Journal of Business Management and Economic Development (JBMED) is an international academic open-access journal that has gained a foothold in Indonesia, Asia and is open to the world. It aims to promote the integration of trade, economics, and finance. The focus is to publish papers on state-of-the-art economics, business and management. Submitted papers will be reviewed by technical committees of the journal and association. The audience includes researchers, managers, and operators for economics, business, and management as well as designers and developers. All submitted articles should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical, and will be peer-reviewed. Articles submitted to the journal should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should follow the style of the journal and are subject to both review and editing.

Abstract

Employee innovation is a crucial aspect of organizations in the current era. Therefore, studying the factors influencing individual innovation is vital and unavoidable. Undoubtedly, job satisfaction is a significant variable in management sciences. Nowadays, all organizations are interconnected with technology. This research explores the relationship between job satisfaction and individual innovation, including its components and the moderating role of technostress. This study, in terms of purpose, is applied, and in terms of data collection method, it is a descriptive survey. Data collection tools included the Technostress Inventory by Tarafdar and colleagues (2007), Janssen's Individual Innovation Questionnaire (2000), and the Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) by Spector (1994). The validity and reliability of these questionnaires were confirmed. The sample size for this study was 215, and data analysis was performed using SPSS and SMART-PLS software. Job satisfaction has a significant and positive relationship with individual innovation, idea generation, idea promotion, and idea implementation. Technostress moderates the relationship between job satisfaction and individual innovation, idea generation, and idea promotion. However, technostress does not play a moderating role in the relationship between job satisfaction and idea implementation. Conclusion: Based on the results, organizations should take necessary measures to increase job satisfaction and reduce employee technostress.

Abstract

Frugal Living or commonly known as a frugal lifestyle is a lifestyle that places a person's consciousness at the highest level when using the money they have while still paying attention to the value of an item. Many people interpret a frugal lifestyle as a frugal lifestyle, which is not wrong, although when it comes to the word frugal, individuals usually put aside the qualities obtained by adopting a frugal lifestyle. Childfree is a term that is often referred to as a concept when married couples decide to choose a life path of not having or raising children. Frugal Living and Childfree are lifestyles that are widely adopted by society, especially young married couples, for the reason that the decision not to have or raise children is because they do not have enough income so that if they have or raise children it will only increase their obligations which will lead to difficulties in managing them. Family finance. These couples of childbearing age (PUS) believe that frugal living is one of their actions by not having or raising children so that their finances can be managed well. Financial literacy is the ability to understand and use a variety of financial skills effectively, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing. When you are financially literate, you have a basic relationship with money, and it is a lifelong learning journey. The earlier you start, the better off you will be, because education is the key to success when it comes to money. This research seeks to find a relationship between the literacy level of every young couple in Indonesia and the decision to adopt a frugal and childfree lifestyle, especially in West Java Province.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the external and internal environment, including opportunities, challenges, strengths, and weaknesses, regarding the Digital Marketing Strategy for Mangrove Ecotourism towards SDG 8.3 at Rawa Aopa Watumohai National Park. This research method utilizes a qualitative approach with SWOT analysis. Findings reveal that the Park supports various training and capacity-building activities for local entrepreneurs around the Park, reflecting the local community's enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, thus establishing a connection between SDG 8.3 and the Park. Weaknesses include the need for improvement in the quantity of tourism facilities, transportation, public infrastructure, and internet connectivity. Opportunities arise from leveraging social media for optimal promotion of tourism locations to attract tourists. Threats stem from competition with similar tourist destinations, potentially reducing visitor numbers. Additionally, climate change and threats to species diversity in the park necessitate better management planning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the application of Calculation, Deposit and Reporting of Value Added Tax and Income Tax at Construction Services Company CV. ABC Kendari Period Year 2022. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques through interviews and literature studies regarding tax data and financial reports of CV. ABC Kendari during the 2022 period. The results of this study indicate that the application of the calculation, deposit and reporting of Value Added Tax and Final Income Tax Article 4 Paragraph (2) that has been carried out by CV. ABC Kendari as a company that has been confirmed as a Taxable Entrepreneur is in accordance with the General Provisions and Procedures for Taxation and the current Legislation and every work completed is made a Tax Invoice in accordance with the value stated in the Pay Order or Disbursement Order received from the Government Agency or Office Treasurer as a service user.

Abstract

The use of e-wallets is increasingly needed by entrepreneurs to improve their business performance. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of perceived ease of use on perceived usefulness, customer satisfaction, and continuance intention. This research was conducted on students who own businesses and use e-wallets to operate their businesses. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Respondents used in this study amounted to 85 people. Data analysis using SEM-PLS. The results of the study found that Perceived Ease of Use has a significant effect on Customer Satisfaction, Perceived Ease of Use has no significant effect on Continuance Intention, Perceived Usefulness has a significant effect on Customer Satisfaction, Perceived Usefulness has no significant effect on Continuance Intention, and Customer Satisfaction has a significant effect on Continuance Intention. The results of this study suggest that e-wallet companies increase customer satisfaction because they play an important role in linking Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness to Continuance Intention.

Abstract

Poverty is a global problem faced by many countries in the world, including Indonesia. In an effort to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), poverty reduction is the main focus. This study aims to determine the effect of economic growth, unemployment rate, education, and local revenue on the poverty rate, and analyse the factors that influence poverty in Lumajang Regency. Multiple linear regression analysis method using Eviews 10 analysis tool was used in this study, with the research period covering 2012-2021. The results show that the Local Own Revenue (PAD) and Education Index have a significant influence on the poverty rate, while economic growth and unemployment rate have no significant influence on poverty. The findings suggest that the influence of unemployment, PAD, education, and economic growth on poverty rates in Indonesia is significant.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between macroeconomic factors and the financial performance of Nadira Fashion Company, located in Randugunting village, Bergas subdistrict, Semarang district. As a fundamental social necessity, clothing is intricately linked to daily life, with fashion trends evolving continually in the modern era. Despite its prominence, the fashion industry faces challenges influenced by macroeconomic conditions that impact company performance and value. Through path analysis utilizing data from banking financial reports and Indonesia's economic growth reports for 2021-2022, this research explores the impact of macroeconomic variables such as economic growth, inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, and government policies on Nadira Fashion Company's financial performance. The findings reveal that while fundamental macroeconomic factors may not significantly influence Nadira Fashion Company's financial performance or value, the company's internal financial metrics, notably profitability measured by return on equity (ROE), demonstrate a substantial positive correlation with company value. These results highlight the importance of considering company-specific factors alongside macroeconomic variables in assessing financial performance and value in the fashion industry. The study provides valuable insights for investors, policymakers, and business managers, aiding in strategic decision-making and risk management. Ultimately, by understanding the interplay between macroeconomic conditions and company dynamics, stakeholders can navigate challenges effectively and capitalize on opportunities for sustainable growth in the fashion sector.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of work-life balance and burnout on employee performance. This research is quantitative. The sample in this study was several office employees at PT. Pertamina RU VI Balongan. The sampling technique used was the Slovin technique by taking 0.01 from the existing population. Data collection was obtained by distributing questionnaires and direct observation. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the research results, it shows that simultaneously work-life balance (X1) has a significant effect on employee performance (Y), and burnout (X2) has a negative and significant effect on employee performance (Y) for employees PT. Pertamina RU VI Balongan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of audit quality, audit committee, leverage, and independent commissioners on the integrity of financial statements in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2021. This study also examines whether company size can moderate the respective relationship between audit quality, audit committee, leverage, and independent commissioners on the integrity of financial statements. This study used a quantitative approach with a comparative causal type. The population in this study is all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2021. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The data used in this study is secondary data accessed through the IDX website. Data analysis uses multiple regression analysis for audit quality hypothesis, audit committee, leverage, and the independent commissioner as well as absolute difference value analysis for audit quality, audit committee, leverage, and independent commissioner on financial statement integrity with company size as a moderation variable. The results of this study show that the quality of audits, audit committees, leverage, and independent commissioners have a positive and significant effect on the integrity of financial statements. The moderation variable is the size of the company able to moderate the relationship between audit quality, audit committee, and leverage on the integrity of financial statements.

Abstract

Global stock markets experienced several spikes and dips during the pandemic. In March 2020, there was a sharp decline in many stock exchanges around the world, known as "Black Thursday". Major stock indice such as S&P 1200 Global Board Market Index (BMI) Shariah experienced significant declines in a short period of time. However, since those declines, global stock markets have experienced a strong recovery. Huge economic stimulus, hopes for a COVID-19 vaccine, and measures to ease restrictions have made investors more optimistic. Many major stock indices have managed to reach new highs in recent months. The movement of of the global Islamic stock market during the pandemic also depends on regional and country-specific factors. Overall, the global Islamic stock market experienced volatility during the COVID-19 pandemic, but has shown signs of recovery. Investment decisions in the global Islamic stock market during the pandemic need to take into account factors that affect sector and country-specific performance.
