for tourism development. By exploring elements such as traditional cuisine, cultural attractions, and religious activities, these communities can become valuable assets for cultural tourism. This study investigates how ethnic harmonization shapes Bogor’s socio-cultural identity and supports its cultural tourism potential. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach, based on literature review and limited field observation, this paper identifies areas such as Surya Kencana, Empang, and Mulyaharja as exemplary multiethnic cultural tourism destinations that can be further developed. Abstract

Abstrak Pariwisata Kawasan Puncak Bogor menjadi wajah paradoks industri pariwisata: di satu sisi menjadi pendorong ekonomi, di sisi lain melahirkan persoalan overtourism seperti kemacetan, polusi, dan tekanan lingkungan. Penelitian ini mengkaji arah kebijakan pemerintah serta praktik pengelolaan destinasi yang dilakukan oleh pengelola lokal dalam menjawab tantangan tersebut. Pendekatan kualitatif berbasis kajian literatur digunakan dengan merujuk pada studi akademik, laporan kebijakan, dan publikasi organisasi internasional periode 2020-2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan pemerintah daerah berfokus pada digitalisasi sistem kunjungan, penguatan tata kelola berbasis kolaborasi, serta regulasi zonasi. Sementara itu, pengelola destinasi mulai mengadopsi inovasi digital dan model Destination Management Organization (DMO). Namun, kesenjangan akses digital bagi UMKM lokal menjadi tantangan serius yang harus diatasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa masa depan pariwisata di Kawasan Puncak hanya akan berkelanjutan apabila kebijakan publik dan praktik pengelolaan bersifat inklusif, berbasis data, serta menempatkan keseimbangan ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan sebagai tujuan utama. Abstract Tourism in the Puncak highlands of Bogor illustrates the paradox of the tourism industry: on the one hand, it drives economic growth, yet on the other, it generates overtourism issues such as congestion, pollution, and environmental pressure. This study examines the direction of government policies and the management practices implemented by local destination managers in addressing these challenges. A qualitative approach based on literature review was employed, drawing from academic studies, policy reports, and international organizational publications from 2020-2025. The findings reveal that local government policies have focused on digitalizing visitor registration systems, strengthening collaborative governance, and implementing zoning regulations. Meanwhile, destination managers have begun adopting digital innovations and the Destination Management Organization (DMO) model. However, digital access gaps for local SMEs remain a critical challenge that must be addressed. The study concludes that the future of tourism in Puncak will only be sustainable if public policies and management practices are inclusive, data-driven, and committed to balancing economic growth, social equity, and environmental sustainability. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the integration of social capital and storytelling in the Selasa Wagen program in Malioboro, Yogyakarta, focusing on its role in cultural preservation, local economic development, and sustainable tourism management. Research Methods: A qualitative case study approach was employed. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 15 informants (government officials, street vendors, community leaders, and tourists), participatory observation, and document review. Data were analyzed thematically using NVivo. Implication: Findings indicate that Selasa Wagen integrates social trust, networks, and norms with cultural narratives, creating an inclusive tourism model. This model not only preserves heritage but also strengthens local identity, enhances visitor experiences, and fosters collaborative governance.

Abstract

This study was conducted to address the need for a clear understanding of visitor satisfaction levels and the key determinants influencing satisfaction at Marina Beach, Kalianda District, South Lampung Regency. In the context of increasing competition among tourist destinations, identifying the core factors that shape visitor satisfaction is essential for improving service quality and destination competitiveness. Therefore, this study aims to measure visitor satisfaction and determine the dominant factors affecting it. A survey method was applied to 70 visitors. Visitor satisfaction was analyzed using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), while factor analysis was employed to identify the dominant influencing factors. The results indicate “satisfied”, with a CSI score of 77,10%. Five dominant factors were identified: accessibility and security; public facilities; information and services; comfort and attractiveness; and entertainment and attractions. These findings demonstrate that improvements in accessibility, security, and supporting facilities will yield the most significant impact on enhancing visitor satisfaction. The results provide an empirical basis for prioritizing resource allocation and strengthening Marina Beach’s competitive position as a sustainable tourism destination

Abstract

This study examines how service quality and facilities influence customer satisfaction at Cinta Jawa Cafe in Tokyo. A quantitative survey was administered to 75 customers and analyzed using multiple linear regression, supported by t-tests for partial effects and an F-test for the overall model. The respondent profile was dominated by men (53%), aged 17–27 (68%), with senior high school education (45%), and mostly students (46%); nearly half reported monthly food-and-beverage spending of 10,000–30,000 yen (49%), suggesting a young, value-oriented market segment. The results indicate that service quality has a positive and statistically significant effect on customer satisfaction (Sig = 0.000; t = 4.826), implying that timely, accurate, and courteous service plays a decisive role in shaping satisfaction. In contrast, facilities show no significant partial effect in the combined model (Sig = 0.651; t = 0.454), which may reflect overlapping variance with service-quality perceptions or a stronger customer emphasis on the service process than on physical attributes. Despite this, the model is significant simultaneously (Sig = 0.000; F = 32.308), confirming that the predictors jointly explain meaningful variation in satisfaction. The study contributes by providing evidence from an Indonesian restaurant context in Tokyo, where empirical findings on the relative importance of service quality versus facilities remain limited, and offers practical insight that managerial priorities should center on strengthening service performance while maintaining adequate physical conditions.

Abstract

This study explores the potential for developing educational tourism based on local culture in Sukamandi Village, focusing on traditional arts such as Pencak Silat, Tutunggulan, and regional culinary heritage. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data collection process was carried out by Lala Siti Sahara, Audreylia Syifanizar E, and Akmal Maulana Purwanto. The findings reveal that these cultural elements possess strong educational value and tourism appeal, yet remain underutilized. Pencak Silat retains authentic “buhun” movements passed down through generations; Tutunggulan holds symbolic significance but is limited to ceremonial events; and local cuisine and bamboo crafts face marketing and generational challenges. The study recommends the development of interactive educational tourism packages featuring hands on training, cultural performances, and culinary experiences. This approach serves both as a tool for cultural preservation and as a driver for local economic growth. The success of such initiatives relies heavily on active community engagement and partnerships with external stakeholders to support training, infrastructure, and sustainable promotion

Abstract

This study analyzes the development of culture-based tourist attractions in Satupam Tourism Village, South Tangerang, by focusing on the implementation of the pentahelix collaboration model. Utilizing a qualitative method with a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, the research involves active collaboration between academics, tourism managers, and local communities. The findings reveal that pentahelix collaboration has been initiated through the academic sector's role in providing legal assistance and human resource training, as well as local government support via a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). A significant cultural transformation is identified within the Rumpun Betawi community, where the "Palang Pintu" performance has evolved from a private traditional ritual into a symbolic attraction for welcoming tourists. Furthermore, while media outlets have begun promoting the village’s potential, the business sector’s involvement remains limited to incidental service usage without long-term investment. The research concludes that integrated synergy among these five pillars serves as a vital strategic foundation for building a sustainable cultural tourism destination. Despite the village being in the preparation phase for general visitors, the internal readiness and collective spirit of local actors indicate strong potential for Satupam to grow as a representative hub for Betawi cultural identity in the region.
